Really cool place - so many different finds and a wide collection of vinyl. They get stuff in a couple of times a week, too. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Visited for the first time a few days ago and have to say I immediately liked it! Great vibe, very friendly and accommodating staff plus really great stuff to look at. Vintage and new records, oddities and curiosity items from funeral related to taxidermy and more. The new records and reasonably priced and the vintage records have some real bargains and are in fantastic used condition. Wide range from jazz to punk/indie and everything in between. Would recommend and will absolutely return.

This place is the absolute coolest! The staff are really awesome as well. I bought a taxidermied duckling while visiting Covington. When I brought it home my three year old daughter quickly got attached to Bobby Quacky as we named him. Well Bobby Quacky got left where the dog could get him and ended up in pieces. My three year old was heart broken and so I ordered another from Hail Records and Oddities website and sent an email with a picture of our duckling before and asked them to pick one who resembled Bobby Quacky if possible. They responded promptly saying they picked the closest duckling they could. They did a great job at picking out a new Bobby Quacky. My three year old is thrilled and loves her new Bobby Quacky. Really friendly owner. A great selection and variety of records. I found some things Ive been looking for for a while. There are plenty of the oddities and the whole store is a bit like an art instalation that you can buy pieces of. Well done and Ill definitely be back

I live in the neighborhood and go here often. Eclectic items and reasonable prices. Was able to score the Sisters of Mercy Album I was looking for and replenish my stock of black salt. The staff is friendly and helpful, patient with questions.

It is was great. I loved the selection of records, jewelry, and wet specimens. Ive always been one for the strange and to find a store that fits with that perfectly is great, not to mention how the prices were. Me and my friend could stop saying how cheap things were compared to other stores.

Much better stocked oddities than the sister HAIL in Nashville. Black Salt is 5 bucks for 2oz witch is a quite bit pricy so i didnt get it. But my teenager found a necklace and a couple things. And i got a mouse for $45. Sending a friend over.

I dont have photos from this place but I can at least attest to the store having very friendly and knowledgeable, open-minded staff. I see the same workers every single time I stop in, they are open and friendly. I dont see them ever refusing to assist a person or answer a question. I am personally always impressed with their variety of vhs tapes, literature, art, statues, crystals, t shirts, jewelry, magazines, oddities, gifts, and records!!!! It is so worth visiting this shop a few times a year.

Super-fun shop of horrors & oddities. Taxidermy, preservations, cult & occult books, apparel, jewelry, music & more available. If youve got someone in your life that is eclectic and hard to shop for, this is a place to consider browsing. Its a small shop with breakables; its probably not a great idea to bring strollers or curious little ones in. The gentleman working in the store was very chill, and was obviously friendly with his neighbors as well as customers. He has great taste in music! It might also be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair.PS: if anyone wants to gift me a certain coyote with a witchs hat, dm me.

Really cool to have a non Traditional shop that showcases really different and interesting oddities. Owner is super cool and took time to explain some items I had questions on and has really extensive knowledge. If you want to do something different and step outside of the box, do yourself a favor and stop by!

Wow what an incredible place. I recently moved to Covington and this was my first stop. My wife and I have been growing our vinyl collection and the owner of the shop loaded me up with Huey Lewis and the News, Hall and Oates and Meatloaf. Definitely worth checking out if you like odd things and a record!

Amazing store with quality and unique products. My experiences there have always been wonderful and it makes the world of difference when you can tell that the people who run the shop genuinely care about their patrons. My Disappointment Is Immeasurable on the food selection, but the oddities and record selection is top notch. The owner is super nice and knowledgeable! They have all the dried bats for all your dried bat needs.

Definitely an odd shop. Odd taxidermy all around. But the best part was all the records. It was fun to browse everything. I could easily have spent more time there. Neither employees that were there acknowledged me for the thirty minutes I was there however.

Actually a record store that sells oddities. A modest selection of books. Vinyl selection is mostly older pop/rock, but there is a little bit of something from every genre. Dont really have any stereo equipment or accessories. Oddities include anatomy and occult art, pickled critters, real and fake taxidermy, framed insects, old medical equipment, and a few neat displays not for sale. They advertise layaway for purchases. The Nashville location offers more decore items like bone lamps, this is a similar but entirely different experience, definitely worth going to both.

Nill is the most welcoming and friendly store owner I’ve ever met! His knowledge about different music and passion for records is astounding!

Nill is an awesome dude who’s always kind and friendly to everyone. He has a nice selection of records and oddities you won’t find anywhere else. Some people have told me it’s like a museum in there and he should be charging admission for people to just come inside and look at everything. If your in MainStrasse be sure to stop in and check everything out!
