Ill go to REI but always end up back here. Im sure the quality of gear isnt as impressive as the high dollar stuff elsewhere but Im not a professional anything! The gear here has performed every single time for a fraction of the cost. Also, they still sell guns like a real sporting goods store. The customer service is fantastic so is the merchandise.

We came here to look over the large selection of work boots for our son. Being able to try on 5 pairs (they have about 20 to 25 to chose from) to find one that fit well. It was nice as it saved us from driving to numerous places. We were also able to get a few pairs of heavy duty work pants for him.

Its not very big but it is generally well-stocked.The staff ate very nice.

Big5 what can I say . Theyre the best sporting good stores. You need camping fishing sportswear, shoes for the outdoors casual shoes. You get it here. You can get your fishing license here to. Exercise equipment. And when they have there sales . Its hard to beat their prices.Theres a lot more stuff there than what I mentioned. Service was excellent

Had what i wanted at a good price so i bought it...

I was looking for work boots, and no one really helps. I guess the manager, who seems to love to talk alot. Was in the backroom and I and two other people needed assistance. We had to wait till she stopped talking to her employee about some guy named Bryan cutting his finger. I would not come back to this Big 5 again. I had to call the store to jave someone assist me and I was already in the store. Wow!!

The first time I went there, was to buy some comfy boots for work, since I have to stand at my post all 8 hours...The manager who helped me was some man with a beard...Omg he was so hilarious! Anyway, I had to go back twice since the first pair of boots were not comfortable, and needed to get another pair...When I went back the 1st time to exchange my boots, there was this cute little stud with short hair who was very polite, and had me exchange my boots...As Im walking to the back I notice it was the same man from the day before who helped me, and I told him why I was exchanging my boots...Again he cracked me up lol...I took the new boots home wore them to work the next day...Nope too wide!!! I swear when I tried them on back at the store, they fit good!!! I went back to the store later that day after work and BAAMMM!!! He was there helping me out one last time...Finally!!! The right boots came along!!! Remembering him makes me laugh!!! Hes so awesome!!! Everyone that I came across that work there; the stud, the Asian lady, and the Latina were awesome too!!! Very great work ethic!!!

I normally wouldt post a review for a Big 5, but this one was worth mentioning because of its size- This is a big store! Ive been to several Big 5 stores in the past for random sporting goods or cheap shoes, and this is probably the biggest Big 5 that Ive been to. Good customer service and obviously great selection.

My son and I stopped here for a quick purchase. We came across regular priced cleats for adult sizes, but did notice sales for the children sizes. Baseball socks and cleats were easily accesible. Employees were attentive and curteous. Always good to be able to walk into a sporting goods store and see everything stocked nicely.

This is one of my favorite places to go for hiking boots, sports and outdoor stuff at great prices.

They are beyond disorganized! The staff has trouble taking care of any individual customer! They show lack of interest in making any effort toward customer satisfaction! They have poor communication and become careless when someone calls them for something specific! I called, a gentleman answered and he put me on hold to look for an item I had asked about only for a woman to answer and ask me what questions I had and then I specified again what I was looking for and then it was either the same woman or someone else picked up asking what I had call for? REALLY! It was a simple question on such a simple item. I have walked in countless times looking for something while the staff showed lack of interest in helping when little to no customers were around the store! I dont understand how such a small store compared to all the larger stores they have located elsewhere show no interest in taking care of a customer! I live right down the street and i am definitely not going back! The time is 2:37 P.M. and today is 06/29/17 I live on Azusa ave in Covina!

Got everything I need. This is the second time where I went to Dicks Sports first and couldnt find what I need and end up finding it here. This place is 10 times smaller than Dicks but this small store is packed with selections and competitive price!

Understaffed

One of the associates of the shoe department, was not helpful at all. Very clueless, bad manners the whole time, and also seemed careless. Everytime he was asked about a certain shoe size, he wouldnt check and just say the shoe size wasnt available. Very lazy, lacking good customer service. Customer Service is a big deal, this needs to be fixed.
