Our situation is a difficult one. Our location is rural and we have had many cell phone signal troubles in the last year. Diante worked with us from the Dixon IL location earlier this year. When I reached out to him at 7pm one evening to review our current situation, he responded quickly and assisted us. Even though he is out of a different location he provided the best customer service. Thank you Diante!

I drove 35 miles to upgrade my phone. The website and store door said they were open until 7PM. I got there at 3PM and they were closed. Called customer service. They said they could be at lunch. AT 3:30? This was in Coralville Iowa location. There were 4 other customers waiting. One was waiting for curbside pickup. Very disappointed. Im thinking about changing phone companies.

I reserved an appointment time at the store, as advised during COVID. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I checked in on the app and received a notification that I was next and would be contacted shortly. After waiting for 30 minutes in my car and trying to communicate with Verizon via phone and chat, I realized the store was closed and no one was inside. I am angry that I wasted time and gas for no reason. It always feels like Verizon customer service is only helpful when I am upgrading my phone.

On Saturday June 13th I was here to start a new account after my identity was recently stolen. It was quite the process however the gentleman I had helping me was awesome. He went through a lot to help me. Every employee on this day was excellent and I ended up meeting all of them. Verizon, this is a individual contributing to your overall success. I was in an incredibly stressful and confusing situation regarding my Verizon account, and the employees here were so kind, helpful, and understanding with everything. They walked me through everything they could and answered every question they could. Homey especially saw me every day I was there and helped me so much. Everyone that knew the situation was confused too but did everything they absolutely could to make sure my phone was up and running again. Love these guys!!

Would recommend.Store had a great selection of cell phones and accessories.Came in on a somewhat slow day and was immediately greeted. Looked around and wasnt harassed too many times by salespeople. Made my selection and was promptly set up with a new phone. He even helped me get through the set up menus on the new phone.

Bruce and Levi did a great job in helping me determine if it was time to trade up to a new phone. Very knowledgeable staff. System at the front automatically assigns staff to help you with your questions. Very well organized. Only caveat would be that if you just want to go in to buy an accessory or ask a quick question, the employees are usually focused on being attentive to the guest they are assigned, so youll still have to wait in queue in order to do little stuff, so if youre in a hurry, Id suggest coming in when theyre not too busy.

Horrible customer service.. Id give them 0 stars if available. They did not help my senior mother with her new phone. They told her she could keep old phone number and they didnt transfer her numbers. She went back today and had to get a new phone that they still didnt help her with and she couldnt keep old phone number, and told her to come back tomorrow and pay them $50 dollars to return her original phone they didnt help her with in the first place. And dont try calling them either, they dont pick up

1st of all, this isnt a real Verizon store so any real issue you have, they cant solve it for you. Dont waste your time and go else where.2nd, the staff unfriendly and rude. He first kept telling me I was wrong, and I even told him that I did my own diagnosis and its not working and I can prove it to him. He then stayed silent as he fumbled around trying to diagnosis himself and in the end, he did what I told him we should do so I can prove it doesnt work, and told me call this number for help because I cant do anything for you here because were just licensed third party store. Why not tell me that from the beginning instead of wasting my time and patience.

I had a bad experience here. My Verizon rep was not being up-front or honest about what i was being charged for when i upgraded my phone. He tried to add-on $160 worth of accessories in a dishonest way saying that this was the cost of the upgrade and that i was getting the accessories for free. it is only because i was persistant enough that he eventually told me that if i took off the accessories my check-out price would be x and it turns out that X was ALOT less expensive than my price to upgrade your phone today

I had to go to this Verizon store because all the stores in cedar rapids are closed. I talked to the national salespeople and they set it up so I could pick up a phone in coralville today. That part was great. Store in coralville was supposed to email me and let me know when my phone was ready to pick up. I was told it would be an hour. Two and a half hours later no one at the coralville store answers their phone so I had to call the corporate number again and they couldnt get ahold of anybody at the store. I drove down there and walk in and they have not even started to prepare my phone. 20 minutes later I got my phone without any accessories because they are not selling any of that right now. I went to Target and got all the accessories I needed and found out I could have done everything in that store. Could have skipped Verizon completely. Just another example of how verizon does not care about their customers.

The DMV has shorter wait times. I came in on a Monday evening. I already knew which phone I wanted, all the customer service rep would have to do is call our marketing director to authorize the phone upgrade. I had to wait 40 minutes to be seen, meanwhile dinner was getting cold. I understand the desire for personalized customer service, but that shouldnt involve hovering over a customer while they ponder their phone choices in perpetual indecision, while there are several other customers waiting to be seen.

Be careful transferring pics/texts...A couple of their tenured reps have been known to show them to the general manager so they can view and gain crude comments and laughs!!!! Also have reps there that slam accounts, adding insurance without customer knowledge!!!! This is the worst run store I personally have been in, and suggest other options if at all possible

Absolutely terrible customer service. Was in the store for over 3 hours between 2 days for a simple transfer of service for 2 current verizon customers from 2 plans to one plan. Basically was asking them to transfer service, get the same features, but I would be paying more. Several people were rude to me on the phone. Verizon workers greet their guests, say its a 30 min wait, then walk around the store or go hide in back. Manager, Matt is the best at doing that. Watched several customers walk in and stand with no help for 30-40 minutes each. ALSO - DO NOT ever try to call the store. They do not answer the phones, even if they are not busy. I watched it happen for 2 hours one day. Will not be returning.

They dont know anything about how a phone works. They just want to sell you a new phone. I went there because my screen was not working. The verizon guy looked at it like was a hot potato and he did not want to deal with this issue, AFTER I WAITED AN HOUR. He had no idea and had no clue what was wrong. Just said my phone was locked up and I needed a new one that would cost about $1200. I say no and left went next door to CPR Cell Phone Repair. I dropped off my phone and picked it up the next day. They fixed it for $99 with a new screen. Thank you CPR Cell Phone Repair for saving me over a $1000.

Best Verizon store Ive used. They are ready for you. I cant imagine the bad ratings, unless the store was just overrun with customers and they decided to ignore the sign in touch screens at the front of the store (the ones you need to walk around to enter the store!). These guys have it down, Ill go there over calling Verizon any day, and I choose to drive across town to see them instead of Iowa City/Eastside stores. Great job!

The main problem is that they have no cashiers. If you know what you want to buy and dont need any help, you still have to wait for 20-30 minutes for a Verizon agent to be available. They check you in when you arrive and then help people in the order they arrived. (If you have an appointment, then you get the next available agent after your scheduled time). I wanted a Pixel 3a, and although the agent argued that I needed the 3 (which is higher tech but more expensive, and for my needs the higher processing speed isnt noticable) but once I qouted the specs and showed I knew what I wanted he immediately got the phone and processed the sale.

A dishonest salesperson (non-Caucasian non-Asian non-black) and a protective female manager (or fake manager) at this store (Verizon in Coralville Iowa). Went to this store on 5/31 wanting to quickly pay for (in full) and take home a new Samsung phone, and intending to activate it at home with an old phone that is currently on my Verizon plan (keep the same line, just to swap the phones). Before I gave the credit card to the salesperson I asked its only the phone plus tax, he hesitated slightly but said yes. I didnt expect him to lie to me and just signed. He checked the email receipt only option on the transaction screen, but I asked him to print me a paper receipt as well. The paper receipt shows an Upgrade Fee of $40. I immediately challenged him the fee was not disclosed to me and I wanted him to void the transaction and give me a full refund. He said this would be a return and I would have to pay a $50 restocking fee, despite that the transaction was completed based on his (surely) purposeful concealment of the add-on upgrade fee and that the box wasnt even touched with original seal intact. He claimed that everyone pays that fee; but regardless, he didnt disclose it to me and in fact tried to conceal it from me when I specifically asked prior to the payment; so of course I expect a full refund when I discovered the add-on fee on the paper receipt on the spot. I also told him I never paid such a fee before, including two iPhone Xs I activated in January on two other lines on my Verizon plan - a fact that Verizon can easily verify and hence was undisputable. Still he refused to make a full refund. I asked for manager and he got a lady come over. I repeated the whole story and she just repeated the salesperson answer that I would have to pay the restocking fee, despite of the salespersons failure to disclose the upgrade fee prior to the transaction, and she said there was nothing she could do (which makes me doubt if she really was the manager, as a manager would have the authority to void a credit card transaction altogether before the batch is closed for the day or he/she could waive the add-on fee on the spot.)Anyway, when I came home and called Verizon customer service to get the fee refunded, I was told by the rep that she saw a note from the store on my account saying customer was informed of the upgrade fee upon purchase, and the rep claims that upon purchase means before purchase (of course the fee was disclosed AFTER the purchase as it is shown on the paper receipt, so I dont blame the rep for interpreting the note the way she did.) How dishonest and shameless are the salesperson and the manager to put in such a note. Anyway, avoid doing business at this store at all cost, because of the dishonest shameless salesperson and perhaps more importantly the manager if she really was the manager.

Weve always had a good experience here. I dont mind waiting, because when they take care of me they dont rush me, they answer all my questions. I look to see when they are least busy and try to go then. Always knowledgeable, but if they dont know the answer they go looking for the answer.

Generally unhelpful. Manager was overall rude and attempted to add 150 dollars to our bill out the door for an accessories package we didnt want or need. Didnt offer the package or explain it to us just told us the price and then when asked about the extra fees backtracked and only said it was an option when pressed. Was trying to upgrade a phone and was ready to spend 500 dollars in store but ended up leaving after 2 hours with nothing.

He couldnt apply a screen protector properly so it messed with my note9 ! If he ever trys to help me again Im asking for someone else! And I cant get my money back for the Fd up screen protector! Even when they are swamped, they make sure I am satisfied with my account before I leave. I have yet to have a bad experience at the Coralville store. Part of our sign on deal was $150 gift card each. The employee that helped us sign up did not mention we had to fill out a form online to get the gift cards and she said they would just be mailed. Come to find out we are getting screwed out of the gift cards all because an incompetent employee did not inform us. We have spent a total of four hours on the phone with headquarters, the store, and the rebate center each one blaming another department and saying we need to reach out to them. We are tired of being dragged around and would recommend not going through Verizon.

In a world of scammers and fraudsters Verizon and their Coralville team are clear representation of unethical, unhelpful and at times illegal customer service and provider. First really bad experience was couple of months ago when my brother in law went in for a new phone. We all went together and were quickly approached by young male, who started the process of linking his new device and his line. Throughout the process the Verizon employee didnt say much, besides asking for the required signature, saying this is all routine and hes just confirming the new installment plan for the device. Quick and easy we were out of the store and before pulling out of the strip mall we received an email saying thank you for signing up for Verizon protection plan This is something that was not communicated to us what so ever. We walk back inside to tell the individual helping us this isnt anything we asked for or gave consent. His excuse was oh that might have been by mistake We called Verizon the moment we walked out of the store again just to find out not only he didnt cancel it as we said but he signed us up for services adding to $29/mo that we didnt ask for.Just today I had to go to the store as well to try and fix an issue with my phone. Same individual was the one greeting us and asking what we were there for. As I stated explaining, without even asking to see my phone or perform any type of troubleshooting he started selling me a protection plan... I immediately walked out, called my manifacturer and resolved the problem with them.I wish I could tell you not to visit this store, but I realize that you dont have any other options in this area, which seems to be the reason this store and their management think they are a monopoly. Trust, me if you can avoid them, do so. Be mighty with everything they try to sell you, check all items on your bill .On top of this whole experience, even after calling corporate and complaining about the unethical treatment they promised a call from the store manager, which we never received.

I left Verizon for AT&T because the price was just a bit less expensive and I thought the coverage would be about the same. Boy was I wrong!!! I had to use my girlfriend’s Verizon WiFi in Washington, Iowa because there was zero coverage for multimedia messages and Internet! It is impossible to run a business this way so I switched back to Verizon! I’m truly sorry that I ever left because I wasted at least two days worth of dealing with AT&T!

This location has moved near Pizza hut in Coralville. The sales person I worked with was not helpful and I kept receiving inconsistent information between employees. The employee did not know what a processor was in the phone and told me that the pixel 2 xl is much faster than the pixel 2 and that the cameras are different. In fact they have the same processor and camera. They did not want to look up the promotional prices for me with my trade in until I decided on a phone to purchase. The employee kept telling me incorrect prices compared to the website, it took a second employees help to confirm that I was correct about the price. They also enrolled me in a decive protection plan with out asking my permission which would have cost almost the same price as my phone person month. I felt rushed at this location even though it wasnt busy and many employees were standing around as well as treated poorly by the employees.

The representative that took care of us was actually very helpful. But the manager who was checking people in & standing in the background 90% of the time doing nothing, was UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional & exhibited absolute & utter disrespect to the all the customers! She actually stated all these customers are hot messes!! And stated that because my husband was standing at a certain angle he made her scratch up against the wall. First off, if you need someone to move the word would be EXCUSE ME--not to say some some rude comment. The whole experience was ruined by the manager who obviously wasnt taught any social skills as a child. Just a side note verizon might want to teach their employees---either do your job to the best of your abilities(100%) or dont work there!
