Good variety but not in my size. Mens large. Besides that it was clean and organized. Help wanted signs at the door. Not once did a staffer talk to me.

There is never an associate available to help find things. Also the stock is very picked through the options arent the greatest at this location either. So unless you order online picking up here I would say at least have a back up plan like a store to check out if they dont have what youre looking for. An definitely be prepared to find what your looking for yourself & know your sales and coupons dont rely on the sales staff to be on top of it some are some arent.

Returned 2 pair of jeans that didnt fit. Reordered 2 more in a different brand. Clerk had problem - patiently waited 15 minutes. Went to a different clerk to buy towels, candle and candy. She had problems, too. Two more clerks helped her - another 45 minutes. I didnt complain. Two days later received a phone call from corporate office accusing me of leaving store without paying for the jeans.I told him to watch the surveillance video - if he wanted to watch me for the entire HOUR that I was at the customer service counters.I give 4 stars because I like their merchandise.

Clean store, friendly staff, large selection, good prices and some really great sales make it a fun place to shop.

I placed in order for same day pickup. The money was taken from my account, but I never received an email confirmation. I waited a couple hours and called. I was told my order would be available in 2 days. I said no It was same day pick up. I was placed on hold twice and finally hung up on. The following day still no email. I went to store, item was in stock and asked for my item. They still tried to tell me 2 days. A manager finally went and looked and item was there waiting. Placed in the wrong spot. Very rude customer service.

Gotta love J.C. Penney. The only suggestion is more young womens Activewear shorts.

Staff were available & fast & friendly. A coat I had purchased was available in a bigger size, but store was out of stock. I was unaware I could have one ordered _& sent to the store. The cashiers assisted me with a quick & easy option whereas I would of just left & been uncomfortable in a coat too snug. Thank you!

JCP has a great selection of clothing in store and online meeting needs of tall and large too. The salon has professional stylists with fabulous talent. They more experienced stylists mentor the younger less experienced ones. I like home department with the expanded version online.

Sam at the salon did an amazing job on my daughters hair. She took before and after pictures and even curled her hair. Which is very hard to do. My daughters hair is so strait. Very pleasant experience.

Great Fathers Day sales going on

Went in last Sunday 3/28/2021 and ordered IN-STORE two wedding bands. Matching wedding bands as in appearance and alloy, 14k. After the order and I receive my email confirmation it says the womans is 10k... Supposed to be both 14k. Would have happily paid the extra maybe $40 to get it right the first time. Not happy, being that I took a credit inquiry hit to acquire JCPenny credit card to save an extra 15% for 24 hours only 😡🤬.4/11/2021 Making progress. Looking forward to deleting all comments upon receiving. Fyi JCPENNY, the womans ring my fiancée and I returned that day did come in the wrong size.. but! Good news! The lady helping us was excellent and the manager she called was excellent aa well. Babysteps to redemption.

Around the childrens clothes it was super unorganized and barely anything to choose from.

In a suit they hook me up

First off, opening a store at 11am on a Saturday, who does that? Once I got done waiting for the store to open I was totally disappointed with the amount of merchandise in the store, it was horrible. Advertised underwear 7 for $35 and I had to dig to find three pair in my size, the drawers were completely empty. Very disappointed with my whole shopping experience.

Had everything I was looking for and a coupon!

While I was camping 2 hours away I put some stuff in my cart that I chose carefully by colors and checking size charts and online you got a 30% discount this weekend but at the store you could get 30 40 or 50%, so I stopped at the store close to my house on the way home and received a 40% off coupon which made a sizable difference on the cost of my order. I could not apply the 40% to my online order though and I was short on time so the manager took me to the different sections and showed me where everything was on my online order and I purchased it there . that manager I wish I got her name in council bluffs went above and beyond to help me and I was very grateful!

Went into exchange a pair of shorts and a shirt my daughter received for graduation to the proper sizes.. We found a pair of shorts but, shirts were gone. Customer Service was great about exchanging and putting the difference on shirt back to the card.. my only concern was that even with a mask covering post on all the doors and throughout the store people are still allowed to ignore the rule. I was on the East Coast earlier this month where it is clearly posted everywhere, No Mask, No Service!.. my other concern was that I saw several employees wearing the masks but, under their noses.. not a complete covering as recommended.

Purchased a watch here years ago. Love the watch. Have always brought it back to the Council Bluffs store to replace the batteries. Have a punch card for the battery replacement, was at the free one the other day. Took the watch in, and nope, would not replace battery, this is not the way business should be handled, purchased for the first two. Was referred to Kay Jewelers, pretty sad when the man at Kay even said it should have been honored. The company is already struggling, but must not be interested in keeping customers.

Went looking for a suit for husband, good selection and were able to find what we needed. The lady at checkout was very good but she was by herself and there was quite a line. She called for help that never arrived. Management needs to do a better job of supporting their employees!!!

School shopping has defiantly depleted inventory.

Service in the salon was poor. Stood at counter and waited for anyone to notice. If you are too busy with a class, LEAVE a note at counter stating such! Failure to notice a customer results in the customer never coming back. Remember the 1 customer will either recommend to 10 people either positive or negative considerations for your store.

I loved how I was got a lot of stuff on sale. The isles are small for a shopping cart though. This store was pretty big now that I think about it. Other then the small space it was a overall nice 😎 cool place to shop. Got some things on sale even when I didnt know it was on sale. Always a win win. 😂 overall nice spot to shop will shop here again for my needs again. Love the sales so Ill go around sale times!

OK store. As expected of a chain store, it is occasionally understaffed (usually around the holidays).As far as cleanliness goes, its not bad. Fitting rooms are often tidy. Clearance racks are great. Prices are awesome there. As for style, it varies.Prices on the rest of the store are as expected. Moderately high, but for high price brands. Employees are usually nice, albeit scarce. Never had an issue with them. If youre thinking about Black Friday, dont. Its a nightmare.

Excellent price on a 10 pack of face masks. Only $10 plus tax.

I got a girls dress for 40% off and once I checked out it didn’t ring up as 40% off, so I asked the worker “isn’t the dresses 40% off?” he said no! I asked “are you sure?” he said yes! And this young man was so sure that he was giving me faces (RUDE) ........ I replied “I saw back there that it was”...... he just stared at me waiting for me to let it go.......... then his coworker said to call ( ) who I am assuming is management of some sort. And so he did and asked and hung up and said “yea they are”............ thank you to the coworker for doing his job and giving me the benefit of the doubt without rudeness.

Their prices are way too high for some of the things they sell.

I took two of my Relic watches here to get a battery replaced. Pretty simply task. Couldve done it myself if I had the tools. The older ladys working the jewelry department seemed like they didnt care to do it. They gave the job to a younger girl who definitely didnt know how to do it. She was trying to get the back of the watch off for a solid 10 minutes before I looked over because I heard a noise, and she was banging my watches against the counter. She told me she had to send the watches out to get the battery replaced. I signed off on it. I got a call later saying that the two watches were broken and it would be $80 each to fix them. The girl working broke my watches and took no responsibility for it. My watches worked before I took them there. All I needed was a battery and the jewelry department broke my watches.

Strong retail outlet with options and quality selection. Need to figure out the check-out process. Why even have 8 check-out positions and only staff 3? Dont understand why a retail outlet would even allow the check-out wait line get to 20+ deep? As long as youre prepared to wait 10-15 minutes to check-out you wont be disappointed.

They have great sales here. It is smaller than most I have been to but there is still a lot of variety. Their quality is really good. The sales staff was friendly and efficient. My Granddaughter needed to ask a question of them and they treated her just as they would have treated any other customer. That was a huge plus for me. I really appreciated that. Parking is ample and access is easy.

I found what I needed after looking for quite some time. I dont like the new layout of the store the mens socks were in a odd place no wear near the shoes. The customer associates were helpful and friendly.

I happen to love this store and when they have sales its usually good sales where you can save up to 80 90% if you do it right and they always have quality merchandise I hope they never close down here in Council Bluffs.

Offering a large variety of home furnishings. I am pulling for them as I don’t want to see them end up like Sears. Staff here is usually helpful and friendly and no waits to checkout.

Rene dyed my hair an all over color, was great. But DO not get a hair cut from her . My hair looked like I cut it at home and she doesn’t blend or texturize. You truly get what you pay for . Cheap hair cut cheap outcome . Gabrielle on the other hand did texturize my hair once I came back and asked for it, she was very kind to me and helped me even though I still wasn’t happy because my hair had to go shorter in order to fix the mess. When I went back I heard Rene snickering and laughing as if she’s happy that she cuts hair in a cheap way, if that’s how she wants to be portrayed she did an incredible job . I do not recommend hair cuts from Rene .. she gets paid cheap to cut hair and she lets it be known .

Awesome customer service with good sales. Unfortunately not everyone can benefit from coupon usage and I am a platinum card holder and wasnt sent a coupon. JCP should remember that Kohls doesnt do this and are in stiff competition with them.

Im a JC Penney shopper and cant understand why theyre having such a difficult time. While this is a small store, I do like it. As the company keeps making cuts to staff its obviously making it more difficult to get help. But I still like this store.

Best place to go for dresses and other womens clothing. I can usually find what Im looking for and there is usually a good coupon available.

We purchased unicorn sheets & a mattress protector for our granddaughters new bed. The products were perfect, good quality & in use.

Got some nice shirts on sale today. But came to buy a new mattress to find out they just recently stopped carrying them at that location.

Poor selection, black Friday items hidden, unmarked and less than 50% stocked. Had to wait for an associate to go search in the backroom only to come out and tell me they failed to even order what was pictured in the ad. Furthermore why are your Black Friday items stocked in the back when they should be on filled shelves on the floor? Really? I bet if your black Friday ad stated well only have in stock what we already had on sale prior to black friday less people would show up. Every item I looked for was depleted and I was one of the first people in the store then I get told I can only use my coupon at that location? This particular location should be giving out rain checks for ignorance. DISAPPOINTED and wont be returning here.

Great prices as usual but their associates are a bit pushy with the rewards card. I told her no but she insisted 3 or 4 more time afterward, bit annoying. The sephora there is great and very knowledgeable about their products. If youre a newbie to makeup they are great and will not take advantage of you.

Not a good experience went to jewelry dept to get my wifes wedding ring repaired and jewelry dept is telling me I have no warranty that I paid almost $200 for so Im not a happy camper right now. I have the paperwork to prove it so will be back for a full refund.

Went for Sephora, ...easy in easy out.

Dont visit stores like this very often, but always surprised by the amount and variety of stuff they carry. Bought some curtains and rods and found some Nike gear for one of my kids on sale. I also like that sephora is there and I can take the easy route for gifts for my daughters.

Good quality clothes and good deals. Easy access.

They cant find their backside with both hands. Last 3 times we purchased items, they rang up incorrectly--how does this happen in a digital world? Everything is marked as clearance but nothing is priced as clearance. When you mark something up by 60% then take 60% off, that is not clearance. Market share continues to deteriorate, they will be gone soon.

Pretty decent store. However the store needs to be more clean. Clothes and hangers are on the floor and the dressing rooms were full of clothes.
