Recently just signed for a 03 Caravelle & we love the boat. It Did have a few issues at first which came to a surprise for all of us. Took a little time but we all worked out a deal & have had the all problems resolved. I will recommend Wher-Rena to others who are looking to purchase in the future. They helped explain a few basic need to knows about owning/caring for a boat since this was my first purchase. Thanks again see yall soon.

Purchased a 2007 Bayliner after a quick 20 min test drive. nice looking boat, unfortunately when we got it in the water ourselves the battery was dead so we hooked up a charger. returned in a couple of hours and found a foot of water in the bilge. Ends up the small cracks in the boot leek when the boat is not moving. Est. to repair $1500.00 Wher-rena says you test drove it its your problem. Sales person may not of known about the problem, but should have. Buyer be where.

Our experience was fine when we bought the boat but every time we need service, there are delays and communication problems. We make an appointment for service weeks in advance and expect they will start the service the day we bring the boat in but that’s rarely the case. They are short staffed and do not have a sense of urgency to get basic maintenance completed. We have one maintenance issue which has been outstanding for over 8 months.We like the Coach boat but the service is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend buying a boat from this dealer to anyone.

I had my New Bentley Pontoon’s Suzuki 140 HP outboard 20 hours service done yesterday at Wher-Rena. Hunter Junker did an excellent job with the maintenance required and was very polite and knowledgeable about the engine questions I had! I’m also very pleased with the customer service provided by Melinda Stevens. I will definitely be returning for the required service at 100 hours and will be recommending Wher-Rena to our friends.

In the process of ordering a new Coach pontoon and having the staff sell my pontoon.My wife and I have been so impressed with Barry(while at the boat show) Keith and Jeff at the marina answering so many of our questions while trying to decide on a model for us. Very informative and professional. Keith said he would be at my dock to pick up my pontoon at 10am and he was very prompt at 10am. Jeff has been very patient with all of our changes and additions.This is an absolutely professional marina with great knowledge and customer service.Cant wait to continue our journey with the new boat.You all are Amazing!ThanksEd

Yes, Barry is THE MAN. I hoped to find a boat that could handle family and still offer fun. Thinking deck boats was the only answer, we ended up with a used Sugar Sand Calais. Everything positive you hear is true. I repeat previous remarks that being realistic is important,especially with a used boat. Of course spending $$$$ comes with expectations too but the proof is in the service you get. This place cares about that. My only regret is winter is here and I wont get a chance to exercise my sea legs but I am holding on for some warm days to really check this boat out. I came to see some boats and left with a boat and a friend.

I met Barry at the front door as my wife and I entered the business. I made sure Barry knew we were taking the first real step in researching cruisers (not buying). Our goal was to just look around the boatyard and learn what we like and what we dont.Barry treated us like we were his family or special guests, even though he knew we arent from the area and that we werent buying. He spent a lot of time walking us around and giving us a world class education about the differences in cruisers and the transition into a cruiser level boat from a bowrider. Barry knows a lot about boats.We wont forget his advice and kindness and If we get the chance, we will definitely buy a boat from Barry.

We recently purchased a boat brokered through Wher-Rena. The whole process was a great and professional experience working with Jeff. Jeff took the time to understand what we were looking for, kept us alert of different boats that would be coming available and guided us through the process as first time boat buyers. On the boats we looked at, he professionally had both our interest and the sellers interest in mind to ensure each party was well represented. As we narrowed our search and finalized a boat, Jeff even accommodated us testing the boat to ensure the boat would work well with in our dock. Jeff was able to complete the sale, get the boat serviced for an additional feature we wanted added, and delivered, on probably the busiest week of the boating year. Jeff and his team have an incredible wealth of knowledge and provide great service. We will definitely service the boat and buy our next boat through Wher-Rena.

First time buyers who looked around at a few places and found that other lots and people have zero interest in selling the used boats they have on the lot. We also found that individual sellers took absolutely terrible care of their boat and could tell that in our price range we had to be careful not to buy junk.People always say that boats need more and more money because something is broken. From what I can tell after looking at many boats is that’s because people run the boats hard and spend no money on simple maintenance.So in our search we came across Barry and Wher-Rena Boatland and are so glad we did. Spend 15 minutes with Barry and he understands what you are looking for and can help narrow your search. He also has lots of great stories! Barry worked with us for over a week after we picked the boat out because we could not get insurance due to a Hurricane that hit NC. Barry went on vacation during this time and even stayed in touch with us during that time. He had Jennifer in the office handle things that he could not while he was out and she was fantastic as well. She is very kind and helpful. They even had Hunter deliver the boat for us and was very nice as well.Bottom line is this. IF you are a reasonable person and have expectations that can be met, Wher-Rena Boatland is the place for your boat related needs! Pros: Bought a 2013 Bayliner 175 Flight Series in June 2018. I was a first time buyer and had little to no clue what I wanted, just that I wanted to be on the water. Keith was our sales rep and he was very professional and pleasant to work with. Negotiating a price was easy and overall the process of getting on the water was simple. They also sell everything you need in their store to comply with state laws and to be safe/have fun on the water (even gave us 10% off with boat purchase lol)Cons: Wish they offered a warranty, I get it’s a whole sale so they can’t warranty someone else’s boat but they should figure out a way. Boat broke down within the same month, NOT at the fault of wher-Rena just MY BAD LUCK!Took a while to get paperwork and registration returned (almost 4 months). Not an issue either way.Final Thoughts, it was a great expirence and wher-Rena is highly reccomended in my opinion!

I have purchased a jet ski and a sailboat from Barry at Wher-Rena. Wonderful man. A sailing guru, fyi. He does not pressure you. He is a man of his word -- when a small issue arose on the sailboat after purchase, he immediately fixed the problem exactly as he said he would pre-purchase should the problem occur. He stayed in touch after the purchases and has helped us out over the years with a variety of boating and boat lift needs. A friendly face at a friendly local business. 5+ stars.

Called customer service (service department to ask a simple question and a woman said she could help me so I asked. She did not know so put me on hold several minutes and returned with the answer. Great.... needed another answer and asked if the person she went to for last question could talk to me for 30 seconds. She said I can help you again. I said you had to go to some one and ask so you wont know this question, can I just speak to someone who has knowledge about what I need? She said no and hung up the phone! can you believe that? I could not! I called back and a man answered and I told him what just happened and he said she said I was rude.What kind of place employees a person that takes offence to the basic question I asked? So her feelings got hurt because I said she would not know??? She didnt know the first part and this was a follow-up to that! Then she goes as fare as hanging up on you verses just at least saying can someone call you back? Anything but hanging up???? I had just sold my boat and was prepared to spend over $55,000 on a new boat from this dealer! That poor employee just cost them my business, and is an example of why you should not waiste your time with this dealer. Too many other ways and places to get service around Lake Norman! I have heard stories about how rude they could be but that was a few years ago... looks like that has not changed. So, dont think it could not bite you in the rear as well. Just take your money elsewhere and you wont give them the chance to be rude.

Jeff Junker - I got to be honest with you man. Trying to communicate with you was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had. Youre either spread too thin or your phone doesnt work in your office.Ultimately, regardless of how excited we were about purchasing a boat, we decided not to buy from this dealership simply because we did not feel we were being taken seriously and experiencing super sub-par customer service.Do you remember telling me you were going to call me this morning about the warranty on the boat and if the seller had any of the owner manuals? You never did call me about that. You did, however, call me and leave a message that You saw I called a few days back and thought maybe I was calling about some sales on Craigslist. JEFF! We have been texting for 3 days about a boat and I just came to drive the boat last night...how the hell do you not know who you are dialing?I realize youre probably burnt out but holy crap that was some of the worst and laziest customer service Ive ever seen in my life.

These people lied about the cost of the repairs - took three times as long to address the problem - I paid in CASH and then got to the lake and my 2012 boat STILL didnt work. RUN dont walk away from this place!

Had both of my keys stolen on my 330 Sea Ray over the winter. Local Sea Ray dealer was less than enthusiastic so I ventured down the road to Wher-Rena. The young lady in service was outstanding. I just took delivery of a beautiful SanPan tritoon boat today. I visited many of the boat dealers in the LKN area and the treatment and service provided by Jeff Junker and all of the staff at Wher-rena Boatland was far and away the best in the area. As a first-time boat owner, I really appreciated the honest and straightforward advice and the no pressure sales approach of everyone I dealt with. They were informative and helpful in all aspects of getting set-up with a new boat from finding the right type of boat for me, registration and helpful tips on service and on-going maintenance. Jeff spent quite a bit of time with me on the water going over the care and operation of the boat, water safety and the rules of navigation. Everyone at Wher-rena seemed very interested in developing a long-term customer relationship, rather than just a one-time sale. I would highly recommend Wher-rena Boatland and have no doubt that I will continue to deal with them in the future.

My family drove 2.5 hours to come for a test drive on a $80,000 boat. When we got there they made every excuse why they would not take us out. This is the second time we have been to this dealer in 3 year. We will never go back, I will also be contacting their supplier and letting them know that they have sales people that dont want to sell boats.
