Our experience at Etter was excellent from start to finish. Staff stayed past closing to meet our timeframe needs. Salesman Jim Howard was wonderful to work with, his no pressure approach was refreshing. Finance Manager Belinda Young was awesome, even helped us work through some technical difficulties as our lenders computer systems were having issues. Tech savvy Lindsey Etter offered a bells and whistles tutorial. Would definitely recommend this dealership!
This establishment has been in Crawfordsville for a very long time. My dad bought all his cars there, my grandparents bought all their cars there. They do great business, the shop does great work with great mechanics on site. I recommend Etter ford to any and everyone

I took my 2018 Ford F150 to Etter because whenever I plugged my trailer lights adapter or my trailer lights into the truck an error message would pop up every minute alternating between Trailer Connected and Trailer Disconnected. I was called and told my truck was fixed that it was a blown fuse. Total cost of a single fuse being replaced: $113! That evening when I got home my wife noticed the fuse box lid had been smashed in hood when it was closed by the technician. (See photo.) Also, the morning after my truck was fixed I plugged a trailer lights adapter into the truck and got the error message Trialer Lighs Module Fail. Obviously, my truck wasnt fixed so I literally paid $113 to have a fuse replaced that didnt solve my problem. I called Bill Estes Ford in Brownsburg and they said they would see the problem resolved and it would be covered by my 3 Year or 36,000 Mile Bumper to Bumper Warranty. Etter Ford said it couldnt be covered by the warranty.
The parts manager was extremely rude and hung up. Evidently because his names on the building and his parent own the place service and attitude do not matter. Extremely surprised.
Went there to buy a truck today and wanted to trade my current truck in. They offered me an amount and I was satisfied with the amount. When they found out I only owed a certain amount on my truck they made up a story on how this lady is buying it instead and they gave me the run around for around 2 hours. I was basically selling them my truck, then writing them a check for the remaining amount on their truck. I dont know who in their right mind would wait on this lady to get approved when you have a buyer standing here with cash. Doesnt make a bit of since and I cant wrap my head around it. The sales man could have just told me they dont want to do the deal? Pretty much just wasted my time today.Update**.. they just called me to harass me on this review. Very unprofessional. Will be calling the BBB.

We purchased a 2011 super duty 350 truck and would recommend dealership to anyone- they have a great small town feel and courtesy that makes you feel welcomed.
My son has been getting these recall letters about his passenger-side airbag and the power steering and it concerned me. I want him and his friends to be safe so I insisted on following up. It took him several weeks to actually get the appointment made but he eventually called them up. His car has been running perfectly since we bought it four years ago and continued to drive perfectly right up until we dropped it off at Etter. Never a problem outside of a flat tire. I drove with him to drop it off yesterday morning and it ran fine as per usual.He got a call that afternoon about all the things that are horribly wrong with it and urgently need to be replaced. I was not privy to the initial phone call and my son didnt know any better so he just trusted them when they said his battery, alternator, brakes and catalytic converter all need to be replaced. Luckily he only agreed to the battery until he could have a conversation with me. They fixed the recalled airbag and power steering and replaced the battery and we went to pick it up. The power steering no longer works. At all. The thing they were ethically and legally obligated to fix at no cost no longer works at all. I called to follow up and bring this to their attention and their response was Yeah the alternator is bad. Well have to change that out.This is ridiculous and unacceptable. All they had to do was make good on their obligation to correct the faulty engineering of Ford Company but apparently that isnt profitable so they had to invent a bunch of problems and ultimately leave the car in such a state of dysfunction that it is all but undrivable unless we agree to over a thousand dollars of further repairs. This is extortion.Etter Ford has reconfirmed and reinforced my well-founded distrust of dealership service departments. They are crooked and exploitative. I will be getting Etters failures corrected at Froedges where I know I can trust the people and the work.FOLLOW UP: It turns out all of the thousands of dollars worth of repairs and replacements that Etters wanted to charge us for were entirely due to a single blown fuse. The alternator is fine. In conclusion, Etters is either incapable or unwilling to do basic mechanical repairs without exaggerating defects, padding the bill, or outright lying.
Two years ago I bought my first car here. Being new to the country and new to driving it wasn’t easy for me to zero in to a reliable vehicle and a dealership. Etter Ford made it easy for me, not only the car turned out to be an excellent buy, the people are super nice too. I never felt disadvantaged due to my naivety in automotives. Though I have moved states, I won’t mind visiting them again just to say Hi or maybe to buy my second car from this business. This establishment truly deserves five stars for their professionalism, honesty and value to customer.

Ive only dealt with the Service Department so far. They were polite and helpful. Im now waiting on parts to come in before any work can be performed. Ill review their workmanship then.

I never have a problem getting into service and that team is phenomenal. Their selection is quality, but tiny. You might have a problem finding the right color AND the right trim package.

On a cross country road trip vacation this summer, our air conditioning malfunctioned and was blowing hot air on the passenger side. It was almost 100 degrees out, and it was brutal in the car. I called several ford dealerships along the way and all of them surrounding Greencastle where we were staying, and Etter was the only one that would get me in right away. All of the others said that they were at least a couple of weeks out, but we were scheduled to head to the next stop in the Poconos in less than a week. Etter took it in the next day and worked on it immediately, finding that it was a computer program failure that only costed a couple hundred bucks to fix. They could have easily overcharged me, as Id have paid about anything to have the AC fixed, but did it for the bare minimum and really helped me out in my situation with being flexible on the schedule. I could see that there were plenty of cars they were already working on, so clearly they went over and above for me. I couldnt be more grateful.

This was the best experience by far at any dealership Ive ever had. I had an excellent sales experience and and when I went in for my first oil change the service department was unbelievably friendly on top of the great service and very reasonable pricing.

Lost my pride and future sales with the company. Wifes key fab stopped working, went to setup and appointment, and they told her just to come in at opening. She had to sit there for an hour. When she left she was told the key doesnt work. However, they did fix it and its still working. She had to call back to clarify why the key is working and why she had to order a new key. However, then they told her she needed to order a new key and pay the full price for it. Compeletely disappointed in the lack of honesty this dealer represents Ford with. Will be moving on to Chevy or Honda in the future, and will be sure to let others know.

My father has not had a good experience with these people. He bought a used Jeep and within a month had to have a severely worn belt replaced. This should have been caught at the dealership. He also heard a noise in the engine and when he had the belt changed the mechanic said he heard the noise too and to take it into the dealership to have it looked at. He did and they said they heard nothing and charged him $50 even though it was still under warranty.
