This isnt a reflection on GameStop necessarily, but the person I worked with! Andrew has top notch customer service and Ive seen him a couple of times and spoken with him a couple as well. Super informative, quick and to the point and overall a nice guy. Thank you for great customer service.

First GamesTop in a while Ive been to that had a PS4 and games on the shelf that they actually have. The customer support was really good and I am very satisfied.

The box was dropped numerous times with a hole right threw the front, the worse part is I went back to get a replacement 5mins later literally and they told me they were out. I had 2 friends go in and buy Nintendo switches that were meeting me their and they both got theirs after they refused me and neither of them pre ordered. Im grateful to find a switch however on principle its disrespectful and disappointing to be lied to and then have game stop not follow there own replacement policies...very disappointed

The guy working behind the counter needs to be paid more. Ive never seen a more calm man in my life deal with a mother son combo trying to return a 5 month old microphone that didnt work anymore. They were nearly screaming at him, what a saint.

I was in the store yesterday and the employee “very large sweaty” kid was on some kind of power trip. Being rude and making demands for a mentally challenged 5 year old child to put on a mask. Ok that’s acceptable being COVID times but really? Was that worth the fit this child threw in the store? Ok I get that you have to hire kids at low pay to make a profit and such. I will never spend another dime here ever. And for the employee, I hope I catch you in public son I will teach you what your parents didn’t.

Got a new PS4 and the GameStop insurance. Two months later my controller gave out. Came in for replacement and said I’m better off doing it through Sony since the insurance is a one time use. Understood and it made sense. A month later my PS4 won’t turn on. Came in for a replacement but none in stock. I said ok that’s fine I’ll wait. A month passes and still no call for a replacement. Came in and manager said we have one but it’s refurbished. I said I don’t want it because mine still has a Sony one year warranty. Manager kept cutting me off and talking over me when I tried getting a word in. I got frustrated because he kept pushing the refurbished ps4 or to keep waiting months for a new one. He told me it will take how ever long to get a system and that I only had these two options. I would of taken the refurb if they included the insurance but kept cutting me off. At that point I knew he didn’t cared or understood my situation so I left with nothing. I don’t have anything to play and haven’t for over a month. I even asked for store credit to buy something else. I would of gotten a ps5 since they come sooner and spent more on games and controllers.

Interesting how the store thinks they are essential during a stay at home order. I dont see them selling anything essential or anything you cant get at other stores that do have essential items..such as food.

My husband spends an inordinate amount of time at this Game Stop. He has weird relationships with the staff there in a weird nerdy buddy group. But it’s cool because they’re all guys :) And since they know my husband so well they can help me pick out gifts for him when needed. It’s a win-win.

The staff here is great. Its obvious they are passionate about video games and getting them in to the hands of those who play them. I hope they are treated well with fair pay and benefits, because they are worth it, Gamestop.

Amazing staff. My experience here was extremely memorable to say the least. I dont do much video gaming but my grandson does and I just so happened to walk into this game shop with him I was said hello to right away by this young man with tattoos he said his name was Deon I believe, Anyways he noticed I was wearing a Minnesota wrestling shirt and him and I had an awesome conversation about the sport and he was helping my grandson with every question he had and was able to recommend a game for him. I ended up walking out with 3 games and a new buddy to talk wrestling with. I will definitely be back.

It is pretty well known that you will not get a great price trading in old games and gear at gamestop, so i do not recommend this place for anything like that, but if you need some good advice on anything console gaming related this place is great, the staff is excellent and normally have great tips and needed info, If i buy physical media this is where i would buy it.

This GameStop is just like any other. Has all the latest games plus a great selection of older, used games, plus accessories and other gaming related items. They had the games I was looking for, so that was a plus. The place was clean and the staff were friendly. Id recommend this GameStop.

Sure, its small and crowded, but these guys know their games! While checking out, I was happily able to let my inner gamer nerd come out and have a conversation that didnt leave glazed eyes after 5 minutes. Topics went from the brick gameboy to the Xbox 1/Ps4 with the dude ringing me up. He even helped me save a TON of money with a little finagling with the items and me signing up for the yearly membership after some convincing. For the wide variety of consoles and games out there, these guys even knew the older games just as well as newer ones. Very knowledgeable staff, for sure!

Bomb place to get games and of your a pro member you get even better deals. The staff is Really help full if you have any questions about the game your looking at your interested in. They also have a lot of cool collectables or toys and some clothes. And if that store dont have what your looking for they c axon call other stores and order them Im pretty sure.

I love this location, they know what they are talking about, and love to talk with you about games. (with in reason, they got work to do too. Lol)I just recently got The Fractured But Whole from them and when I got home the case did not have the disk, I called and went over and they worked with me to get the disk I payed for with no hassle. I have and will continue going to this branch. They may have lost one of the best managers I have ever met, but the staff there are still top notch and care about their customers!

Im not going to say dont go here but I will say do your research. I was looking at 3 different games for the ps4 and all cost more than new. For example the game plants vs. zombies garden warfare 2 new from any other store is about $20, they wanted (for the same game) $45 for a used copy. This was pretty much the same for all games I checked on.

Staff greets you warmly but only helps the regulars that they know by name. Wandered around aimlessly for 20 minutes in the tiny store and never got help so we left. Also not the best place if you dont have the newest most current systems

Highly recommended whether you know what you want or are just looking for a suggestion or new games to try. Also a very clean store, professional, and good amount of stock on hand.

It is illegal not to accept legal tender. These people are turning away cash transactions, when every other business is accepting all forms of legal tender.

Great place to shop for Xbox and PS4 accessories and games. Great prices and very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be visiting again in the future. If you dont feel like waiting for an online order for a video game or console, for a little bit more you can get any item youre looking for Xbox or PS4 related there. Great place!

The place is alright. Selection is smaller than the Northtown location. There only ever seems to be one employee running registers at any given time.

The manager Andrew is such a horrible manager. On multiple occasions, including when I worked under him, he had abused his power, and been blatantly rude, and breaking various HR rules. He is known in the district for harassing women. I’ve called multiple HR complaints, and nothing gets done. Such actions forced me to walk away from the company. Never coming here again.

They were friendly and attentive, and even helped overcome a tech issue hindering a purchase.

Best GameStop I know of. The manager and other employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend this GameStop very much!

Poor customer service, return policy is a joke, store was filthy when we got there. I would save your time, effort, and sanity by shopping at a different store. Overall the experience was one of the worst consumer experiences ive ever had.

Store was busy and only two employees were working. Not helpful to become familiar with store. My son wanted to trade a game and offered lower than the pawn shop.

This is my gaming store I have been visiting it for years I buy 99.9% of my gaming stuff from them! The staff is awesome. I will continue to shop there for many years to come. Also now that GameStop bought thinkgeek its even more amazing!

I no longer have time to keep track of all the news in the world of video games. Fortunately, I dont have to. The incredibly reliable, customer-focused staff of the Coon Rapids Gamestop gives me phone calls to alert me of items I might want, and is always ready to talk games or make recommendations. I have my reservations about Gamestop as a company, but this particular location meets and exceeds every expectation.

Waited in line for a midnight release here once. Courteous and knowledgeable staff, usual if not exceptional stock. Used to have 2 gamestops within 2 blocks of each other... and this one is the one that is still here.

I would give it no stars if I had the option. I was looking for a 3ds game, I asked an employee if they had a used copy of one. He responded sarcastically that he doesnt have their whole inventory memorized but hands me a copy and says but this one says used on it so that should mean its a used copy. I called him a dick and told him there was no need for that sarcastic ass attitude and he refused service to me and told me to go to Best Buy instead.I went to other gamestops around and they said they have heard similar complaints about the coon Rapids one. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to the north town one, far better service there.

To put it simply the worker there is an A-hole!! His name is JR or JT or some other initial...he was rude seemed annoyed with just being there. Never completed my transaction and was pushy about the member upgrade and tried to make me feel as if Im making a mistake not getting it. He needs to get a new job! I will not ever go back to that store again.

I was very upset leaving here today I bought my 7 year old son a used batman xbox 360 game. While I was being checked out mark a team lead might I add who checked me out was extremely rude pushy and unprofessional when I declined wanting to upgrade my membership after telling him no thanks he continued to push me I said no again he said fine your choice and shook his head. Then he AGAINNN pushed it on me finally my mom said no its for a 7 year old child that barely plays video games and he actually had the nerve to say so 7 year Olds dont cost money he said it because the membership would have took money off the game but I didnt have the 15 dollars extra to sign up bit that wasnt his business to even know that. I will never come back to this game stop again. I get its your job to try and sell stuff but that was beyond uncalled for very rude unprofessional and coming from a person in sales not how you should treat declining customers.

This was the first time ever going to gamestop two days ago, I went there looking for Wii games. The guy was putting them in Alphabetical order because they normally don’t have customers come look for them, he wouldn’t let me look at them at all and I drove all the way there just for that. Was very disappointed.

He tried to seem like he knew it all....

I concur with all of the other low star reviews on here regarding the Riverdale Gamestop location -- the staff at this location are very unprofessional.I went there once to return an item purchased at another Gamestop location, and after waiting in line for 10 min, the first thing the employee did was complain to me about how they are getting killed that day with returns from other stores -- like its my fault or my job to do something about it. He continued to have a sulking attitude for the duration of my transaction -- I was planning on doing some shopping and spending more money there after returning that item, but that employee made me just want to leave and go to the Northtown location.I have patroned many Gamestop locations in MN and regularly visit about 4-6 of them currently -- this one is by far the worst I have ever been to. Like others have said, the few extra minutes of driving to the Northtown location is definitely worth it. Much nicer and professional staff.

So im in the store for 20 mins and both cashiers seem to be able to greet and ask every other customer rather than me. Only difference between all the other customers and me was that i was the only minority. I almost never play the race card and sure as hell dont need someone to hold my hand when im shopping but even i was offended by these two guys (shopping date was 11/3 at 3:15pm).

The employee culture seems like it is very high pressure here. They are very pushy about pre-orders,their rewards card, warranties, donating to whatever charity they support, and tradeins. Plan on spending 5 minutes at the register no matter what you buy because they are going to ask you for a million different things.

They are always so helpful and pleasant.
