Always seems a bit pricey for their collectible section. But they do have a large clearance section that my wife raids often.

Good selection and well organized but the music has been so loud lately that I couldn’t focus on anything except the music and have left without buying anything multiple times as a result.

As a book lover, I could spend hours in this store! Its well organized, clean and has just about anything you could want. If you dont want to pay full price for a book, they have discounts for being a BAM member where you can get up to 40% off in some cases. If you dont want to be a member, there are plenty of Bargain Books to browse through in the back. I got a book that retails for $18.99 for only $3 yesterday! There are places to sit and read if you want to do that. Lots of childrens books and other things. There is a coffee shop in the store. They are requiring masks right now, and actually made an announcement while I was shopping because apparently someone had come in and then taken their mask off. They reminded customers that they required masks to be worn at all times. The young lady who checked me out was very nice. She asked me if I would like to add a bag of coffee to my order for our troops overseas, and I thought that was very cool because I have a nephew who is in the Army. Great store!

I mean how can books a million not get 5 stars. Its always clean, always smells, good and the staff is super friendly.

Every time I go its an excellent experience and the staff are helpful and kind. A lot of these books I got from this store and I couldnt be happier.

My granddaughter and I went. We really enjoyed it,had not been there in a long time. Shopped and relaxed with a good cup of frozen hot chocolate! VERY NICE!!!👍

Very relaxing place to visit and the coffee shop is excellent! 😁I highly recommend spending a few hours relaxing with a refreshment and browsing their large selection from books, magazines, toys and gifts! 😁

Wonderful place, they are remodeling which made it a challenge to find what you need but staff was there to assist. I know we live in this digital age but there is nothing better than a good book to curl up with. The remodeling is the reason they got 4 stars

I love this place! Best bookstore in Cookeville. They have a huge variety of genres to pick from and they also have bunch of novelties and accessories such as D&D sourcebooks, character plushes, action figures, etc. The employees are always super friendly, and are willing to help you find the items you are looking for. I always look forward to a stop here.

Books a Million is a wonderful place to visit! The store and staff are very LGBTQ+ and POC friendly and it’s selections are also very inclusive. The staff are wonderful people and respectful of pronouns, disabilities, races, religions, and genders. I always recommend BAM to all friends and the store is my favorite place to shop by far!Everything is always well organized and all books are pretty easy to find and have a large variety, including international novels such as, “No Longer Human” by Dazai Osamu, Manga, and even some books by some of my favorite Japanese books!

Nothing there that you could not get on Amazon for much much cheaper. You would think they would at least try to give their customers a break. But no, everything is full MSRP unless you buy their club, and then its only 10% off. Id rather wait 2 days and get it 33% off. Yes I know we pay $10 a month for prime and books a million club is only $25 for the year. But we also get prime video included for that $10 so we still make out better. Try harder BAM and maybe Ill buy from you.

Friendly staff, except for the heavy set lady who was helping me find a book. Said she was going to check the truck for a book. And just went outside and had a cigarette instead. Thats the only reason for the last star not on the rating. Store is wonderful.

Always a lovely place to visit, even if not purchasing anything. The smell of books, the trinkets they sell, its just a fun place to be at if you want to kill some time!

The staff here is great! Whenever I pay i always end up having a pleasant conversation about the book I bought with them. Their cafe also has delicious drinks and snacks to buy! Its a good place to sit down and relax, maybe read the first few pages of a book your thinking if getting to see if youll like it or not. I literally spend whole afternoon in this store and always want to take home all of its contents.

The only reason its getting 4 stars instead of 5 is the remodeling going on currently, which has made the layout a bit different than what Im used to, otherwise its a good place to find a huge selection of manga among other books

Great location for browsing through books!

Love the selection but they mark up prices a lot. I wanted to buy an interlinear greek Bible. It was $79 in the store new, I scanned the barcode and found the book actually goes for $29.99 new. I go there to browse books I want to buy, then scan the barcode and find where I can buy it at its actual price. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because at least they are useful for browsing.

The gentleman that was working there was great. My granddaughter was looking for a certain book. We couldnt find it. The young gentleman asked if we needed help finding anything. It was so nice for him to take us to the exact section. Too many people wont go that extra mile. Im sorry I didnt get his name.

This is the second issue i have had with BAM. Went almost 2 yrs ago to buy POPs they were having a big sale, did not clearly mark which ones were on sale (didnt even say select ones) had ones that werent on sale with the sale sign (not just a few, many). This was the first time i have been back because of the prior trip. Bought a few different things (including POPs) checking out one of the pops apparently wasnt supposed to come out yet (Not for 6 months) cashier took it away said we couldnt buy it. Told me how they are human & make mistakes then went back to trying to sell me on their membership. I declined the membership, paid the over 100 total, & said i wont be back. Found the same pop on Amazon for sale, not pre-order, available & cheaper. I understand you are a big store & my money wont be missed but get your act together.

Have been shopping here a couple of months. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Books, books and more books, thus BAM! 🙂 Take a look at the magazine aisle.

Pretty much the only place to get a huge variety of books in the Cookeville area. But they also have a coffee shop inside, 100s of magazines, comics, Funkos and action figures. Not a fan of the mask stuff but overall you cant beat it.

Very interesting store lots of cool stuff but hot coffee is very so-so luke warm and tastes a little bit like instant, great store but room for improvement, on the coffee.

First visit today went amazing. We found a few childrens books and a toy. Theres a huge selection of everything and anything plus some! Its definitely a must go to book store if youre in town. Very impressed!

Absolutely love the place. And what makes it better is that my kids love it too. Books, gadgets, toys, drinks, snacks and stuff for all ages! Prices are what they are, but still an amazing place to go and relax, find the book you need to read next for you and your family! They only thing I wish it had would be a few spots to cuddle next to my girl and read her a chapter.

Their business model is simple, treat customers with the utmost respect no matter what! You cant afford not to stop by and hang out for a little while!

Your average Books-A-Million. Good selection. No soap in men’s bathroom, not even a dispenser for the soap!!! Associates could be friendlier, reminded two times that they close in 15 minutes. I know how to read the sign at the door, one friendly 15-minutes reminder would suffice.

Great place for the book worm on your Christmas list

Friendly people and a good section of a variety of books. From kids learning books to adult fiction and from psychology to computer science books. It features a café with knowledgeable servers and an indoor and outdoor lounge/reading area.

Staff is always very friendly. Store is very well kept and pretty large also. Definitely the best Books-A-Million Ive been too!

I love this store. Amazing staff and selection of books. The coffee shop is good as well... when it is open. I seem to always catch it when it’s not. I do think it should be open the house the store is.

Its your typical corporate big box book store - lots of books, gifts, and a coffee shop - but not very many places to sit and read. Its actually very nice - exactly like the other 20 thousand or so other very nice corporate big box book stores that made independent book sellers as rare as Ivory Billed Woodpeckers. Still - very nice.

Great place to go look for books or gifts

One of the few brick and mortar stores left around to put your hands on a physical book. Prices are not fantastic unless you join the club. There is always a digital coupon out there to use. I just didnt enjoy the store as much as I used to. And I know you got to make money somehow with all the steep online competition. But, for the love of God, please stop pushing the 3 months free magazines on us at checkout. We know how that setup works. People forget to cancel at 3 months and credit cards get charged high subscription rates. Just stop.

Love this store, books are the one thing that computers will never be able to replace despite how they try. Nothing is like opening a new book and hearing the spine crack as you begin your journey into whatever world your book takes you. Reading is so special to me, there’s nothing like reading to your kids every nite at bedtime to promote a love for books that will hopefully last your child a lifetime. Thank you Booksmillion for keeping your brick & mortar stores open. The coffee shop inside also is a wonderful little stop for anyone, it has a large selection of more than just coffee. The most delicious desserts are always fresh and tasty too.
