Great experience! When my parts arrived they were packaged great! Information on the site was accurate and helpful in making sure I chose the correct parts for my cars engine. Great tutorial videos showed me exactly how to install the parts. I have tried some other big name European car part sites and they all seem to give the wrong info or package the parts like junk. No such worrys with Deutsche Auto.

Beware of hidden import fees.I have ordered many things from the U.S. and any time I have encountered import fees, the vendor has always been upfront about it and charged for it in advance. Since my item was small and light, I assumed the 28% extra I paid for “shipping and handling” would cover the shipping and handling. Not so. A month after my order came, I got hit with a surprise bill from FedEx for another 46% of my purchase price. Had I known the fees would be so high, I would have ordered it elsewhere for less. Perhaps Deutsche Auto Parts could be clearer about extra fees at the time of purchase. I guess it’s a “live and learn” moment, I hope that others can learn from it as well.

One of your guys sold me Audi A3 wagon wheels a while back and sold me 2 bent wheels. Smh guys said none of them were bent.

I purchased the Cobb SF intake for my 2018 GTI and it is AMAZING! I get so much more turbski noises which is exactly what I was looking for. It also feels like it has more power. Install was not hard, just a little tricky to get everything seated properly. I would definitely recommend buying from dap. Great customer service and communication. I will defiantly be ordering more parts from them in the future.

Worse company I ever order car products. They don’t offer any assistance with the scanner I purchased! Neither the OBDELEVEN have phone number for customer service. I returned the scanner just to get 70% back. This videos on YouTube from this company are just a scam.

If more than 5 stars were available thats what these guys would get. I emailed with an annoying question about a small part and I got an incredibly detailed response which included back and forth emails from DAP. They even called me in all the way in Canada to clear up some confusion I had. Absolutely top notch service from Daniel and the guys there. Cannot recommend them enough!!

Long overdue review, with my experience with DAP! Been a customer since Ive owned my Mk7 Golf R, absolutely the best company out there for the VW Audi brand! Their contribution to the community with DIY videos, to technical overviews of our specific models, answering countless questions from VW and Audi owners is unmatched! No other shop, offers such amazing services with such class and dedication. Ive ordered from DAP several times, and each time Im greeted with the best quality products, kept in pristine condition with their amazing 10/10 packaging work during the shipping process. If anyone has a negative review about them, you may need to take a second and reavaluate yourself, before blasting a reputable shop/company. User error is a very common thing in the tech/mechanical world, just saying folks keep your tantrums to yourself, until you can grasp some common sense. I guess the saying common sense is not so common anymore, speaks volumes here on some of these negative feedbacks. While trying to diagnose a misfire code on my 11 Tiguan I stumbled across a vid on YouTube about replacing the connectors Id splintered. Long story short I ordered replacements from Deutsche, got em delivered quickly, and had them in even quicker!Still not sure if that was the cause of the code, but its cleared up now!

Took my car to get serviced here and they fit me in quickly and ordered the parts for the maintenance. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and the experience was overwhelmingly positive. This is a great enthusiast shop. They will take care of their customers.

So... ShopDap order parts from vendors and sell them to you (95% of what they offer on their website).Nothing wrong with that, but when their vendors sleep on your order, they pretend there is nothing wrong. Had an order placed, a week goes by, 2 weeks goes by, had to call them and the answers was We dont know what is going on with the vendor.If your shop is a distributer act like one. Get a grip on your vendors. I am a customer, my job is to pay for it, your job is get it delivered it to me.

I’ve purchased from different VW parts retailers online, Shopdap so far is my best experience. I have ordered a haldex gen5 service kit. I really appreciate how you can custom order what you need from the kit and not being forced to purchase the whole kit. The best thing in this purchase is having a quick free delivery! The regular “free” delivery is almost always very slow but they have really changed this concept. The processing was almost immediate and the shipping was within 2 days. What I like most about this purchase is I know I’m supporting a Youtuber who shows you how to do services by yourself in easy clear steps. Thanks Paul and Shopdap team.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I have no clue where to start but the service i recieved from this company was absolutely horrendous. I ordered an expensive item which they claimed to have in stock which said it would ship in 1-3 days. After emailing them consistently I finally decided to call after a week, turns out their product isnt in stock for another 2 months. Then I proceed to start my refund and was told Id get the money in 2 days. After calling and calling, now 2 weeks AFTER I asked for the refund, I finally talked to someone who put my refund through. This company held my money for 3 weeks without any communication on their end. Absolutely terrible terible customer service, will never reccomend this company to anyone.

I just want to thank DAP for their exceptional customer service, friendliness, and professionalism. I was on a trip to Asheville from Raleigh with a pit stop in Huntersville. Once I got to Huntersville my newly put on endlinks failed, got loose and detached from upper bolt. John was able to get me in the one day that I was in Huntersville (same day). We talked Cars and Volkswagens and they fixed the issue for a more then reasonable price. I ordered the wrong one and contacted them via phone to replace it with the one I originally ordered. Their response time could be better, its really hard to get a hold of them by email or chat(had to call them multiple times because they werent answering my emails), but other than that they do provide good customer service. Had a part go bad that was still under warranty, they sent me a replacement and also gave me reward points to use on their site to cover the labor costs!

I ordered $300 dollars worth of parts for my car from this site. Upon ordering the estimated delivery date was pretty reasonable and i went through with the purchase. Now two weeks later i have heard nothing. I figured that it had shipped out since they already drew the $300 from my account, but surprisingly i was wrong.I only figured this out by calling them mind you. It took me three calls to finally reach someone to assist me. (busy signal the 2 others) The guy that answered basically told me there was nothing they could/would do to remedy this situation. Now, Ive worked in retail sales for the majority of my working career, and this really surprised me especially from such a highly rated retailer. He then offered to cancel the whole order and refund my money abruptly.Theres no doubt they need to work on their lines of communication. If a stupid little drain plug is holding up the entire $300 order, i think someone should definitely reach out to the customer and offer alternatives. With all of that said i will not likely be shopping here again.

Great first experience with DAP, placed an order over the weekend, received an email monday morning letting me know I OVER PAID for my product and would be receiving a refund, 5 minutes later I received my tracking number, confirmation of said refund and an email thanking me for my purchase.THEN I open my package to find multiple stickers some other swag and some AWESOME DAP Drinking glasses!!One of the best experiences with an online company.

I have been watching the videos but just made my first purchase from them. Everything arrived perfectly and the little details matter. For example, I ordered a spare tire for my Golf R from them. The tire is supposed to be inflated to 60 psi. It arrived exactly at 60 psi. Nice work.

I received the product that Ive ordered 2 weeks ago a bit late but better late than never getting the item that Ive purchased online. Reason why I give DAP 5 stars is because Paul provided me excellent customer service. Also I learned alot about modding my mk7 gti by watching DAP videos on youtube. Customer Service:My only complaint is the customer service. After receiving one of the two items I purchased, I sent in a few emails asking to clarify why I havent gotten the second item. I didnt get any response to any of my emails for days. I decided to call to find out that I had to wait another 3 weeks on top of the week it took for my one item to get here. I understand that the shipping thing is not their fault and I understand that they might be a busy company, but when someone send in multiple emails over a work week, you would expect a response. Just make sure to call.Product:I am happy with the product I got which was the Helix Golf R style headlights. The fit is spot on. The the quality of the front side of the headlight looks great. They look amazing especially when you get a glimpse of them on the butt of the car in front of you or in a store window. They do look aggressive HOWEVER, Its behind the scenes (where people wont be looking) that falls a bit short of my expectations. Screws not fitting correctly, having to drill the plastic holes bigger so the screws can pass through, black glue holding some things together, and I did have a metal clip brake on me. Also, if you need to change a bulb, you have to take the whole bumper off and headlight just to do that. Im pretty sure the OEM headlights have a rubber back you can take off and access the bulb without having to do all that, the Helixs have a plastic back that screws on.Over all, I would order from this company again.

Always a great experience working with Paul and his team. Not only do they have great prices on the parts, he is able to find the hard to find parts. I needed a OEM hood latch for my 1998. I could not find one anywhere and Paul was able to get one quick. My 2013 VW CC had a problem with the wire harness in the trunk. A little research confirmed it is a known bug.I learned of DAP and since they were only about an hour away, I decided to save $200.00 from what the VW Dealer demanded to replace/install the wire harness. To my surprise, DAP fixed it quickly and for a fair fee.Somehow, less than a year later, the problem returned. Apparently the wire harness design for this model can be a recurring hassle. I called DAP. They set up an appointment promptly and replaced the defective harness. Even better, DAP advised me there was no charge since they guarantee their work and stand behind their quality. The best part... these are fine people with reasonable charges, their service is speedy, and their knowledge extraordinary!Delighted with Deutsche Auto Parts!

Bought an adapter harness and rear fog wire for my euro tails on my mk7 and the quality was great, instructions were easy to understand. Owner was willing to help with any questions I had along the way. Good customer service is always a nice way to earn business.

Ordered a steel oil pan with oil change kit. Ordered on 5/23. I ordered this kit because I was nearing my 10k mark for an oil change. I placed the order at about 8k thinking 2k would be enough time for the order to get to me. Two week pass and I get nothing. No emails. No nothing.I finally send them an email to which they dont reply (I waited a day). Then I call them and find out the order hasnt shipped because of a drain plug they didnt have. Apparently they sent an email out to all of the customers who ordered this kit saying that they didnt have the drain plug in stock and that they would be willing to send them the kit without the drain plug and the drain plug when they get them in. Coincidentally, I didnt get that email... They also mentioned that they would be getting the drain plug the next day or two and that I can wait if I wanted to. I told them if they cant get me the drain plug by the end of the week (I think I called them on tuesday) then just send me what they have so I can change my oil at least (I was at 9.4k).I ended up getting my pan 2 days later with the full kit. (Wow what a coincidence. They just happened to get it right on time now?). They didnt include the self locking nuts that are supposed to go on the oil level sensor studs. I called and they told me that it was because the manufacturer doesnt include them anymore. So what if they dont include them anymore? Shouldnt YOU include them?I end up installing it that weekend. The pan is leaking. I find out that its leaking from where the studs are on the oil level sensor. I send it back to DAP upon their request. They called me today saying they cant do anything for me because it was installation error. I had to fight just to get back the shipping cost to send it back to them in the first place.Moral of the story, dont try to buy from small businesses like this. They cant really do much for you because target such a niche community.Oh, I ordered the part on 5/23 and I got it in like the middle of June.

Paul and Staff are great people to deal with. Doesnt matter if you need help with an item or if you want to purchase something they are there and ready to help anytime. Also with the help of their install videos you can seamlessly install any product they offer without having to hire someone to do it. I give DAP an excellent 5 star rating for their amazing customer service and support.

1st time shopper/customer. While experiencing a minor inconvenience of receiving a part that was potentially reintroduced into DAP the supply chain after showing signs of prior installation, I shared my concern with DAP and they immediately addressed the issue by sending a replacement part free of charge and without a requirement to ship back the prior part. No ordering system, merchant, or human, especially a vendor that has a supply chain dependency, is perfect. While this was a low cost part that caused more of a time inconvenience to me than anything else, the no questions asked or no additional hassle to me and immediate response to my concern is what establishes trust for future parts needs. Looking forward to future purchases, perhaps some fast bits/tunes. Thank you.
