Great coffee but place needs more friendly barista,at least little smile,goes well with coffee

Fantastic place! I loved them in NYC and it’s great to have them in Miami. Great coffee, pleasant location and friendly staff.

The was super friendly and awesome. She was super patient and explained all the options and differences between different coffee beverages and they have all great happy hour special between 4-7 Monday through Friday.

AMAZING coffee! Very well prepared and with single origin beans.It’s hard to find a good coffee place in Florida that extracts the best flavor in coffee. I understand some people wouldn’t care less but I do (hence all the espresso images in my reviews).If you’ve ever been to California and had coffee at a third wave place, this experience would be the most similar to it.Give it a try!!!——————Second time here and now they give a rewards card. Got a mocha which was good. I got a dirty chai that was pretty disappointing especially for the price. Tastes like warm milk with some coffee flavoring. There wasn’t much of a Chai flavoring. Definitely expensive for what it was with small serving size.

Love the quality espresso. Love the Grumpy logo. Love the fact that its from NY. Wish the shop was bigger. Somethings missing in the layout. Not as cozy as it can be. Perhaps it needs better seating. Not sure. Somethings missing. Feels like a to-go cafe.

Previously had an issue with a Speedy-Tab order, but tried again today and the order was perfect, ready and waiting for me when I went in. And the barista was incredibly sweet.

Went around sampling espressos this morning- Café grumpy has great espresso! All these fancy coffee shops around Coral Gablestaste burnt & over extracted. Grumpy actually impressed me, could taste the notes of flavor, & crema was great. Good job guys!

The service was so fast, and it made me impress with them. I couldnt ask for more from them! They are the best! Strongly recommended to everyone!

Service is the absolute best! Super caring and attentive. The place is very aesthetically pleasing. A but busy during lunch but such a chill place in such a busy part of coral gables, it’s to be expected. The matcha cold tea is DELICIOUS!!!

Great coffee glad to see then migrate from NYC and hope they are here to stay. My only drawback and its personal is that there is no outside seating.

‘meh. It was ok and I’m sure the coffee would have been more to talk about. I got a hibiscus 🌺 ice tea and it had that weird flavor like it’s an hour late. I also ordered toast, unfortunately they were out of Almond butter so I decided to go with avocado toast. That was a mistake - the mix on the toast didn’t taste like fresh avocado 🥑 it tasted more like some mix that you can buy at the grocery store & for $7.50 I would expect a fresh blend.

The experience was a rather prompt one. Went there on a Saturday. It was relatively empty. Drink menu is mostly on par with most coffee shops, the turmeric soda was definitely something out of the ordinary. It loses a star for the anemic selection of baked goods on weekends, all they offered were cupcakes and banana bread ( which tasted pretty good ), aside from that there was nothing else to eat.

Grumpy has become by go to coffee provider in Miami. EXCELLENT coffee AND service. They offer a discount to on-duty First Responders. All the baked goods are delivered from Zak the Baker every morning.

The coffee is really good, but the place lacks vibe. In the end you visit a coffee house to sit and chat with friends, or read a book or even work. Sadly this place lacks that kind of atmosphere that makes you wanna stay. I hope they can revamp or do something to be more enticing, theres a lot of coffee shops around the Gables so you need to step up your game.

This place is wonderful. Joseph is a consistent fixture which for me has major appeal. His product passion, speed to please, combined with his ability to converse and relate to a host of different customer types make him marketable in any business hed have interest in trying. So far Ive tried the Tahitian Vanilla Latte made with oat mashed up with in house made Dulce De Leche syrup. Both steamed and iced. Both wonderful. Ive also had the tea - also very nice.I would agree with one of the reviewers below that Cafe Grumpy does have a to-go feel. Im not willing at this point to ding them a star because of it. I believe thats more of a reflection of this new Miami culture we live in. It lacks that fine coffee over intellectual conversations that youd find in San Francisco or Seattle.Update: While I still think the customer service here is exceptional, in keeping my reviews updated and honest to protect your hard earned money, I was disappointed with my recent holiday experience. An Eggnog latte was advertised featuring an eggnog from an artisan creamery. I leaped at the option! Holiday options pictured. When the barista went to prepare my latte she revealed a carton of run of the mill Publix! I immediately felt like a victim of bait and switch. While Im sure this was some sort of oversight, it needs to be fixed. Especially given the price.

This looks like an indie cafe, but it’s a snowbird. Catchy logo and name, refreshing tea selection. An expresso on every corner, fine by me. Welcome to the neighborhood, New York.

Amazing coffee! From the owner to the manager to the baristas it feels like so much energy and dedication is put into each cup of coffee. Highly recommended!

Went here because of an Instagram picture and 5 star but no idea why it’s so highly rated. Latte art 0/10 and they didn’t look like they wanted to be there. What I had wasn’t pleasant, first time I’ve walked out on a place after taking one sip

Im not saying Im a coffee expert but I know my stuff..been woeking in the industry for a while back in the early 2000s ..so I can say this place is amazing ...finally another option other than Panther (love yall but lets suport more local coffee shops ) I tried a pour over Rwanda it was amazing no sugar no nothing needed it was so tastefully the employee did an excellent job.

Expensive and there were very few food options. They need to expand their menu and make the atmosphere more friendly if they want to survive.
