Ive never been inside this store. All of my dealings have been on the phone and online. Ive found other Leica stores (one in particular) to be super snooty...like I should be thrilled that they are deeming to take my money. The LS-Miami (besides having a really good flow of used gear) is laid back on the phone and super helpful. Ive had a few phone dealings with Josh and hes so laid back and down to earth and helpful. He doesnt know who I am from Adam, but he seems to treat each customer with the same respect...whether they are well known or not...whether they are dropping 50k or 1k. I dont live near Miami but they have become my go-to Leica dealer.
I am not a professional photographer, but as a hobby photographer I was constantly trying to improve the quality of my images. Leica glass is second to none, but the team at Leica Store Miami made the Leica world accessible. Since this store opened, I have learned so much about photography in general and Leica products specifically: Ashlyn, Peter, Josh, Kirsten and David are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, they have truly made Leica Store Miami a center for photographic excellence. Highly recommended. Once you try a Leica, you cannot imagine composing photographs with anything else.
So I haven’t been to the store in person yet, but I recently bought a used Leica M 240 from here. This Leica store has the best selection for 2nd hand Leica cameras, lenses and other accessories.Josh was able to help me out from showing me pictures of the camera and shipping it to me. His professional customer service is top notch and I could only guess how much better he is able to help out in store.
I traded my Leica Q2 in for an M10-R and a 35mm f/2 summicron. I reached out to Josh and gave him the info he needed to consider my trade. He offered me a very fair amount for my Q2, and was selling the very lightly used M10-R and the Summicron at the right price. Once we established a trade value, I shipped to him and when it arrived he got back to me quickly and told me that he would honor the price we had agreed to prior to shipment. No hassles, no trying to work me down after he saw the camera, which if youve ever worked with KEH or Adorama or some of the other buyers is a rarity.I paid the balance owed right away and two days later, I had my new camera and lens in my mitts. Working with Josh was a really terrific experience from start to finish. The process was smooth, straight-forward and Josh is very honest and would answer my emails quickly and thoroughly. I will definitely do business with Leica Miami again, and if youre thinking about working with them, dont hesitate.
Helpful and friendly staff that really knows the product. Fantastic inventory and VERY well priced relative to the market. Looking forward to more transactions in the near future!!!
I have been buying and swapping Leica ‘stuff’ for over 40 years....this was my first camera experience with the Leica Store of Miami. I wanted to swap out my Q for a Q2 monochrom...... Josh provided a fair reasonable trade in value. He was responsive and detailed oriented. I had to make a few calls with Ashland for some technical advice. This is a very customer centric store with helpful, courteous staff. I highly recommend them!
I love this place!
Its a store entirely full of Leica stuff! If youre a photographer, that says it all. Of course its worth a pilgrimage to the Gables! The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and professional. And then there are. All. Those. Leicas.
Great people. Always go out of their way to work with you. Know their products in and out.Their workshops are great, you come away with a new understanding of the potentialOf your Leica gear.Josh is the head dude and very available but Kirsten and the rest ofthe crew are also on top of their game. In short, these people give you asales and service experience equal to the camera.
Great service. If you want to see Leica cameras, this is the place to go in Miami. You won’t waste your time.
Great people. Know their stuff. A pleasure to deal with.
I had the pleasure of dealing with the store recently when I had ordered a couple of small film cases from them online. When they arrived, one had been damaged by the post office in shipping, and I was prepared to order another, but when I explained what happened, their courteous representative just sent another one overnight, at no cost, and even refunded the shipping on the original order. I consider this the finest kind of customer service, and far beyond expectations. A first class operation for certain.
Have known David Farkas for many years. A great store. Very knowledgeable. Great service.
I was looking for a particular battery for a very old minolta and the staff here was fantastic, helpful and very insightful. I will definitely go back for all my photography needs from now on.
I have nothing but praise for Leica Store Miami. Every dealing I have have done with them has been a pleasure. They paid personal attention to all my orders online. For instance, I ordered an item for 1 camera and accidentally chose the wrong part for another. They reached out to me right away to check if the second part was meant for the same camera that wouldnt fit.In phone and email they have been courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. I truly wish every vendor I worked with was like them.
Needed some new lenses for my Cannon and they were very helpful at this store. No complaints

Mecca for camera lovers
I walked in store in their business hour, store manager came to me : we have a event, the shop not open to public. But there’s no any sign said “private event”, I checked the store website, the event just a regular workshop, class.I told the manager: I want to find accessories for my m10 camera, then he let me stay and purchased. All over all, just Because I wear a T-shirt and a khaki pants, not match Leica Miami’s elegant dress code. Can anyone remove this one star for me? They even not deserve receive a star.Worst experience ever.
Excellence.
I attend the photography talks and so far they have been very good. This time with the Cuban photographer Ralp Ventura the experience was different. The talk more than a photographic experience became a political pamphlet in favor of kindness ??? Of the life of Cubans under the Cuban regime ... An exaltation of the sweetness of the people that does not live to work, but works to live ... of the pretty girls in front of restaurants ... the fit and not fat since they do not consume sugar and junk food that is consumed in the USA ... so I continue and I ask myself or rather I remind Mr. Ventura, the sweetness of the people could have its origin in the lack of stres since they do not have to work too much because the state provides them with the basics to live. prostitution to access some dollars to subsist without so much hardship. To be able to buy sanitary towels for example ... there were and there are many cases of blindness due to malnutrition ... they are not fit in many cases they are malnourished and the extra food, the one that mr. Ventura ate in large quantities of has to get on the black market and is paid in dollars ...in any case, that murderous and invading regime today also bleeds the Venezuelan people, who die of starvation! My personal recommendation is that when inviting someone to the room they are sure that it will not be a political pamphlet and if a pleasant talk about good photography. You are not to know who attends the talks and it may be offensive to some .. in this case it was offensive to us ..,No to the Cuban regime!
