Miranda was a great help in getting me my climate controlled storage unit. I had been in earlier in the day and there were no units available. One opened up in the afternoon and she tracked me down and personally called me to let me know that one had opened up. It was very close to closing time when we finished up my paper work on a Saturday! She could have waited until Monday and by that time someone might have picked the unit up online. She went above and beyond to make sure I could get that unit. Thanks so much Miranda!!!

They were very accommodating. When we got there and saw. The the size I originally asked for would not be big enough, they checked and found me bigger unit. Very nice people. Although, extra space storage people, yall have way, Way too much paperwork. There has to be a way to downsize that.

They were BY FAR the most affordable units in the area we were looking at. Getting set up online was easy and the staff who called were very friendly and helpful. Well-kept facility and I like that our unit is indoors.

I won an auction on a unit (need to be cleaned out within 72 hours) and my work hours didn’t allow me to get it cleaned out within the time allowed.I called the office and Miranda was AWESOME and answered all my questions about me renting the unit for a month to allow time to remove items. I’ve bought 8 storage units on auction on line and Extra Space was by far the the best experience I’ve had! In today’s world customer service and customer satisfaction is a thing of the past for many businesses. Not so at Extra Storage in Cottage Grove, the employees there are super friendly, knew what they were talking about and very efficient!The facility is very clean, well maintained and secure! The storage manager, Miranda was so helpful! When I was first searching for public storage in my area this popped up so I decided to give the website a view. Prices were very reasonable. I noticed I was able to take care of the whole process online without even having to go in, so I signed up, and had my access code and unit number within minutes. When I arrived they had contactless procedures available and my unit was ready for use with a complimentary lock and key. The storage facility is very clean, well-lit, and comfortable. Im very pleased with this facility and feel confidence in storing my things here. I will definitely be recommending this location to anyone looking for Storage Solutions!

UPDATE: The check out process was even easier than the check-in!!! The entire experience was 5 star service and didn’t run into a single issue!The process of getting the locker was extremely smooth and after shopping around with other companies, can confidently say the care and engagement of the team is unmatched. The storage unit is spotless, feels like i’m the first one using it and when the team walked me back to look at it and lock it up, they called out the need for ice melt because of some of the build up and that was all taken care of before I returned to store items for the first time. Highly recommend for anyone needing storage short term or long as the rental is month to month, which is another huge bonus!

My first time using a storage unit, and it went very smoothly. I did it all online received my email with the gate code and a map to my unit. Brand new lock and key waiting inside the unit which also was surprisingly clean.

I did online rapid rental and was in my rental until within an hour. Seemless transaction, received texts and emails with all the info that I needed. Rental space was clean and well lit. This is for the location in Cottage Grove, MN. I rented the unit online. Within a short amount of time after clicking the final button, I had a phone call from Steven to welcome me to Extra Space Storage. He let me know what to expect and that I would find a welcome packet and the lock in the unit. Asked me to come within 24 hours. I told him we would be there that evening before they closed. We got there before they were ready. Steven had already sent me the information before we got there. Once there, the lock wasnt in the unit, but I guess we got there too quick. Called Steven and a woman (Sorry, didnt catch her name) was out with the lock within a few minutes. She explained how the door and lock worked and a little about the surroundings. She was nice and friendly. The only down side was the entry to the area. They were fixing part of their two driveways, so getting in and out with the vehicle was a little tight. Hopefully its all fixed by the time we get there with the moving truck in a couple weeks. Also, everything was well lit and the place seemed very clean, both inside and out.

Had some issues arise with the storage unit, but Miranda was nothing but supportive, and went above and beyond to rectify the issues. I wish I could give her a higher review, but she definitely deserves the high five! I would definitely recommend this facility, and if my need for storage arises, this is where my money will go!

No voicemail on main line? Is this 1990? Also, updating the description every few months by copying and pasting the old description so it registers an update? Seems pretty sketch to me. Not to mention the payment gets taken out just after midnight? Technically it is the correct day, but do it during normal business hours. I get deposits into that account that morning, but it isnt there by 12:07am. I did it that way so I could avoid needless calls. Instead, we have to play phone tag because I work during the day and you have no voicemail. One last thing, clicking on my account in their emails to me a is a broken link.The facility is fine, but getting something straightened out that should have never been an issue to start with is incredibly frustrating.

This place is a great storage they have both in door storages and out door so you can chose, only bad thing is you can not get I to your unit after 10pm there are closed .

Sign up was very detailed, and cannot be done on a cell phone, but otherwise, very easy to do. Took very little time and once done, an email was promptly sent advising all needed information to accessing my storage unit.I have to say that it is very difficult to pull the cart in through the doorway. There is a large lip between the door threshold and the ground. Once the cart is loaded it is VERY difficult to lift it up and over the threshold.Something management might want to look into?

The overall building feels clean, and has several indoor loading docks, as well as trolly carts to help load and unload stuff into the building.Originally I had signed up for a larger unit, but after seeing the space, I realized it was too much room for what I wanted to store there. Leila made the switching process of switching as easy as walking over to a smaller unit.Great customer service. My experience was totally contactless and everyone I dealt with was great!! I did my reservation and paid for my unit over the phone. I also paid for a lock over the phone; the manager said he would leave it in my unit for me, and he did just that. I was emailed my gate code and detailed instructions on how to access my storage unit. I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED!!!!!

Prices are reasonable and customer service was superb. I was hoping to be in and out within 30 minutes since I already knew the size of the unit that I wanted. However, it took an hour because their system was very slow... I wasnt pleased about that since I was on a schedule and had already informed them ahead of time. Nick was very professional about it and did his best to accommodate, which is greatly appreciated. Over all, I would recommend.

We are super pleased with Extra Space Storage. From the start, working with Paige, she made the process smooth and within a short amount of time we were able to store our goods safely and securely. Retiring from the military can be a bumpy ride to the forever home and just knowing that our household goods are safe during this transition gives us one less thing to worry about. The kicker is that I used to make cotton candy, hot dogs & nachos, and pass out roller skates at the same location! I love walking through there once again! Thank you! :-)

Hasnt even been 24hrs since I signed a lease to this place and talked to the manager Miranda Spencer and I already hate the place. Didnt offer or tell me about the 1st month fee deal when I asked (would have saved me roughly $90) then proceeded to say there is nothing she can do to help me with this situation when I called her back the next day. I attempted to message a screen shot of the deal I saw online that she claimed to not have and I received no response.

Needed a storage unit for more space. Went in and talked with Walker. He was great. Extremely friendly and more than happy to help. He answered all of our questions and made things very clear and easy for us. Highly recommend this location and working with Walker.

Extra Space Storage has been my go to storage place for the past two years! With incredible customer service paying attention to every detail. With its impressive list of security measures of its facility, including units with individual alarm systems and electric gates with coded access.Not too mention provides regularly scheduled pest control, which is not normally guaranteed by many other companies. Was super helpful keeping my 2 bedroom items safe and pest free! ExtraSpace offers all the traditional unit sizes from 5x5 to 10x30, with vehicle storage available outdoors and in enclosed areas.ExtraSpace also guarantees an on-site resident manager in their many locations, providing extra security and peace of mind for customers who run into issues with their units.Even better during my move out Walker the on site manager was able to check me out with an in person verbal move out date versus extended notice like other facilities. Thank you again ExtraSpace for keeping my belongings secure.

I had an experience here that was above and beyond expectations! I needed to secure a storage place prior to MN beginning shelter-in-place, and Extra Space Storage was able to facilitate it for me in safe, contactless way. I so appreciated the flexibility and help in the midst of unusual circumstances!

We had originally planned to rent a smaller unit but Ginny advised us to get the next size up when we described what we had to store. She was spot on in her recommendation. We rented the unit for 105 days; it was nice to have the flexibility of the extra half month . There were several flatbeds to use with a standard door and larger garage type door to accommodate larger items. The storage building was always clean and with adequate lighting (though it didnt always come on right away until I stood where the sensor saw me). We highly recommend Ginny (always friendly!) and Extra Space storage.
