When the new owners first bought this liquor store I loved the way they redid the inside and they were very friendly. Now every time I go to the same girl is working and I always say hi and she never says anything back. After leaving the store yesterday I decided not to go anymore. When I got home with the small bottle of vodka that I purchased my husband said look at this. On the back of the bottle was a large sticker that said sample not for sale.

I’ve known this liquor store for quite some time now and let me tell you, it is awesome to see a new owner take pride in his business and give this place the remodel it deserved!Great selection of bourbons and other “high end” hard to find items. The selection is constantly growing. Such a nice thing to see a new owner staying up to date on the hot product trends!Super clean, remodeled store, Check it out!

Im not one to write many reviews but this one is deserving of a review. I had shopped this store for several years until I had to go away on business a few years ago, I came back and found out it was under new ownership. The store was totally remodeled, has a larger selection of Beers, Bourbon, Scotch, and a great Wine and Champagne selection. I asked if they can get a particular limited release scotch and within a week they called me back that they had it at the store waiting for me to pick up. The employees were so professional and very helpful, went out of there way to make sure I had any questions answered. This will be my go to liquor store from now on.

This is the worst liquor store in California. I went yesterday and was told I had to wait 5 minutes to come in because the person who was working was on break smoking a cigarette. It was 5pm. They also say they close at 10 but usually close at 9-9:30. If zero stars was an option I would’ve chose that!

Come here all the time. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Today I was helped by friendly Cassi. 😊

Back Bay Liquor is such a clean, helpful shop! All the employees are hard workers, and Jayme knows exactly what he has in his store and where its located, making my experience there always pleasant.

Live just down the street and love coming here. They have new craft beers almost every week, not to mention a huge wine selection!

*update* (1:30pm 6-27-2020)The owner after seeing that I put our experience online, is now bullying me through text message. So remember before going to and supporting a place like Back Bay Liquors, if you have a bad experience with the owner and in return warn other people by just saying what actually happened, the owner is will harass you.And there is nothing inappropriate about my review. And I have a great resume and work ethic, but how would you know when you actually in fact did not give me a chance period. You obviously thought I was a good candidate since you asked me to interview! The only reason why youre saying I am not now is because I shared our interaction with the world and in the end you looked bad! You left out in your response how I contacted you right back and said I would come at your time and that you did in fact see it. I never said you laughed at me, but that you were far to busy to keep our prior engagement because you told me you were too busy to meet with me while doing so with your employee. You are just a very UNPROFESSIONAL business owner who was rude to someone who showed in the end they wanted the job. You had a smile down to th minute you walked away from me. Now you dont because its not just you and I who know about this. Why dont you send a picture of what you texted me after you wrote this response, since you are using bullying as a harassment tactic.(10am 6-27-20)do not support this business owner! extremely unprofessional and rude! had an appointment to meet with owner and was completely disregarded! i asked if we could reschedule prior to engagmemt because i have been sick (trying to be cautious since we are in a pandemic) he told me that was fine and that he would call me to reschedule. not even 5 minutes later i called back, left voicemail, and texted him telling him that our original time was fine considering we had already had the time set up days before. (and the only reason i texted him after he did not answer for me to go with what was originally planned is because he texted me to set up the appointment from the very beginning! he didnt even try calling and asking about times that would work with me, he just gave me one!!!)i showed up 25 minutes early to walk in to find him laughing and rubbing his female employees back. i introduced myself to him for him to look me up and down and respond, im too busy to meet with you since you tried to reschedule to a different time! going on about how he never saw the text or voicemail (its 2020, smart phones tell you when the receiver has opened and read your message) and i asked him what if the time he gives doesnt work for the person other person, then what? he went onto say that if the first time doesnt work and they have to ask of reschedule before the 1st one he doesnt even give them a chance or waste his time. he asked me to step out because a different customer came in and saw what he was saying to me and he didnt want the custom to know that it was him, the owner, that was being a rude and unprofessional.dont waste your time or energy with associating with this business. how would you feel if you wer super sick, got ready, and suited up and showed up to an appointment just to get told f©k off, im too busy flirting with my employeenever again!! would give negative stars if possible! plus he over charges because of the demographic he sells to because they live in extremely wealthy area.

Great spot with an amazing beer selection. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, store is clean and looks great. Try the Hop Valley Bubble Stash here... delicious on any day!

The new owners are amazing and staff are very helpful! Owners are making great changes and have a great selections. Found a Rum (Kirk and Sweeney) that I have had difficulty locating else where! Will be back!!

New owner is really friendly and seems to know his stuff, huge change from the last time I was there. Good selection and great service with reasonable prices, I bought a fancy tequila on his recommendation, it was still under $40 and my friends and I loved it. I’ll definitely be back.
