Do not waste your time at this location. My fiancé made a reservation for a storage unit weeks in advance to our move. We arrived at the storage facility with our confirmation email, but no one was in sight to assist us. I understand that due to the pandemic office hours and staffing might differ, but this was just terrible customer service experience all around. We called the number they had listed and were on hold for 20+ minutes, only to be told that there was an error with our reservation and there were no storage units available for the size we had requested. After a long 22 hour drive in 2 days, hearing this information was disappointing to say the least. Luckily, the San Juan Capistrano location was able to assist us and get us set up with a storage unit with no issues.

If I could, I would give no stars. I cant get the GM or their boss to give me a call back in regards to the unsafe, defective vehicle I rented. I have been trying to get ahold of someone for a month now. I will NEVER rent from this location or company again without a satisfactory resolution. I need someone to get in touch with me IMMEDIATELY!!!! Im Tired of wasting my time calling customer service and not receiving a call back.

They falsely advertise that this location has 24-hour access, but when you show up, theyll tell you that you have to have a business license and pay extra monthly fees to get it.

This place does not have 24 hour access, rather 9-6. Don’t be fooled.

U-HAUL of Costa MesaThe Staff is Very Helpful, Courteous, and Knowledgeable about Moving, Truck/Trailers, and AccessoriesI would Definitely recommend this facility for All of your Moving needs.

They are the worst facility to ever use. I owed $450 and when I tried to pay several times I could only pay to one guy and he was not there most of the time and then said I had 30 min to come down and get my stuff or it would be auctioned. I told him I would be there after work. When I should up after work I was informed that my whole life baby keepsakes and storage was auctioned for $450....I am so mad and would never recommend anyone to this place.

Ok trucks could use better cleaning on windows

Negative 5 stars this guy is in the business of coercion through bad faithcompliance tactics, his goal it would appear is to obtain payment through direct deposit or automatic withdrawal from customer account so that he can attach so called late fees and other unwarranted charges without expressed authorization from account holder all based on a contractual agrreement that he does not honor. The leasing agreement clearly states lock out after 28 days of nonpayment. It does not say that just prior to the end of the gratuitous grace period of ten days you will be forced to talk to management to get through the gate and/or the door to the onsite bathroom. Regardless the provision of an intercom through which the U-HAUL switchboard can be contacted and they will connect you to the office 1/4 mile away if they are open and yours truly has authorized someone there handle your particular contractual anomally as in my case it was requested that i make a payment in full, which they were not able to process because it was cash. We were let in to the facility without entry privilege to the bathroom discovered after hours at which point the U-HAUL switchboard was able to accomodate me. There is no business office onsite it is a quarter mile away he lives onsite, practices discriminatory profiling of customers, favoring some over others. 24 hour access is a privilege granted only to those deemed worthy. He has issues he has yelled at me and I have witnessed him yelling at others. I have talked to his supervisor without any acknowledgement that any action towards correcting these practices would occur and to go further up the chain of command would be to talk to the president and board of trustees or whatever it is that executes the business policy that i believe is in direct violation of U-HAULS general way of doing business as i have favoref theirHe is not a good representative for U-HAUL as he is not keeping America moving

What can I say, its a storage unit. Has four walls with a door and lock. However, I must say, they have some sketchy people hanging out inside the complex basically all day. They rent a unit across from mine and that does make me a bit nervous.
