The equipment works well. Some of the employees who carried over from Floyd continue to provide good service. However, since Floyd became Per Mar, the general level of service and responsiveness is lacking. I have called on three separate occasions for different reasons, and each time was told someone would call me back shortly on that same day. Each time, I had to call back myself. One time I had to call back three times over the course of two days before the ticket was escalated to critical which is apparently whats needed to get someone to call back. Even then it took a full day. Floyd was far more responsive, always resolving issues immediately.
Ive worked in a lot of service oriented industries, but this has by far been one of the best and most understanding when it comes to employee relations/scheduling.I love that my schedule is clear and planned out so I can plan my life accordingly. The time clock system is pristine and organized. I have access to everything I need, right on my phone and the managers are always detail-oriented and on top of things.I appreciate the management team also. I expressed to them that I desperately needed more income and I would pick up any shifts that they may need covered. They readily called me anytime another officer called out and they completely understood when I told them I would need to get ready and head out. I absolutely appreciate being given the opportunity to work for them and broaden my resume and experience fields. The level of professionalism is not matched by any other industries Ive worked thus far.As long as youre a great person and employee, you wont have any issues working here. With every adult job, you should be prepared to work, have good communication with your management, and come to work prepared to WORK. If you present yourself as a professional adult, you will be treated as such. I cannot wait to see where I go from here. Its a great family-owned company and I am always excited to be apart of something great. What keywords come to my mind when I think of Per Mar Security now?? Customer care, teamwork, discipline, diligence, excellence, and most importantly; family.
I have been apart of the office for a few months now and personally love the experience. The managers are friendly and work with everyone to make their careers work for them. Everyone is professional and they care about seeing their employees succeed. I am honored to be apart of their crew and work one on one with them and all new hires coming in to the company.
I have been with a lot of security companies in my time. Big and small. I have never worked for one that has as good of benefits and competitive pay. The communication for me is always the biggest thing. Id say the communication with Per Mar has been excellent. It was a leap of faith joining when i did. But so far its been amazing. Usually when you join a company and get the whole this is everything you can achieve in a short time speech. Normally its too good to be true. I put my nose to the grind stone. And everything is paying off. Im a Site Supervisor and was offered an area manager role in a different location. Although I declined, Per Mar is always looking for new opportunities for me.
DW Derieg from the Duluth / Eau Claire Branch was our service tech. He took the time to explain what he was going to do and let us know what requirements where needed to have the new system up to code. He was very knowledgeable and explained what he was doing and why. Very polite and straight forward with what he was doing with little to no downtime with our update. Thanks for you service!
Several times weve had the alarm go off (accidentally thankfully) and they never called. When I called them to see if they got an alert they said they hadnt. I sure miss Floyd.
Per Mar has been an excellent company to work for. I started off as a security guard and within the span of a few months worked my way up to running one of their biggest sites in the area. They will definitely reward you if you put in the time and effort.
A friend that works for Per Mar here in the Twin Cities suggested that I also consider some working with them. My friend said the work is interesting and the new Twin Cities management was a breath of fresh air. I have now been at a few different client locations and enjoyed the varied opportunities. I passed on the favor - I suggested the place to a friend and he is now working for Per Mar.
The company is horrible max is a horrible account manager. They dont really seem to care vary much if you have a family issue/death in your family.
Bad place to work
I have worked for Per Mar Security in the Twin Cities for some time now, and I have nothing but great things to say about my company and my coworkers. It is such a wonderful positive work environment to be in. I enjoy coming to work every day.
Two weeks ago I reached out to this company to see if I could obtain some last minute security guard coverage during a very chaotic time in Minneapolis. I was able to reach the GM directly. They were able to supply security to be on my site within 90 minutes. As the conditions were getting worse and worse I was in constant contact with the GM Randy .I can’t say enough good things about the professionalism and responsiveness. I would highly recommend this Company for any security needs you may have .
Great company to work for and an even better company to be apart of.O
Good work environment
A great company to work for. There are a lot promotional opportunities in this company to advance in this field.
Now that I have a permanent location, thats keeping me from leaving the company. I now have a consistent schedule mon-fri 1st shift. Before I had my permanent location, I was a flex officer, covering other peoples shift. That was HELL!!!The company has poor management, its unorganized, and employees are always leaving the company. Many new employees leave the company after they noticed how bad the company can be, which is very frustrating because were always short on staff. This resulted in flex officers covering more days and long shifts. When I flexed, I normally worked 6-7 days a week, 8hrs or more each day. I drove to many different locations to cover shifts. On my days off, they would call me to work. My schedule was all over the place, some days I had to do a back-to-back 16hr shift because we were short employee. They are desperate for flex employees and will hire anyone as long as you pass a drug test.If you dont care about your social life, willing to work long shifts, and travel anywhere, this job is for you.
No problems, vendor is easier to work with than ADT
Nothing extraordinary. The building was clean but difficult to navigate.
