Referred by surgeon to get fitted for Hokos and was very disappointed in the staffs time spent attempting to fit me for shoes. Putting different shoes sizes on is something any store can do including somewhere like Academy Sports. Left this store to try another Run On store. Lady fitting me also took her mask off constantly which is ridiculous and a deal breaker.

I am not a person who gives a negative review, I have been a regular customer here from my first running shoes until today. They have the worst customer service, this person (manager) has no interest to engage or help me. I understand if they are busy and can wait and but when you are ignored on purpose and others get the attention then you know you are getting targeted. Felt very uncomfortable never going back there for sure, left a very bad taste.

Was here a couple of weeks ago for a fitting. I generally don’t write negative reviews but my experience here is compelling me to write one! I understand that there were a lot of customers and I had to wait 15 mins to get someone to attend to me. The salesperson who attended me had no interest whatsoever in working with me. I felt very uncomfortable to ask any questions about the shoes. I just got up and left and I’m never coming back here. I bought the same shoes in another store in grapevine where they valued me as a customer.

The store manager is horrible at this store! I wanted to inquire about the Saucony rewards and came he up to me What seems to be the problem?? I advised there was no problem and wanted to inquire about the Saucony rewards. During the discussion, he kept calling me Dude! One, i dont know u and u dont me.. Secondly, Im a loyal customer at this store. I have purchased many shoes from this place. It is a hit and miss with this place when it comes to customer service and reading sum of these reviews Im not the only one with this issue and not surprising. Very sad, Im hoping they can make sum improvements with there employee there, starting from the top with there management.

This is a decent specialty run store. Since they are smaller, there isnt as much color selections. They are tied to a decent online store, so no reason we cant get what we want

Just called the store to ask availability on my size; I was greeted unpleasantly on the phone and after I actually said Good morning, how are you?, the gentlemen responded with: What is it? What do you need?, complete lack of phone etiquette, politeness and total rushed demeaner.I was very disappointed by that because I am a strong believer that good customer service should be the foundation of marketing, regardless if the store does well selling and has the items that we are looking for; additionally, I wanted to support local business.This was my first time actually reaching out to this store but will not reach out again.

So happy I went. They custom fitted my feet to tell me what kind of arch I have. Was able to get a really good insoles for my shoes. Huge difference in how I walk and pain relief.

This store was awesome and specifically Cole. He and a new hire took probably an hour to help fit me with the right shoes/inserts to help alleviate my knee pain. Tried several pairs, ran with them out on the pavement, plus tried different combinations of shoes and inserts. He’s very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about optimizing my form, how to avoid injury by adjusting training schedules, etc. I will definitely be back!

My husband and I came here to look for a pair of running shoes. Cole helped us, and he was very knowledgeable about shoes and how they fit during running. However, when we got in he asked if I got blisters when I run because of my cotton socks. I replied no, and then he brought me socks, opened them, and then told me to try them because they’re sweat wicking. I tried them on and continued to try shoes on. At the end Cole asked if I liked the socks, I told him no I probably wouldn’t wear them, to which he responded “oh.... well, I guess you can just take them because they’re going to have to be defected”. And then he sat silent. My husband and I were so uncomfortable and felt pressured in the moment and said we could just buy them if they were going to be defected. Which we did. Hindsight is 20/20 and we should have called the bluff or let him defect the socks. At the end of the day, the socks were $17. When a manager was called about the situation he responded that the socks would need to be brought back in and that he had no idea Cole handled things that way. Are the socks actually being defected if they can be “returned” or was this a sales tactic?? Left this place feeling so slimy, like a car dealership makes you feel. We will be donating the socks in Denton, because the manager said he couldn’t do any refund unless he had the socks. Word to the wise is do not try on socks if someone here suggests that you should “try” them, or you may be guilted into purchasing something you don’t want.

This was my first time in Run On and it wont be my last. The store was very busy this morning, but I was greeted as I walked in and as soon as they could the clerk was there to answer my questions and get the shoes I wanted to try on! I found what I liked and I was out of the store in no time!

I have bought my running shoes from Run On for many years, and the number one reason is because of their customer service. That being said, I bought my most recent pair on Saturday, and by far we had the best service ever. We were helped by Cole (didnt catch his last name), and my daughter and I basically attended a free running class. My only regret is that I didnt record the conversation as there was so much needed information about shoes, running mechanics, stretching, etc. etc.Again, Ive received great service over the years, but it keeps getting better.Now, less typing, more running.

Excellent customer service. I am fairly new to the sport of running. I have been running in the Brooks Ghost. I decided I wanted something with a little more cushion and purchased 2 pair of new shoes, the Brooks Glycerin and a Hoka (not one that was suggested by the salesman) that was on the sale table. The salesman was very knowledgeable. I had him measure my feet because it has been a while since I’ve had them measured. He suggested I go up half a size and to a wide width. I knew immediately when I went out for a run the Hoka was a no go for me. About 1/2 mile and returned home to put the Glycerin on. This shoe felt much better, but it felt too big. I returned both with no issue. Went back to the Ghost and bought the Brooks Glycerin in a smaller size. I’m happy with both shoes, but after getting them home I could tell the Ghost had been worn enough to show some wear on the inside and a small amount on the tread. There is a sweat ring and fuzzy wear on the insole of the shoe. Also wear on the inside of the heels. I would say the amount of time I wore the ones I returned was no more than someone testing a pair out on the treadmill in the store. I made sure there were no marks or anything on the shoes before returning them. I would say the pair I brought home have been worn for a fairly long run. 😞 I still highly recommend this store, but be sure to look the shoes over before purchasing. They may have been tested out more than you would like when purchasing a new pair of shoes.Update: I would like to update my review. I went back with my shoes and showed the employee how much wear was on the shoes. He agreed there was more wear on this pair. He apologized and exchanged them for a brand new pair. I would also like to share about the pair my husband had the employee order for him because you didn’t have it in stock. When we received his shoes one was a 10 and one a 10.5. We went for a run and when we got back my husband thought he tied his shoe too tight then noticed the size difference. We went back to the store to return this pair. The employee located the shoe in Frisco and also have us a credit to use in the store for all our running around for the correct shoe. We understand things can happen. The customer service provided was more than we could ask for. We will definitely be back for our next pair of running shoes. See you again when we get about 300 miles on our new shoes.

The personal care yet not being pushy in trying to sell anything was so welcomed. Very impressed with their knowledge on shoe construction and how it would work for me. This is important if you have specific problems with your feet that affects your running or just walking.Very happy with my Hoka purchase. Very happy!

I just came back here after a year of living away and it’s still THE BEST customer service for running/footwear I’ve ever had in my life. Online can be hit or miss, but in store you can’t beat this place. They can get busy and do their best to help each customer to the fullest extent while still being mindful of the line, but please exercise patience if they are busy. They are going to extend that same level of customer service and knowledge to you when it’s your turn. I will 100% buy all my running gear here!

The first time I came here was very underwhelming and I didn’t really want to go back. However, I needed new running shoes badly and I needed help finding a better shoe. The second time I came here was looking like another visit I wasn’t going to like (because the same sales person helped me), but he got pulled away while helping me by another customer and another salesman came out of the back to help me. The second salesman was awesome. He took the time to really understand my foot needs. He had me try on about 10 pair of shoes and jog a bit to feel them out. I was so thankful that he took the time to help me like that. He was able to help me and one other person at the same time and I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to hurry and pick something. I think he really cares about people and that’s a rare find in retail these days. So thanks! The mizuno’s are working out amazing!

Amazing. I wish I had come here sooner for fitment. I previously suffered horrible knee pain when running in various UA and Nike shoes with both knees hitting 7/10 pain by 3/4 of a mile. After five years of increasing pain I eventually tried professional help. My salesman asked my goals (no pain, not aiming for competition speed, 2-5 mile runs) and then had me walk while he watched. He came back with three shoe options and two inserts. I settled on a combination very quickly and, without training, did a 4 mile run with ZERO knee pain. Running is now something I do to enjoy and have fun, something that hasnt been possible in a decade.

Always a great experience. This is the second time Ive been here for a pair of shoes. Staff are very personalized to each customer and go out of their way to bring multiple varying shoes out to have you test. Let them know if you have pain anywhere and they will accommodate. Best part is the treadmill to hit the ground running (a bit cliche).

Love Run On! Would recommend this shoe store to anyone looking for exercise shoes or apparel. An associate, Manny (sorry if I misspelled), helped my wife and I find running shoes. He was extremely friendly and helpful. About three other people were working and would add to the conversation. Overall, it was a super positive experience.

This store did not have the customer service I experienced at all other run on’s that I have been to.The employee was rude and lazy. He didn’t even check my feet size, so I had to ask to be fitted and he didnt do anything to help me find a decent shoe.The other employee at the register was the same.I normally try to leave only good reviews if i write one, but this experience was so bad.

I wish I remembered the name of the two people I worked with to get my shoes but they were the best! I had been dealing with a foot issue and sometimes mall bought Nikes aren’t the best route lol. People who work here and at other running stores in the Dallas/Ft Worth metropolitan area make it hard to pick a favorite. They’re all very knowledgeable, offer running programs for all levels, and are in general very friendly!

I loved my experience here! I have a very hard time finding shoes that fit the combination of wide bunions and high arches. The staff here analyzed my sizing and gait, and dailed in on exactly the right shoe. I didnt want to take them off when I got home!

My wife convinced me to get properly fitted, as I usually just buy what is on sale at Academy. What a difference! I always had pain in my foot and knee when I run, and after getting fitted properly, pain is gone! My wife was finally right for once...

I will not go to a large chain sporting goods store for shoes again. Sergei took the time to talk to me and meet my needs, all at closing time. I figured being a “specialty store” I would pay more, I ended up gettting my ASICS for 60 dollars cheaper than any of the large stores.Awesome place!

Staff here are great at finding the right show for those feet that arent quite perfect. The money back guarantee works well when you want to try a new show. My last refit, I wanted to try a different brand but ended up swapping back to my normal shoes.

I came in looking for a shoes to run in for my track practices. I didnt really know what I was looking for, but almost immediately after my mom and me walked in I was helped. Cole was very very informative & helpful! He asked me questions about the events I do, what our practices at school are like, areas that bother me, etc to get a better understanding about what type of running shoe I would need. In addition to that He even observed my walking gait. He picked out three shoes for me to try on, and I was able to try them out then and there by running in front of the store! Super pleasing experience. I made the visit upon a coworkers recommendation, and it was everything she described. Im just getting into running, and needed guidance in selecting good shoes. I was helped by Seregy who is the store manager. I explained my needs and the fact that Im a newbie, and he had me walk/jog on a treadmill. He analyzed my stride, and made some recommendations. Then he had me try on each of them, take them for a spin outside, and note what felt the best. I made my choice and was on my way. I feel like I can go back for all my running gear needs, and they even have a 30-day test run policy during which you can make an exchange at no cost. Superb customer service; I highly recommend!

Fantastic customer service. Staff spend probably an hour with me trying to find me the perfect shoe. I was dealing with shin splints and knee pain and the shoe they helped pick out for me is amazingly comfortable while still being lightweight.

They helped my son out tremendously with picking the right shoes. Having him run in the store and identifying that he needed inserts. They handle kids very well with a high tolerance for energy.

Walked in ready to drop a dime. Only went to Run On because a year ago my daughter had good customer service. We waited for over 10 minutes with shoes in hand to get some assistance but the 4 people were sitting behind the counter chatting and yankin hank. Considering their prices are about 20% higher than other retailers I would have expected to been asked if we would like to be assisted but we were never spoken to by anyone.
