Pat is a good dude. Not the best place if you are looking for the newest releases from a variety of mints, but he has plenty of Morgans, Barbers, Eagles, and other coins. I do always leave with something. Pat knows his stuff and is always open to a conversation about the current market and trends. You can tell he really enjoys precious metals and he might teach you a thing or two.Fair pricing compared to the inflated premiums going on today. Sold some silver once and I was very happy with his offer as well. You should definitely swing by and check it out if you are in the area.

Super nice people ! We brought in a bunch of old coins and stamps from my grandpa who just passed and we wanted to get a value on things. The gentleman there was super patient with us considering we had a mess of things and took his time to value things accurately and explained to us how it works by the book. Even though we didn’t sell anything it was overall a nice experience especially learning from such a knowledgeable man. This place is a hidden gem! Rich with history!!!

The other day i went to visit gables coin for the first time to see if they had some coins ive been looking for for quite some time. surprisingly, i was able to find most of the coins i was looking for. and everyone at the shop was so helpful and courteous, they made sure that i always had something to look at. the prices were very reasonable! i am very glad i found this shop and will continue to shop there and would recommend anyone to visit the shop when ever you get a chance.

Went into gables coin today to sell some gold, and get some prices on some coins and i was very pleased with how fast they attended me and all the information they gave me.i was also very happy with the prices they pay, most places i went to were trying to pay me less. over all i had a great experience at gables coin and i would highly recommend it. to anyone.

Bad I try to sell my old coins collection valored maybe in hundreds of dollars but only in the store want to give me 37 dollars. I keep my collection. I no come back any more to that place

Upon entering I was not greeted by a hello, but Are you spending more than $500? I was actually intending to buy 100 to 300 silver oz bars. When I was told their offer price was $2 above spot, an almost unheard of amount, I left as fast as I could.

***THIS REVIEW IS WORTH READING***I came to the shop on April 22, 2019 to get my coins and dollar bills appraised. The elderly man who attended us, was rude, ignorant, boorish, cynical and cold hearted. I came in with my PCGS graded Sacagawea dollar in very good condition and the man said, You bought this from me already, this is a piece of junk! When I really bought it in Las Vegas, Nevada at a certified coin shop where they shot a famous television show also known as the Pawn Stars. I also came in with my other coins and dollar bills which were in impeccable condition and not a crease in the paper. I would also like to add that they should lower the prices of the coins! To add on, they sell silver at an increased price than market value. This shop is selling a 2.5 gram silver bar for $3.00 when, I could buy 1 gram of silver for 14 cents! This is ridiculous and should be changed, no one should deserve the horrible experience I got.

Not at all welcoming from who attended me and I wanted to sell my coins and the attendant was so unhelpful and pays very cheaply without barely telling you what you have. I took some indian head pennies and i regret selling them there, saw the value after and i was astonished.

I just called asking for advice about setting/framing/displaying stamps and the person with whom I spoke couldnt suggest anything at all -- whether to try to do so alone, where to go, or whatever else. Very unhelpful considering how long theyve been in business.

This place is really a rip off.i went in on oct.19. And one of the owners a older man, rip me off.my silver coins i had 13 silver swiss coins he payed me 11 dollars.yes thats right 11 dollars.and like 20 estados unidos de venezuela vintage also he payed me 39 lousy bucks.and a cuban 1953 silver 25cent coin he payed me 2 dollars.and an 1887 silver american 5 dollars and still when i got home i realize he didnt pay for one of them.is like he stold it.i was going back but my husband said he will deny it.is too late.once you leave you cannt claim anything back.and he payed for a 1954 canadian paper money 1 dollar.i took so many coins and paper money at once that it confused me.but you know what maybe thats how they make their money ripping people off.so they can live off of them.how this old man sleeps at night i dont know.but people be careful.thats Evil.Blanca Ramos Bravo

Gables coin and stamp was once, very different, last time I went there the premiums on gold were higher that what apmex charges on coins that trade for gold weight, additionally, I was interested in selling or trading some platinum eagle pieces I had in 1/10th oz) which we all know go for large premiums wherever you try to buy them... they offered me roughly $20 UNDER spot for each one citing because people who go in there dont know what platinum is and they dont want to pay for it... oddly enough, I had purchased one of the coins I was trying to sell back to them from them a few months prior when the 10th ozs were selling at $60+ over spot ($170) or so... and they got pissed off when I tried to pay with my debit card cause they would lose 3%... when I asked the person behind the counter what he was selling them for he wouldnt answer me, telling me he didnt have any in stock,... as I walked out, two different 10th oz pieces were in the window display facing the street. then I went back and traded in a gram of gold, he wouldnt give me a cent over melt value and sold me a 10th oz of gold for over $30 over spot,... Bottom Line, buy your coins online, you will be better off. Especially if you deal in small amounts most of the time, the sales person I spoke to here didnt seem to want to deal with me when he noticed I was spending a few hundred versus thousand(s).
