STAY FAR AWAY! Terrible customer service and they (Cameron) tried to rip us off. Our 2015 Jeep Compass broke down last night and I had it towed to this Pep Boys. Cameron in their service department called me to let me know we needed a new battery (I just purchased a brand new one yesterday) and he said we needed a new alternator (the part is $67.00), he said it would cost $950.00 for parts and labor. Im having the alternator replaced at another shop in Corona and theyre charging us $325.00 for the part, charging the battery and labor.

I am giving them three stars as an average of my visits. They have never been exceptional to receive 5 stars but have been very good to receive four stars a few times. Today would have been 2 stars. I had an appointment at 9 am but my vehicle didnt get pulled in until 10:30 am. There is just no hustle with this crew. Go to any Americas Tire and you will see hustle. They make you feel like the customers time is valuable and however long it takes is just how long it takes. I didnt want to give this Pepboys one star because Im hoping today was an exception and not the new norm. They are busy with almost every bay taken. But the same cars stay on the lifts for a while.

Pep Boys, Manny, Moe and Jacks philosophy of helping those of us with limited auto know how are long gone as finding an employee that is willing to help and provide helpful tips when they do not have a part like.... a reservoir cap for a Honda Accord. Instead they try to sell, via special order the reservoir, the cap and the hose that connects the resrvoir to the radiator. Good thing I didnt. Instead, went to a Honda dealer and for $3 dollars got an authentic Honda part for a hole lot less than the special-order price. Manny, Moe and Jack what have you done to Pep Boys?

Came in Friday to get an oil change. They told me next available appointment was Sunday at 12. I brought my car in 10 minutes before 12 and they said they would call me when its done. I will never go to this Pepboys again. I had an appointment at 10 am. Everyone in the waiting room that had been seen that had come both before and after me. At 2, I went to check on my car. It hadnt been looked at yet. AFTER 4 HOURS WITH AN APPOINTMENT. I was told there were other cars in front of mine. If they had that much backup with appointments then they shouldnt have given me a 10am appointment. They should have scheduled me for 2pm. And if walkins was the issue, they shouldnt have been put in front of appointments who had already shown up. It took another 2 hours for them to inspect and replace my brakes. I am thoroughly disappointed with my service here.

1st & LAST time taking my service here. My car broke down around 7:00pm. I had it towed to this Pep Boys and filled out a drop box slip so everything would be ready to go by the time they open the following morning at 8am. 8am - called and made sure they had everything they needed in order to start working on my car as my brother who was driving it could make his 5hour drive back home to AZ. They said itd be a 30 something dollar fee to even asses the car and they would call me within the hour to let me know what was wrong. 2 hours go bye, no call. I called them and asked what was going on and they said they had a couple questions about which light came on first last night. I said I will have my brother uber to your shop as he knows exactly what happened as I am in AZ. My brother gets there around 10:30 and he finds out they havent even started assessing the car even though when I called at 8 they said it was the next car up. I get a call at 1 telling me the air coolant hose needs replaced. 5 hours from when they said they were going to start looking at it! The part costs $166 and the labor costs $400 so tax included itll be about $500!!!! I said thats absolutely nuts and they dont take AAA or a student ID discount. I said ok fix it I dont care because at this point my brother needs to get home to AZ as he has a flight tomorrow morning. It is now 5:30 AND MY CAR IS STILL NOT DONE. My brother has sat in that waiting room ALL day. VERY POOR customer service & do not recommend them. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.

If I could give more stars I would. After breaking down in Norco on the way home from Utahβ€” this Pep Boys was the most helpful. They took a $1,500 fix down to $970 for us because of the situation we were in after calling in someone to fix it that wasn’t supposed to be in until the next week. Can’t rave enough about the manager and the staff. Couldn’t thank you enough.

This is the worse experience service for me. I took my car to get it checked and they told me it costs $89 to check but if I do service more than that then they will wave the fee. I paid over $500 for the service but they said they cant wave it because I took the car back home for a few hours already. Second problem was the rear brake light went out when I picked it up and worked before I dropped off even when they checked it, it was fine. They told me itll cost me money to fix the light. Why would I have to pay for the light when it worked before they touch my car? Worse worse Pepboy.

Horrendous service from the lady Don in the parts wholesale department very rude. Don told me my battery was not under warranty even though it was within the 3 year time frame an tried to persuade me to buy another. Ended up going to another Pep Boys where they were very helpful and were able to warranty my battery. Wouldnt recommend taking any business to this Pep Boys clearly they try to take advantage of there customers.

I went to this, particular Pep Boys because they said they had red anodized metallic spray paint which I was in need of to finish my project.I drove the half an hour trip only to find their inventory was a bit off they were out of stock, but on a happyer note I did pick up a roll of knifeless tape witch is a bear to find unless you go online and the folks there were very apologetic and with that said. I wont be heading back to this pep Boys anytime soon

Went for oil change. Made appointment online and showed up 5 minutes early. It was Fathers day so they did not appear very busy. Checked in for 11:00 appointment and counter person stated 1 oil change wa ahead of me and being finished up and I was next. As of 11:30 (35 Minutes after I arrived and a half hour after my appointment tome, my truck had not moved and the same car that was supposed to be ahead of me was still up on the racj. So it was obvious that they were not going to get to mine anytime soon. What is the point of making an appointment?? I will mot be back. I asked the counter person to return my keys and I will go to a drive through oil change center. May be $10 more but it will be done in 15 to 20 minutes start to finish. No apology or explanation from Pep Boys personell when I cancelled. They obviously do not care at all.

I went in to get a diagnostic on my car and they gave me a 1000$ in repairs from the diagnostic. Not even 500 miles later my check engine light came on. I called the manager and he told me to come in at 8am on Sunday and it did not open until 9. When I brought it back in the did another diagnostic they found almost 500$ more to fix and kept talking in circles why they did not find it last time. Plus they were trying to charge me for another diagnostic. They also said my check engine light was not on. I truly feel they unplugged my battery or something to take it off. They are very shady and I would not trust them with any car!!!

They said its too difficult to explain. Said were too busy and tried to discourage me from getting the oil change on my appt time. VERY RUDE PEOPLE. When all said and done my car ran worse then what it did before they touched it. After test driving it, I took it back and said my is not running correctly and that something was off about it. They would not even look at it! People now a days completely rely on their cars and its a shame how they did not care about how my car was not up to my standard.

Over the top bad behavior from service department and service manager has caused me to close our fleet account.My company has a fleet account, all of our trucks get serviced there, I made an appointment yesterday and received email confirmation for this morning 10-15-16 @ 11:00 AM, I went earlier to drop off the vehicle, a young man couldnt find the appointment so I showed him the email confirmation, he showed me the computer screen to show I did not have an appointment regardless of what I showed him, he was very rude consistent to show me the computer screen and in the end I told him I would go somewhere else, he stated fine see you later. As all this was transpiring while the service manager was helping another customer next to us, she looked up and looked right back down and never said a word until I was walking off, she stated to her customer its to early for this. As I was walking out the front door the young punk was yelling at me from the service desk have a nice day which I took as antagonizing me for a confrontation, I sure hope there is video footage of this. These two dont deserve to deal with the public.Last week I took another vehicle in for tires oil changes and alignment, when I got in the car to leave the oil light was still on, I questioned the mechanic and he said in a snotty way it wasnt here for an oil change, even though I showed him a receipt for $55.00 dollars, we had to end up bringing the car back another day.This Pep Boys is a real mess and needs someone to give it a tune up, and take out the trash.

There tires are a scam, they say they sell you a 70,000 mile tire in fact its just a relabeled 40.000 tire they pro rate you back a couple of bucks now you have to buy there tires again and repay for mounting, balancing and then disposal fee again.. so it a win win for them, if I had known I was getting a 40.000 tire I wouldnt have purchased them.. so dont fall for this scam!
