We have called multiple times about having a cake made for an anniversary party as well as sent pictures. Each time we are told someone will call us back shortly and it never happens. Won’t waste anymore more time with this place.

Its not bad, as we have been multiple times and tried different items each time. The staff is friendly and the establishment is very clean. Its apparent whoever does the cake decorating is very talented. However, Mels in westlake and Sweet chic in Lake Charles have absolutely set the bar for cakes in the surrounding area. Its a standard for taste more than anything and sadly the Cake Bar for me has missed the mark on taste. A cup cake or cake needs to be more than beautiful to look at in elegant box. It absolutely must taste as good as it looks! The cakes are moist but the icing is the major shortfall for me, taste like something out of a bucket... I had high hopes for this place and still do. Most of the pieces to this puzzle of success are already in place, hopefully they get the icing figured out and itll pay off big time!

Been trying to get there for 3 days by 5:30 and the day that i actually make it they are closed before 5:30. Maybe i wont win cupcakes after all. 🙁
