Not only did they charge multiple times on our account. They argued that they did not though we can see posted transactions ( not including the pending). When asked to reverse the charges they did not care to help but rather said they have never seen this happen, and they stated it is our bank. (Incorrect again as a bank will only post or let transactions pend based on the actions of the merchant or their merchant services). The most they could offer was that we would need to contact Corporate services general number to have the corrections made..When confronting an upset customer, rolling your eyes and shaking your head is one of the biggest mistakes you can make as a manager. Be prepared for their lack of compassion as a customer service representative of this company. They truly ruin this companies reputation at this location.

No one who owns and operates a business deserves to still be in business when you consistently treat people so poorly. Believe the other negative reviews related to the business owner. Ive only refilled my propane tanks at this location. Just pull up to the big tank and push the doorbell and someone will come out in a few minutes to fill your tank. Pay by credit card right at the filling station- it couldnt be easier! One of the best aspects of getting propane here is that they measure how much you need and you only pay for what they fill into your tank. So, if its 1/4 full, you only pay for 3/4 of a tank. This is different than most places, which charge you for a full tank regardless of the residual gas. Beware of those tank exchange locations, they only refill the tanks about 3/4 full and charge you for a full tank!Staff is friendly, but you may have to wait a few minutes if theyre super busy.disclaimer, I have not rented from this location.
4 employees, only 2 customers in front of me, and took them 45 minutes to ask “how can I help you”. Literally 45 minutes. The worse part is they didn’t have what I needed in stock. Fml
I wanted my propane tanks filled first time I have had someone look at the tank and tell me they were expired and refused to fill them..
I was able to get checked out in less than 5 minutes on 10/3 because I pre-registered online. The truck ran well and the return took less than 5 minutes.

I gave 4 stars because I started with a half tank of gas, very inconvenient. The main reason I gave 4 stars is because they dont have military discounts.
Would give zero stars if I could... Very unimpressed with their customer service if you could call it that. Scheduled a pickup for 7:45pm with U-Haul Corporate and then called ahead to let them know I was running a few minutes late due to weather and traffic, which they said was totally fine. I arrived when I said I would, and they turned me away stating that it was too late. I drove all the way there to be sent away after I had confirmed the time with them, and they had said they would have the trailer ready for me. Called corporate immediately and made a report, they then sent me to another store and the trailer wasnt even there. Drove the two hours home without it, or the car I was supposed to be picking up. Very unhappy and will never be returning here again. I suggest you do the same, they dont deserve business when they treat customers this way.
The facility itself is nice, but filled with price gouger con artists. They will charge you for any minor discrepancy. Had the vehicle for one more day, but they wanted it sooner because they rented out too many trucks. I took off work to get it into them sooner, and later found out I was charged for delivering it over a day late with 2 extra charges in correlation to that. Make sure to drop off your truck anywhere else. And since they dont have any extra trucks available, it would most likely be wise to pick up your vehicle elsewhere (although I myself have never reserved one at this location).
Rented a truck to pickup some new furniture. The process getting the truck and returning it was painless.
Reserved a truck with them for a day (24 hrs). Came in to the reservation being for only 4 hours. The owner said we were wrong and they were right. He pulled up the recording of the call which took almost 30 minutes extra of our time to prove us wrong, but it proved us right. He did extended it to the end of their business hours (an extra 6 hours), but it was still short and a pain for us.Overall his staff was nice, but he was very rude and crass to my older father and I who had done everything right. Would highly recommend avoiding them if you can.
I had a reservation at another location and they did not have my trailer. I was sent here and even thought it was a busy weekend morning Sam was able to get me on my way. Thanks Sam
Do not patronize U-Haul Coon Rapids, MN! They wired a hitch on my vehicle Monday, shorting out my turn signals. Went back this morning to have them repair and was treated with extreme rudeness by the owner. He commented that I hadnt made an appointment prior to bringing the vehicle back today. There was no apology, what so ever. I asked why the individual who was working on my vehicle had gone inside to assist other customers when he hadnt fixed my problem. He told me I had no right to tell him how to run his business, was that clear????? I told him perfectly. In addition to the hour of drive time, I spent 2 hours there. Again, no apology - nothing. Go somewhere else to spend your money that really cares about your business!!!!!!
Ive used the team at this location a few times now. They are a HUGE facility, one of larger u-haul facilities Ive seen, at least in Minnesota. Ive always had really good service with this team, they treat you well and dont seem out to rip you off. They are helpful and courteous. Ive heard of some horror stories at *other* nearby locations, but I couldnt be happier with my experiences with this location.
My review written a year ago has mysteriously disappeared from this location. I suspect that the crybaby manager had flagged it but there are so many negative reviews to support my original one. I have done business with U-Haul for many years and would rate any location 4 or 5 stars... except Coon Rapids and ONLY because the manager has no business dealing with the public. The rest of the crew was great, as always, but the manager started of with a snide remark on the day of my pickup and things just got worse from there. If he had worked with me instead of argue, kick and scream and pout that I had commented in my original review that he was suitable for scrubbing toilets with the stipulation that he not have contact with customers, I would have gladly edited my original review to reflect that. I will still give my business to U-Haul but will go 100 miles out of my way to avoid this location as long as they retain this person as manager.
We requested to pickup our truck here. We did NOT receive notice that the pickup location had changed and when we got here the manager was rude, arrogant a complete jerk to us when we said we did not get a message. He implied that we were lying and we were wrong to not want to get our truck from the location they changed it to. He was put out when we asked for a different location. When I complained to corporate he called and argued more with us. Corporate NEVER even called us about the complaint. Paige was our first contact and was not helpful, Amanda hung up on me and Danielle left me on hold for 40 minutes. U- Haul will Never get my business again.If you do have to rent a truck go to the location in East Bethel, they were polite, helpful and considerate. Avoid coon Rapids and the Corporate office as the are completely useless!
Extremely rude. I scheduled an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed for 7am on a Saturday. I received a confirmation text the next day saying that I was confirmed at 11:30...i called to see if this was an error, and the owner told me to take it or leave it... And was rude the entire time. Go ANYWHERE else... No way to treat customers trying to give you business. I can only imagine how he would treat someone if there was a problem.
Easily accessible, you can get in and get out quickly. Great customer service. Prices are fair but Ive also seen better in the area.
I looked up online for availability on truck and auto transport, everything was available and compatible with vehicle im going to tow, but when I got there they said that they dont have anything and that i wont be able to tow that vehicle with any of their cars. Note before I was towing much heavier cars with same setup. Worst personal Ive ever seen all that because they were so lazy to get up of their chair they should be fired for that. I would never go to that uhaul again!!!
Couldnt rent the uhual on the online check in. The line was way too long and we had to wait on it twice to be treated poorly by the guy at the counter. Worst experience ever. We ended up leaving the truck and going to a different location because we couldnt get the passcode for the lockbox! Zero stars!(This was also after we reserved a truck in st. Cloud only to get sent to coon rapids because they didnt have any trucks available. 1 hour drive to wait another hour and leave without a truck!)
The service was ok until I returned the vehicle. I booked everything online as well as the furniture pads, so I was unaware they were rentals. Therefore I did not return with them, the response I received was totally uncalled for. I was expecting a quote for the items, but instead got a copy of my rental agreement in my face. I replied to him that he did not have to be rude. I just wanted my options, not proof that they were in fact rentals.... needless to say, the new attendant was completely apologetic and very helpful.
Be incredibly cautious working with this franchise! Take pictures of your dolly and the condition of your rental! My fiance and I were charged for using a dolly (that was still tied to its spot) and told we left it a mess. We told them that we never used the dolly because we had our own equipment and we never had anything in the cab of the car. The business owner then continued to tell us that his employees told him the condition of the vehicle was poor and the tie was taken off. Made me wish that we had taken pictures and documentation to help our case. I would never trust this business for any reason. Incredibly disappointed!
What a joke this place is. I was just reading some of the negative reviews and they are almost identical to my experience. This manager/owner needs to be investigated. He will record phone conversations, edit them to support his lies and play them back to you. This is what I experienced after I had paid online to have a hitch put on my van and scheduled over the phone only to find out they moved the date when I showed up. I showed them emails confirming the appt but that didnt change. I should never have let them put the hitch on latter but I did. Big mistake. They put a 20amp fuse where it needed a 5 amp. It lasted 3 months before the wire bundle burnt up right next to my gas tank while my wife and kids were in the Van.
Apparently reservations are more like suggestions they made me pickup my truck at a different location, gave me a different truck than requested, and none of the Dollys etc. I ordered to go with it. And tried to make me pay more for it. Not so much as an apology was offered. I will never work with uhaul again at any location. They are frankly not incomparable in price to other vendors. It is unfathomable to me the cavelier attitude they seem to have about not having any idea where their inventory might be or what their customer requested.
The General Manager Bruce Aveen-West was extremely helpful and understanding, he tried very much to help us with our situation and because of him we were able to resolve it as well as possible under the circumstances. We are very grateful to him for trying to accommodate our needs in the manner that he did. The other employees there were also very helpful and accommodating to us. Quick Service but couldnt take the time to make sure the running lights worked on the dolly thanks uhaul so glad i gotta worry about getting pulled over driving at night ...
Rented from them many times, they always have my van ready when I order online. It gets busy on the weekends, I suggest you preorder to make sure they have what you need.

They tried to charge my wife nearly $200 for pre-existing damage. DO NOT RENT HERE. Go to the Brooklyn Park location. They did not try to scam me and appologized for the Coon Rapids location. Brooklyn Park has a large full service facility with friendly competent staff that is worth traveling the extra distance.
Fast enough service from fairly nice employees but they’re also very inexperienced with no attempt to really correct any problems that occur due to their own misinformation.

Called last week to have a hitch replaced on my van, Was qouted the same price twice last week. I called this week and talked to someone who said it would be $30 more then I had been qouted. He was rude and wouldnt let me talk to the manager. Im probably more upset with how I was handled on the phone then the increase in price. Im thinking the rude guy on the phone was the hitch installer and seems like he was trying to upsell me so he can get a commision..( just a guess). they should not let this person answer the phone. I would not recommend anyone going there.
They always come through when I need a last minute trailer rental. They have a solution for every moving situation and the staff is very helpful.
