At the end of a 5000 mile road trip with wife and dog, just 400 miles from home, a thumping vibration developed in the front end of our Element. It had become quite alarming by the time we stopped for the night at a motel in Council Bluffs. I found that Authentic Auto Repair was just a half mile away and open according to Google Maps. I called and Jason said he wasnt at that location, gave me an address about 10 minutes away and said to drive over ( he would be there until midnight ) and he would look at it. He stopped what he was doing and gave my car his full attention, listened to my description, gave it a thorough look over and a test drive, checked the internet for similar symptoms on similar vehicles but everything was ruling out. He jacked up the car, took another look and quickly found and fixed the problem which could have been catastrophic if not attended to. Forty-five minutes total time and we were fit for the road. If I lived anywhere near Omaha - Council Bluffs I would never use anybody else.

This was the 1st place I called! My car broke down & I thot it was the transmission come to find out I had broke the right-side axle. Jason gave me a spot on quote for parts & labor and performed the work right where my car was! I was back up & running & able to make it back home! He worked with me on the parts & labor too. Jason helped me when my Tacoma trucks drive train assembly needed to be replaced.I was in Omaha on business.I broke down on I-80 Eastbound across from Kinnefick Park at 9PM so I used Google Maps to search for a towing service near me as well as an auto repair shop.Thats how I found Authentic Auto Repair.When I called I was surprised that someone answered so late.When the tow truck brought me and my truck to a repair shop at a house I was concerned but I figured he would have bad reviews if there was a problem and that the repair would be pretty straight forward.Also, I think its important to support small local business and the internet is helping do that in this example while in others it is not.This happened on Saturday night. A replacement wasnt available on Sunday so on Monday a part was made by a person Jason has worked with before.The part was installed Tuesday and the vehicle was ready after 4PM.Jason offered to pick me up which was nice.I recommend Authentic Auto Repair.

The short: Jason not only knows his stuff, he will treat you right.The long: My Prius last Friday night decided to not start after I was done getting groceries. Saturday a friend took me back to the car and it started just fine. He had a device that could test the small battery (not the drive battery of a hybrid) but i wasnt sure enough of the result to spend nearly $200 on a new battery. Jason hooked the car up to his diegnostic equipment and not only did he pinpoint the issue, he was able to reproduce the problem. After a quick trip to the parts store, he had the battery swapped out with lighting speed.
