Ups delivery guy was starting to leave as i got out of the shower and i chased him down calling for him but he just drove away when he knew i was coming after him. Terrible service
Im giving this location two stars to be fair because I have shipped Ground with them several times with no issues. This time I told the agent that I needed an envelope delivered by Wednesday morning and gave explicit reasons. The agent never told me that 2Day Air was not guaranteed (even though they knew that this was a vital issue of importance) or suggest that I use Next Day Air to guarantee my delivery. Of course the package was delayed. When I called the location for help, no one answered so I went in. The person who was working seemed to be sick so I initially probed about the way 2Day Air worked and then explained my situation. I think when she realized that my son might lose his job because of their error, she just began regurgitating, well 2 Day Air is not guaranteed, it was on the form you signed, and you need to track down the driver or go to the distribution center to find out what happened after it left us, we are not UPS, we are just an independent retailer, you have to talk to the distribution center, etc., etc. Ill also add that the second star is to thank the agent who works at this location for sending me to the distribution center. There, the workers were extremely helpful and I can now do business directly with UPS instead of just an independent retailer.
Only used it to return Amazon items. So far the service was fast and had no issues.
Nice group of people. Got in and out in a minimal amount of time. Will go back.
I was shipping something to China, they said they dont ship anything to China, I asked why, they said due to political reasons.The fact is that UPS is too busy to take international shipment.Be educated.If you dont know, just tell customer you dont know.Dont show off your intelligence please.
I moved across town and put the wrong city/zip on the shipping address for an item. Thought for sure the item would be returned to sender and be a big ordeal. Instead, the local branch manager called me to clarify if the city/zip was correct or if the street address was the correct location. What a great surprise to still receive my package on time after my own mess up. Thank you!
Highly recommend AGAINST using this store! Never answer the phone, and the owner even had the nerve to say, via email while on vacation, call after 6:00 (they are only open until 7pm) because theyre so busy during the day. If youre going to run a business you need to answer the phone. Called 5 times in a row today with an urgent matter, and the 5th time got a message that the phone had been disconnected. Unbelievable!
I ordered a present for my boyfriend who works long hours because he has 2 essential worker jobs and I knew he wouldnt be home until after dark. I requested it be placed on the front roofed but open side porch but the driver decided to go past that and put it by the back door with no cover. The package was blown away from the door and thankfully into a fence or it would have been in a newly planted corn field. When we finally found it it was soaked from the rain! Thankfully the supplier had it in plastic inside the delivery envelope so it wasnt ruined. It is obvious they dont care about a customers package or they would have saved several steps and placed on the porch as request.
Everytime Ive stopped at this store they have been closed during posted open hours. A bit ridiculous that you cant trust the hours on google or the ones posted on their store window.
Hours are 8:00-7:00. Stopped by with my package at 9:00. The store was closed with no sign or note on the door and no explanation on their phone message. I left a message stating my situation. I had a time and temperature sensitive package to drop off on my way to work. The manager did call back saying he had a medical issue and was going to be late to work. I asked if he had a backup person and he said no. I appreciate him calling back but what is going on UPS? With this kind of a rating someone should be addressing all the complaints. I won’t go back to the Coralville store. I’ve had great experiences at both the Iowa City UPS and Mailboxes in Iowa City.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always go above and beyond to help me anyway possible. Yes they dont answer the phone because usually there is only one person at the store at a time and that associate isnt sitting around waiting for the phone to ring, they are probably taking care of customers when people call in but they are quick to get back to you as soon as they can and I found out emailing them my question is the best way to get a hold of them. Chuck is the owner and he is amazing. He will go above and beyond to help any customers out and it follows down to his staff. Yes you will wait a little bit longer as he only staffs the store one person per shift, because of business reason of which you have to be in that type of business to understand. However here is a tip: there are ways that you can avoid the line and you can do that by either having the shipping label printed off and ready to go and just drop it off and leave or by making sure you have all of your information correct and ready to go for the associate. I have noticed that 90% of the time I have gone in there the past year, there has been a line is that one everyone comes in at the same time. Two customers dont have a preprinted label and the associate has to take the time to measure the box, weigh it, type in the address, print out the paperwork for the customer to sign and you get several of those back to back of course its going to back up the line. Third is that customers dont have the correct address or dont know the address so they have to find that information out. Lastly I have seen a line because of a customers wanting to notarize items instead of going to the bank, and well if there is only one associate in the store yes that is going to quickly back up the line as that takes time. So before people go writing bad reviews consider the situation and the fact that different situations take time and that this store do to many reasons only staffs one person at a time and occasionally chuck will be in there to help out when he isnt at his other business.So if you want quick service best bet is to pay and print your label at home walk in drop it off and go on with your business. I have done this many times over the years and i only have to spend one minute in the store compared to others who have to wait several minutes for a customer who chose to do it the long way. Anyways, I would highly recommend for packaging and shipping as I have used them for over a year now and never had a problem with them
Walked in ( with a huge rug for return), i got up to the counter and realized i had left my purse at my daughters daycare. I had no cash, no return slip, nothing. The great guy behind the counter helped me print a slip and get me out the door along with helping several other people that came in, he even wished me luck finding my purse. amazing service
Just had a wonderful experience at this store shipping my package. I am from out of town and had my pre-paid label and a letter for the package saved to my phone, not printed off. I was able to use their computer to print off the letter and label. The whole process took 5 minutes tops. The two ladies at the counter were very efficient, friendly and helpful.
I have had multiple problems with this location. Multille screw ups on entering addresses on shipping labels and the final kicker was getting hung up on multiple times in a row. Had a simple question about their notary that would have saved me a trip there. Now they have saved me permanently from ever using this location. Use at your own risk.

Great customer service. Even held the door for me. Friendly and professional. What a wild dichotomy of comments! He even noticed that i had a AAA card in my wallet which gave me a tiny discount i wasnt aware of! Very nice. Glad i didnt get the other employees!!! :+)

Generally speaking its a very helpful store. Its a little pricey but thats the price one pays for convenience. The only thing I dont understand about this location is why do the people working the register pronounce the facsimile button on the register facey - smile?
Ive used this store quite a few times, but based on other reviews here, Ive obviously never encountered the owner. Admittedly, I only use the store for drop-offs, with pre-labeled packages, but the folks behind the counter have always been pleasant and helpful while printing my receipts. Ive never encountered any of the behavior described in the other reviews, so Ill keep using it and just keep my fingers crossed.
I have never had a bad experience at this UPS store. Each employee Ive encountered is very friendly and cordial, professional. My packages get shipped and arrive at their destination.
The manager of the company doesn’t care about his customers. A newer employee messed up the insurance on the package and like a typical UPS package, it got damaged. Lost over $500 because this business wouldn’t own up to their own mistakes.
I cant say I had a bad experience because everytime I go up to the store its closed.. yesterday it was a late lunch and today IDK why no one is there but I wont try to mail anything at this location again.

Terrible customer service. There was one person behind the counter who was overwhelmed and unfriendly. That is not my fault and I should not have to deal with this. On top of that my package was delivered per the tracking website but my family never received it. I am now trying to follow up and they are not even picking up their phone. Very disappointed at this point.

Dont ever ship anything of value from this store! This UPS Store will not cover any damaged item whether you pack it or if they pack it, even when the store owner or employees say its guarenteed. Shipping isurance is joke!I spoke to the store owner...rude, ddint care and will not tell you the full story. Worst customer service you could imagine.
I use ups stores all over the country to mail my paperwork out for work....this is the very first one I have EVER been to that tried to charge me for mailing my stuff out even though its an account plus they charge u for using their boxes cause they have no ups boxes
Opening on time is not a priority at this store.
