The place was busy, but service was prompt, even though it was only to change out a defective SIM card. Staff I experienced were busy, competent and cordial. All youd expect from Americas leading wireless service provider. If only their online chat sessions went so well!

EDIT and FOLLOW UP: I’ll buy online from now on, not going back here. Don’t fall for their sales tactics! They will screw things up and fail to fix their mistakes.Staff was really helpful when I was considering a new phone purchase; they helped remedy an old mistake by Verizon and THIS STORE, they called Verizon for me, followed up, it was great! Then, I buy the new phone, get talked into a new plan to save some money, THEN I get a notification that my bill is $110 HIGHER than it was supposed to be! I contacted the previously “helpful” manager and it was radio silence for DAYS (said he was sick... so, why doesn’t Verizon have a way to take care of customers when ONE manager is out??) . When he finally got back to me, he said I had to call Verizon and fix it myself. So, now I’m back to square one and the only thing that has changed is my confidence (DECREASED confidence) in Verizon and its staff to fix mistakes and care for their customers. 😤😤😤

Customer service is one of the most important things in making or breaking your experience at pretty much any store, dealership, etc. The other day I went to this Verizon and had such a notably great experience that I had to write a review. Lenny was honest, a pleasure to speak with, and helped us get the iPads, phones, and plan that was a perfect fit for us. If you go to this location, definitely get in touch with him because you won’t be disappointed.

I walked into the store to get my $1000 brand new iPhone transferred from my Samsung it was 640 and the guy looks at me and says to me Im sorry we close in about 20 minutes so we dont have to time to do this right nowWow thats some amazing customer I have been a customer for 15 years and I have never had a great good experience in the Crystal Lake store

I was very disappointed when I came into the Verizon store to shop for a phone. There are no prices posted, no specs displayed for any of the phones, minimal labels for each phone so you cant tell which phone you are looking at, and unless you want a top of the line phone, you wont find other older phones. They have them all in the back, unavailable for viewing.I did my research before I came​ in, but I still wanted to see the phones and have someone reasure me that the phone I chose would work well for what I would be using it for. I said right up front that I cant afford a $1000 phone and wanted to get something that was still good quality. The staff member immediately checked out and had obviously moved on.I went to Best buy, which also sells phones through Verizon, and they had prices and specs posted, gave me space to browse, and pulled up side by side specs so I could really see what I was buying when I was ready to talk. I remember Verizon being more friendly and more accessible. Very disappointing.

I received an operating system update that really messed with my phone. sales people said only option was a new phone!I told them the 13 month old phone was fine before the update, and they asked me to leave.Where did all the considerate staff go?I dont recognize a single soul.

The Crystal Lake Verizon store is one of the few places I will go to for any support. I dont bother calling the idiots at *611 (corporate) because theyre worthless. The Crystal Lake store is always friendly and helpful and has great customer service.

Staff is indifferent, unhelpful, and leaves you feeling violated.When you pay for insurance every month on your phone bill youd think that you could rely on them for help when an update makes your phone crash ever so conveniently on the last month of the 24 month payments. No your options are to spend more money to upgrade and lock yourself in another 24 month payment period or use your broken phone to call the number theyve given you to file a claim because they dont do that here.What a joke, get it together. You could at least mask your scam with a good customer service face. Visiting this location will just amount to disappointment. If you value your time and money, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.-I had to borrow someone elses phone to write this warning because Im still sitting pretty with no phone over here.

Arrived in store at 6:15 pm. Was told well be right with you, I replied no problem. I sat and waiting for one of the 2 employees assisting 1 customer on the floor to be free or one of the other 2 employees at the service desk helping 1 other customer to be free. I looked at the time when a new customer walked in at 6:33pm and he was immediately helped while I was still waiting for assistance. Terrible service and will not be going back.

I stopped in a couple of months about my S6 phone told them it wouldnt charge, they said nothing they could do told me to buy a wireless chager. So I bought the charger after doing the research found out it was covered under the warranty. So upon returning one associate said I had to pay outright, even though I explained it was covered I talked to another and got a new phone for free. So now I got my replacement and it was charging it was so hot it is now warped, stopped in talked to an associate he handed me card said they couldnt do anything. So I call Verizon they said you have to go back there and speak to the manager which, she looked at my phone can see it was warped said I had to pay for defective phone that is only 3 weeks old. By far the most unknowable staff Id ever had to deal with I would recommend anyone go there.

Was notified by Verizon that 3 billing inquiries were made on my account to get a duplicate bill. So I call the customer service line and found out that 6 inquiries were actually made on my account that day. And that the person doing the inquiry verified that it was me in the store! I was at work and did not go into the store or make any inquiries. I was told they were done by Jason in the store over a period of 3 hours.I decided to go to the store and ask Jason why he was making inquiries into my account and why he verified I was in the store if I wasn’t. I was told by Rich the manager that that was not true and that 6 inquiries were not made but I had customer service on the line saying that indeed they were done and all by Jason.Turns out Jason lied to verify my account because I was not in the store. He told me someone with a phone from my account came in... but I AM THE ONLY NAME ON THE ACCOUNT! No one should gain access to my account unless I am there. He then told me he was trying to fix a phone that had texting issues??? Then why did he request duplicate bills 3 times and look into my account 3 additional times for various reasons all notated on Verizon’s log. He did this in a 3 hour span. Even customer service could not understand this and has decided to investigate this.I was told by Rich that since they work for Verizon they can access anyone’s account without permission even a stranger driving down the street. He was bragging that he has the right to make inquiries into anyone’s account whenever they want. Why would this idiot have access to people information if he lacks the integrity to use it properly?So Verizon is investigating why this happened and they have apologized profusely and a formal complaint has been filed.Stay away from this store!

To be fair, I irritate the staff here frequently. They have been helpful for the most part, but theres this thing where youre always being sold. You really have to do your homework before going here or youll end up spending WAY more than you thought. And, por-tip... NEVER buy the accessories here, Amazon has the exact case and charger for pennies on the dollar every time. If you listen to the staff...theyll give you 25 or 30% off this bundle, but its still an ABUSIVE markup. I really want to like this place, and not every single associate there is Sell-ie, but it feels like the real life version of calling Comcast... everything is a great deal for you but itll cost more somehow....Not bad folks, but do your own research before going in here.

Cant call this location and talk to a human being unless you are already a customer apparently because its an automated system that requires a customer pin to put you through.
