I wanted to update my shaving products and went to this location and I’m so happy that I did! The sales rep was extremely helpful and helped me find exactly the products I was looking for. Will definitely be back!

I understand that the majority of people writing a review is when its negative. I am extremely understanding when it comes to retail sales reps, since I have worked retail before and now own my own business. By far, this store has been the worst and I felt it was necessary that this issue should be resolved for the good of the company.The products of The Art of Shaving are amazing, but unfortunately a products value goes down since the customer service at this store is terrible in person and especially over the phone. In person, they are so judgmental even if u do not look the part. It was hard to even get someone to help me buy the right product at such a small environment, maybe I should have dressed better.Their reps need to have better training on how to talk to customers on the phone without being rude. I suggest that no one should subscribe to their subscription/membership program because once your in, they cannot cancel your account. Your credit card information and address will be in their system forever.Overall, it is truly disappointing because I love the products, but I couldnt even find decent customer service, and I am not even asking for amazing.

I have always had a good experience buying products from art of shaving and going to the barber at the one in Vegas.It was my birthday and I had been growing a beard for awhile and needed to give it a good shape. My family paid for me to go to the art of shaving in Costa Mesa to get my beard shaped and trimmed. The barber Santiago was so rude and made feel uncomfortable. He kept asking question then ridiculed me and kept telling me how I am wrong or know nothing or I didnt use the terms he liked. If I wanted to have someone be douche to me I would go to work. This guy was an ass most of session. I would have to be super desperate to go back to him.The people in the shop are great though highly reccomend them but Santiago killed the fun of going to barber for me.

I have a full face beard and at one time grew it out to nearly a foot long. I have used MANY beard products in my time. My beard can be unruly but I have found a good combination of products that work but am always open to whatever may help with more control and flyaways. I came into this store just out of curiosity and found the staff to be rude and condescending. I explained to the guy with the stone serious face that I was wondering what they had that would help with control and explained my beard can be a little wild and he gave me this weird serious look and said Well, youre a wild guy. What? Then a woman clerk starts explaining beard care to me and I told her I already understand all that...moisturizing...conditioning...brush/comb...and she starts grabbing products and lecturing me. She wanted me to sit down and try what she had and I told her I dont want to do that, but she keeps up totally ignoring everything Im telling her. She pulls out a brush. I tell her I know about the beard brushes and they didnt really work for my issue of control and the responds No, it does work. Excuse me?!?! She has never had a beard and shes condescendingly contradicting the guy with a beard. The stone face guy is watching the whole thing. He does manage to say one sensible thing...that hair control product usually used for your head might work for the flyaways but then doesnt actually show me anything he has. He wants to stare rather than help. Im really uncomfortable and shes still trying to tell me to sit down and theyll put stuff on my beard. No, I dont want that. I just want to see products such as balms that may have stronger control. After telling her 3 times shes got the jar of some stuff and the brush at the ready and keeps getting closer. Im totally pissed off and frustrated and tell her Im not doing that and got out of the place as quick as possible. The behavior of both of them was weird, condescending and a disgusting example of hard sell. I am never ever going back there.

Expensive, but they provided value in the way of education on top of their products. Othe product quality also felt valuabke.

Horrible experienc 11 months of growing an epic beard. Gone down the toilet in less than an hour i told the guy to cut about an inch off and shape it showed him pictures YouTube video of what i wanted. i dont know why he kept cutting. i was in the barber chair so couldnt see anything until he said im done straighten out the chair. the guy cut my beard at an angel. it went from 10 inch long hair to inch and a half. when i confronted the barber he didnt know what to say. had to go to my original barber to get it fixed. i thought they knew what they were doing boy was i wrong. i should have know better a man who cant grow a bread has no respect for others. has not idea what having a beard is all about. dont go here. there products are good i use them every day barber services when it comes to growing a man bread they suck
