I love the Van Heusen Factory Outlet in Corning New York. They have wonderful sales and such good clothing. We travel from Florida to New York State regularly every year and one of the highlights of the trip is stopping at the Van Heusen store in Corning. I always end up spending more than I had planned on and so thrilled to be able to get such nice things.

My boyfriends uncles health is declining rapidly, so we went in to buy a black shirt to prepare for the inevitable funeral. The female clerk greeted me and was eager to help. It was 30 min before closing and Ive worked retail before, I knew they wanted us out quick. The male clerk there did not acknowledge me (no hello, how are you), he just said Just so you know, were closing in 30 minutes. He sounded irritated we were even in there. When I specifically mentioned its for a funeral, he didnt say anything and just walked around the store away from us. The female clerks were nice and helpful, and we were in and out within 20 minutes.Weve had issues with this male clerk before. When we went in early in the summer, he told my boyfriends dad hes not slim.This last incident was the final straw. If they werent so cheap, we would never shop there. Ill be contacting Van Heusen customer support regarding this latest incident.

We love the selection and prices at our VanHuesen outlet store. We try to support local businesses as often as we can but I have had several experiences here with the employees being less than friendly. Most recently, my son needed a new dress shirt. Not realizing that it was nearly 6pm, we opened the front door and the woman at the cash register yelled at us, across the store, over the customers in front of her, telling us that she was closing. A “Closed” sign on the door would have been helpful- and less humiliating.

Today i went into the corning ny store to help a friend pick out an outfit for his sisters funeral tomorrow. He actually approached the sales clerk with this exact matter. At first the representatives were very helpful but 10 minutes into it shopping we were several times reminded that the store was closing in 5 minutes and then 2 minutes and continually rushing us out, making the already difficult day even more overwhelming. I wanna show my appreciation for your staffs inconsiderate behavior and eagerness to vacate us in a delicate time.
