Some workers have attitude and my issue didnt even get resolved after they took my laptop in for a week to repair it. I had just bought it from them and within a week it was showing weird signs (not charging properly, screen randomly blacking out, etc.. stuff you dont wanna see). It was fine at first when I got it back but within weeks it started again. At one point the screen blacked out and a neon pink line appeared across part of the screen.I ignored it, and then weeks later accidentally cracked my screen. I went to Computer Village assuming automatically that theyd be cheaper than Apple and I knew this wouldnt be under warranty. They told me itd be ~$650 --- over half the cost of a brand new one! The employee said well we gotta pay our workers and stuff, which I understood, and he actually suggested that I reach out to Apple to see how much theyd be but that he wouldnt risk waiting who knows, even months for them to repair and return my Mac. Apple quoted me $428 over the phone, but school was just starting and I was debating just giving it to CV since being without my computer for that long during the first weeks wouldnt be worth the $222 difference. THANK GOD I DIDNT. Maybe I got super lucky, but when I went to Apple, the employee helping me said shed enter it into the system as covered by warranty, though she was sure to tell me that it was a longshot. Somehow, when I went to pick up my laptop 6 days later, they didnt charge me a penny!! Even though it was completely my fault!Lesson: see if Apple is cheaper first!

I spoke with a repairman at length 2 days ago and explained that I need my Mac Pro 2019 looked at. After 2 hours online with Apple they thought it was a hardware problem. This morning I brought my computer to Computer Village. They argued with me that no one would have given me the information that I received but eventually said that he was a new guy and gave me wrong info. After agreeing to leave the computer for 2 weeks they changed their mind and said they didn’t want to repair my computer. I’ve been a customer there for many years but not anymore!!! Beware of the information they give you……

I had major computer issues. I had a bad experience with a tech at the Apple genius store. Not only did they not service my unit but said I had used some cheap after market parts. Totally nuts and made zero sense. The man bun should have been a warning. A year later during the pandemic my keyboard recall warrantee was about to expire. Apple was closed to it sent me to computer village which had been around for 45 years or more. I went in and they followed masking and social distancing. Jose at the service center was great. He said not to worry that I would likely have zero issues with a free service but was concerned I didnt have a recent backup. He sent me off to make one and said just come in when its dont, no appoint necessary. Since this was just a keyboard service I thought he was just being overly cautious. I came back in the following Monday afternoon. I was told 3 weeks but 3 days later my laptop was ready. I was notified by phone and email! Nice. I came back for pickup and was told the keyboard, battery AND LOGIC board were replaced! That means I had a new drive. Good thing Jose made me get that recent backup! The experience was painless! It was 5min to stop my laptop off (no line) and 1 min to pick it up. Kudos to Computer Village for getting it right!!

I have never been treated so poorly. The gentleman (to the immediate right when you walk in) spoke very disrespectfully to me . He wanted to charge me a $150 fee, yet my MacBook was under warranty. He then proceeded to ask me if there was a reason I didnt want to pay the $150. Yes, there is a reason. Its under warranty and wont power on. Why would I pay anything for a repair on a laptop thats under warranty? This individual does not need to work with the public. Shameful.Update: I went directly to Apple after leaving this store. They shipped my laptop in for repair. I received it back today, $0 charge, they replaced several pieces, and its repaired!

This place saved my life (and bank account). My computer broke as Im studying or the Bar exam and when. Literally only one key fell off, but when I took it to Apple they told me it would cost HUNDREDS (HUNDREEEEDS) of dollars to fix it. I am a broke recent law school grad, I dont have hundreds of dollars to fix one key on my keyboard. I left the store in tears, and they offered NO options.WELLLLL later that day I took my computer to Computer Village because theres no way I could study and take the Bar without a working computer. They were so kind, attentive, and really tried to do the best they could to fix my problem. They told me they would try to get Apple to fix the computer under warranty (even though I was out of warranty) because there had been a recall on the keyboard. Went to pick my computer up today.... AND IT WAS FIXED FOR FREE. They are so honest and truly care about their customers, unlike the Genius Bar at Apple who damn well knew that there had been a recall on the keyboard but refused to let me know that, in the hopes of making upwards of $500 over ONE MISSING KEY.Long story short, the people who work at Computer Village are knowledgable, intelligent, and HONEST. I will never go anywhere else for computer issues.

I feel ripped off! My Apple MAC was having problems so I googled Apple Stores by my house in order to get my Mac repaired. This Village store popped up near me so I made an appointment. When I arrived I knew right away that it was not an Apple store. When I walked in there was maybe 1 other customer there. The person at the front has zero customer service skills. I explained what was wrong with the computer and he wrote it all down and told me that I needed to pay 79 dollars for the diagnostic. I asked him if I took the lap top to a real Apple store would they charge me for a diagnostic and he said that he didn’t know. YEA RIGHT! Since time was of the essence I reluctantly left the laptop with this guy who seemed to just want me to drop off the laptop and leave. Every question that I asked him seemed to be bothering him. I left the store with a bad feeling.Well 2 days later I got a call from them. When I spoke to the tech he told me that the repair was gonna cost me 700 dollars and asked if I wanted him to repair it. I asked him if in his expert opinion he thought it would be a good deal to repair it or just buy another. He actually did tell me that buying a new one was probably a better option, which I appreciated. I then asked him not to fix it. Then he asked me if I wanted to back up my pictures and told me that it would cost me 170 dollars to do that. I told him that price was ridiculous and he actually agreed with me. He then Compared it to a car mechanic saying that since he doesn’t know about cars he has to pay whatever they say. Once they have you on the hook for the 75 dollars then u are at their mercy. My biggest problem is that I googled Apple Stores near me and this rip off store came up. After the fact I called Apple and asked them if they charge for a diagnostic and they told me that they normally do not. Do yourselves a favor and STAY AWAY from this store!

I visited Cimputer Village yesterday after receiving a text message stating I could bring in my phone for service any time before 5pm. When we walked up to the counter we were with out hesitation dismissed by Mike (No last name) because according to him, he did NOT have to give me his last name. Didn’t bother to say ”Hello, how may I help” or anything. Just, “Do you have an appointment?” The minute I tried to explain that I wasn’t given a specific time from one of his co-workers. He just said “I can’t help you if you don’t have an appointment”. He didn’t want to hear what I had to say. Then he proceeded to stand up and raise his voice to me and my 15 year old niece in an intimidating manner because we did not do as he said and leave. There was zero customer service on his behalf. He was dismissive, condinscending and disrespectful. When we asked for his help accessing the phone. Once again he lashed out at us and said, “I don’t know what to tell you, if you don’t know how to do it than I can’t help you. The manner in which we were treated wasunacceptable in my opinion and both my niece and I felt uncomfortable after the confrontation with him. My niece was so nervous and shaken up she was scared to asked for assistance from him again. Instead we seeked help from another employee named Jose. Surprised, because you can literally buy the whole laptop again for less money, I asked the fellow to write the price down on a piece of paper and he refused to do so >:( Talk about shady! How am I supposed to trust them and give them my laptop if they refuse to write the price down on what is being agreed upon. Thats like me turning my laptop in and they could change their minds at any time about the price or find more problems, and try to make me pay $1000 or more just to get the screen replaced and hold my laptop for ransom. He told me 699 was the price of replacing all screens for all laptops, I knew he HAD to be lying or the store is overpriced because laptop screens vary in prices.
