Open till they remodel and do a reopen. A lot of inventory on sale 50% off and more. I think its a good idea to stock up on your windshield wipers, brake pads, car air filters and engine oils currently in stock.A lot of the associates were attentive and very customer oriented providing a smooth transaction. I am a returning customer since 2001. Set your expectations before you walk in the front door know what you need know what you want and try not to rely on very busy associates but if you do and you need to theyll be there for you to get you through the issues if you have an understanding and compassionate mind.
The service was great! I explained my problem, & they diagnosed my car told me the cost and told me how long the job would take. They were true to their word & I was out in the time they told me. I loved that they were honest and I payed exactly why they quoted me, no surprises, just straight up, they explained everything to me, & I was very satisfied with all the service. I highly recommend this Pepboys, and Jimmy was a pleasure to have had take care of my car. He is so knowledgeable and explain everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. HELLO, I’ve had my car serviced at PEP BOYS in Covina a handful of times, to name a few four new tires, horn replacement, oil changes, replacement of shocks and struts. Each time I was pleasantly helped by jimmy Villa and Daniel, both guys were extremely helpful, generous and professional . Thank you both I appreciate you the quality of customer service, I don’t trust any other place now bc the quality of professionalism I received and the top quality of workmanship that was done. Great service. Walk in customer, came in early afternoon for oil change, air filter, and tire rotation. Done within a few hours.As a mechanic myself I use them to document the regular maintenance for my cars extended warranty. Also as a mechanic I dont tend to worry about my tps light for a low tire, cause I can tell it isnt flat.. just a couple lbs lite.These guys aired up my tires and filled my washer fluid (has always leaked empty at the rear doors because of panel van conversion)Its super hot outside, hot under the hood. Respect
Went for an oil change but regretted it when they didn’t seem to be in a hurry even though I had an appointment. In my estimation it should take no longer than 30-45 mins to complete an oil change. Yes, my tires are a little worn but they still have enough tread for now as per the usual upsell. As much as we would like to, we can’t blame everything on Covid-19. Pep boys needs to show a bit more “pep” at this location. I made a phone call and went exploring the nearby empty shopping center while I waited so the wait wasn’t a total loss.🤷♂️

I dont know if the pandemic got them rattled this year, but for some reason their quality has dramatically dropped. Its a shame, because my mom and I have been taking our cars here for years. The last time I took my car in for an oil change (May 2021) within a few days all of a sudden my 4 year old car had a screw loose that leaked out all my transmission fluid.😰 I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was just a coincidence. Now I know something shady is going on at this place. Two days ago my moms car needed to be serviced for an alternator. The AAA tow truck guy was sure. She had it taken to the Azusa Pep Boys and booked an online appointment since her car broke down late at night. They called her yesterday saying that it is most likely not the alt and they need to run a diagnostic test. Well $100+ and a day later today they said, is is the alt. 😡Today she picked up the car and discovered that her car driver handle was broken. 🤬She immediately told the service desk that the handle was. The customer service guy told her it arrived like that!!!! Then even tried to blame the tow guy!!!😳 My mom happened to open the driver door to take something out after the car was delivered and just before she left it over night to be serviced in the morning. After what happened to my car and now my moms car within just a few months we both are never going back to pep boys. 🙈There is something shady going on there and we are taking our business elsewhere.
Can not trust jaime. He is a assistant manager. Mostly unfriendly and rude. He do not like his job. I hate going there in fear of having to deal with him. This location is cleaner. Yet. I have a credit card with them. After 3 diff cars and ft and back breaks. The breaks are still sounding out on one. I must take it back. I pray there will be no conflict only RESOLUTION. ASK FOR JEFF
Took my car in for a battery change and when I picked it up, the rear windows and locks didnt work. I was told it was a coincidence and had nothing to do with how they removed and replaced the battery. Took car to the dealer and they said Pep Boys removed the battery incorrectly causing a short circuit to the rear. Costs over $900 to fix and Pep Boys didnt want to take responsibility for it. Will never go there again. Avoid this place.
Reformatted sales floor because of the pandemic, but still very customer service oriented. Went in for a quart of oil and an extension for a sun visor. Saw this wonderful new item which just arrived. A multi function emergency flash light, with two different types of light, a window breaking tool and seat belt cutter for accidents. And it has a magnetic base for sitting on the car roof, and a series of flashing red LEDs on two sides for use as a warning device at accidents and break downs. Yes, I took one of those home with me also.

Got front and rear brake serviced performed on my truck! Couldn’t be more satisfied with the guys at the desk as well as the technician that did the job! They took 4 hours to read the codes from the check engine light. Then they didnt give me the codes and their meanings that relate to the 2500.00 tune up they recommended. The service guy behind the counter has attitude. Very bad experience wont be back.

My vehicle had a slight misfire is cylinder 5 was told it need a tune up to fix. they replace all the parts. still a misfire was told then had to keep it a second day second . vehicle still misfiring and now today i have a fuel injector leaking after he said the had to swap fuel injectors around to confirm the diagnosis that day. brought vehicle in this morning refused to acknowledge then damaged injector in process of diagnosis....$800.00 out so far vehicle still there.........dont go there

Great selection of items for your car. They have tools, car washing materials, oil change items. Many good things that if you buy on sale you can get for a good price. Usually have pretty good prices on tires too. Have your oil changed here, with a coupon. Maybe even a brake job if the price is right. You can bring your old oil here if you do it yourself. Very nice store.
Made an appointment at 9 for an oil change and change rear brakes. Didnt get my vehicle back til just before 6. I also have a fleet vehicle and they changed out my tires that barely had milage on them. They change out good tires when not needed. There shady. Youll waste your day waiting and spend more money then you have using there mechanics.

I went in less then two weeks ago for an oil change. That morning I helped jump start a car with my Honda battery. When I got my car back after my oil change I noticed my radio stations were off but thought nothing of it till I started having battery problems. Today when I popped open my hood I had a Walmart battery that was older then my actual car. My car was parked in the safety of my own home and they were the only ones who have touched my car other than myself. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!! They will steal from you.
I was there last Tuesday and was a guy on the phone but he asks me how he can help me I told him I like to do the oil changed and one of my tires have a screw but I dont know how deep was so I want them to check but I wasnt sure if they have time because I was there at 4:10 pm so he told me yes we have time give me a second like all ways they said, after 15 min waiting because he was on the phone he told me we dont going to have time today but I can schedule you for tomorrow and I was mad I told him why you said yes and after 15 minutes waiting he said no is B.S sorry but is I dont understand because if you get any place is customer service and they dont close they have time is easy for them to do this I hope someone take care of this.

I worked late and desperately needed an oil change and called Pep Boys #841 on Azusa Ave in Covina since they were the only ones still open. With only 45 minutes before closing, Louie assisted me over the phone and told me to bring my car right over and he’d check it. With only 35 minutes before closing, Louie agree to do the oil change and completed it before 8pm. Louie gave friendly, excellent and awesome professional customer service that anyone would appreciate, and made one happy customer out of me!!! I highly recommend Louie with Pep Boys to get the job done at this particular store!! I also observed the positive, friendly and professional customer service from every employee, as well, even when it was near closing time! Thanks again!!

Booked online the night before coming in for an oil change on my Mazda 3. They took a bit longer than I thought they would due to being backed up, but it was definitely worth it. They took very good care of my car, figuring out exactly what I needed and even going into my cars computer and updating my scheduled oil change reminder. Will definitely be coming back - these guys were awesome and took very personal care of me!

I was there intended to have my alternator change, but service rep. Israel recommended that I have it check over first since my engine light didnt turn on just to make sure so I wont waste money. The test came back negative; service rep. Israel recommended that I do a 3-steps gas cleaning or something..the problem solve, saved me around $200 buck. Very honest place. Highly recommended. But wait time kind of long. The place opens at 8 am instead of 7:30 as stated on google.

This is the perfect place to go if you want to feel invisible and under-valued as a customer. I walked up to the counter where a service associate stood looking helpful. When he got called away for a moment, the two other associates standing a few feet away pretended not to see me as they discussed a mutual friend. When an elderly woman came in behind me, they literally walked AROUND me to ask what she needed. She was there to pick up the keys to her car that had been serviced. The associate, without checking, said, Theyre still working on it. The woman shook her head, No they arent, it is parked over on the side. After checking they discovered that her car was indeed done. When she left, the other associate came over to me and asked if I needed anything! After standing there and being ignored for a solid five minutes I said, Yes, I need to find another service shop. I left.

I had an appointment for a simple oil change at 3pm. When I arrived I was told that the wait time was 2 hours before my car would be taken in for service. So what was the point of scheduling an appointment? The guy that helped me said we had priority over anyone who was waiting without an appt. I really don’t care about that, I scheduled an appointment with the expectation of being helped at that time. There where about 6 guys working on one car. Two people waiting in the lobby. Do not have an appointment system if it is not honored. It was a waste of my time.
If you have any car problems do not take it to this place in Covina. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They hardly speak English and trying to accomplish anything is difficult. I asked for a windshield wiper check and my entire car broke down the next day. It took them 3 hours just to see my car. ISRAEL whats his face is god awful. The man tries defending himself when I ask exactly what the heck he did to my car. I am not happy about this place and my hope is that someone will actually read this and take their business somewhere else. These guys are clowns. UNPROFESSIONAL, CARELESS, and CLASSIC MECHANIC TRY TO MILK YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY is what these guys are all about.
Bryant was very courteous and helpful, store is HUGE with a great selection of all things auto. Only gripe is the long wait (over two hours) for a simple oil change. But, that can be remedied if you call ahead and schedule an appointment. Ill be back for more!

When in to drop off my car to get the check engine light looked at an to see if they fix the leak from transfer case actuator. Story short dropped it off at 11:30 got my car back 30min before closing just to tell me all they did was run a engine diagnostic an changed my gas cap total $115. 6hr just for that wasted my time
Nonexistent customer service. I walked around and found everything myself (oil, filter, and tools) and went to the cash register and waited and waited and waited. Finally, I turned and started to walk out of the store, and it was only then that the manager got out of his mirrored office to offer assistance. I imagine he watched as I looked around in frustration but failed to offer any help until he saw me leaving. This is not the only time Ive experienced this problem at this store. They lost a sale and Ill shop elsewhere first.
This place was terrible! I have never written a review before but this time I felt it is was necessary... They tried taking advantage of me and they will do the same to you!! They wanted to charge me over $200 and the problem occurring didnt even need what they were trying to sell me! I didnt let them go through with what they recommended and the manager yelled at me for not carrying a piece that fit correctly. Plus they kept me waiting for 40 minutes, they didnt even have the decency to tell me my car was done. Once I got the car back my AC was already working again (probably just needed a little adjusting). This place is disgusting!!! Do not use them, they will just try taking advantage of you too!!!!Update: After reading this, the manager Tom looked up my information to call me personally and apologize for the way that I was treated. He also offered me a refund for the initial cost of looking at the car and assured me his employees would receive the proper training necessary in regards to customer service.
I went to get a wheel alignment and was told I needed new wheel bearings. I took my truck to Tucker Tire and was told my wheel bearings were good. I just went to have a nail pulled out of my tire and and have it repaired and was told that my tire needed to be replaced because it punctured the side wall. I again went to another place that repairs tires and saw the mechanic pull the nail out of my tire which was only stuck in the tread sideways and with the point of the nail only stuck into the rubber about 1-2 centimeters and did not even puncture completely through the tire. The nail was pulled out and did not have a puncture hole.DO NOT GET WORK DONE HERE, JUST BUY PARTS AND SUPPLIES ONLY. DO NOT PURCHASE TIRES FROM HERE. THE MECHANICS JUST WANT YOU TO PAY MORE FOR THEIR LABOR COST BECAUSE THATS HOW THEY MAKE MONEY, THEY ARE NOT PAID HOURLY.
While they do warn you in advance that an oil change can take up to 2 hours, I was surprised to find that it literally did. Waiting area has hard plastic chairs, but a TV is also provided. Ive been to better pep boys, but the staff here is friendly so that is a plus.
Really bad service. I don’t see the point of making appointments if they still make you wait for hours. I had my car supposedly aligned and my car still pulls one way. I like how the manager takes the time to reply saying how they’re going to improve but it seems to get worse. Save yourself the time and money and take it somewhere more professional.

I had a flat driving back from Palm Springs to the Bay Area. After calling around to find any place open on a Sunday afternoon that didnt have a four hour wait to do a simple one tire installation, I spoke to Israel, who assured me it would be 1 to 1.5 hours.We arrived and he took care of everything and we were out in under 1.5 hours. About an hour down the road, he called me to let me know Id left my laptop in their waiting room. After so long on the road I really didnt want to turn around and drive back and he assured me he could ship it to me via fed ex and to call back in the morning.I called their store in the morning and spoke to the manager, Rich, who said it would be no problem. I created a fedex pickup to that store and emailed Rich the shipping label.Thats where I currently am in the process, but I wanted to provide feedback on such excellent customer service. This was my first trip to pep boys but wont be my last.
I needed a new battery so i purchased one online that came with a free installation. It seemed convenient until I realized they taking over an hour to switch it out. I got here at 4:50pm my appointment was at 5 and it is now 6pm and im still here in the sitting room as i type this. Save your self 1hr+ and do it at home. Lesson learned

Went today to change the tiers on my truck and the manager said it takes 30 minutes max... after waiting for one hour and half they didnt did nothing.. the van wasnt even moved and they have no one car in the working area ... by the end i cancelled the transaction and left ... dont ever waste your time or money at this place

The front desk as very unprofessional I have a job I need to be at and I asked over and over how long an oil change would take. Mind you I drove into a clear lot with no cars and one already pulled down parked and ready to go. So he says it will b pulled up. Cool. 15 mins go by and no one has touched my car. So I walk to the front ask this same guy whats the hold up he walks away comes back into his desk area without a word of notice as to why my car hasnt been pulled up. At this point Im like give me my keys Im not losing my job for these fools. All of a sudden someone begins working on my car and Mr cant communicate comes out to tell the guy I want my car.oh he heard that come out but couldnt come and properly tell me what the hold up was. Very rude and horrible service. I see why its so clear. No one wants to work
My finance and I took the car to get check but since Im covered under warranty I had to wait... we were there for four hours and nothing! My fiance was getting upset with how long it was taking so we ended up leaving we went to another pep boys in the morning but they couldnt work on the car because they didnt have a transmission guy so we were forced to go to this one when we called they said that they had one but when we got there and told them it was under warranty they all of a sudden didnt have anyone... Im sure they dont care if we never go back since they have people go in all the time but I felt that I should share my experience so other would know what they have to deal with if they are covered under silverrock

The people on the floor were very helpful, knowledgeable and went out of their way to help me with my purchases, to the point of bringing the gallons to the register to finish the transactions.Like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, when I went to the service area to recycle my oil, the older of the two mechanics was the complete opposite of the people in the store, rude, grumpy, certainly left a bad experience in my mind of what had been a very pleasant buying experience.

I got what I went for however it was a 3.5 hr wait for tire that was covered under warranty. I did get loud when they said we cant do anything for you tonight. I think the guys name was Vinny he settled me down and said give me 10 minutes. I did apologize for flipping out even though I shouldnt have because I still have to go back and get it balanced.
I had a nail in my tire and the previous night I went to pepboys and it was 15 minutes till closing and they said they would not be able to because they were closing but they were open Sunday come back in the morning. So I did! And guess what!! The clerk said they only take appointments on sundays and were full. I have always used pepboys but this is definitely the last time I bother with them.

Went to get break light replaced, told me they couldn’t fix it, to have dealer fix it. Dealer only had to replace bulb to fix issue. How incompetent are these technicians that they can’t even replace a bulb, wasted my time.

The customer service was terrible.I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for 2 simple replacements, a battery and filter.They got my passenger window stuck in the 1/2 way position and only told me about when I was paying to leave.I only went for a battery, the filter was inspected and removed without prior approval.It was actually two filters.I refused replacing the second filter.This is retail upselling without communicating with me.I will never go to Pep Boys again.Bad customer service and lack of communication at its best!
