Would give less if I could but the lady on phone was very rude and blunt. Kindness would work far better for them.
I frequent this location and it astounds me how busy they stay! This visit troubles me a bit because it was practically standing room only and there were only two ladies working. They were understaffed and got slammed with a room full of people. A dark haired lady was all over it and the other lady appeared understandably frustrated. So essentially, one lady was the key to keeping things moving! Prepare for a wait but be patient and hopefully theyll get these ladies some help! Nice location. Easy access from feeder road.
When I called to make a reservation to have a hitch installed, everything was great. Now between then and the day of the appointment, we had severe weather in Texas and everything closed, which I understand. What made me mad though, was when I called to make sure they were open and was told yes, me and my family drive on icy slick roads for the appointment, only to find out they were not open. They should have called those with reservations and given us new appointments and apologized. I understand why they werent open but the right thing to do would have been to call us to reschedule. We are trying to move across country and desperately need the hitch. Once everything gets squared away, I may change my rating but as of now, I think even 2 stars is too high.
This was the worse uhaul facility I have ever been to. The guy at the desk didn’t want to help us because he was too busy eating Oreo cookies. He was very rude and short. Then to make matters worse, when the guy Steven was checking the truck over, he was very short as well. He asked us to fold the blankets in the back of the truck because he didn’t want to do it👀. Very unprofessional and poor customer service.
I had great experience of renting out uHaul truck. The representative called me to confirm the pick up time. It was fast to check it. All rented equipment was ready for me. The return truck was even more easier.
The guy in hitching trailers acted like moving my uhaul was the worst thing ever. Pulled up to the area to UnHitch the trailer and asked if this was where I needed to go. The guy just makes hand signals to which I don’t understand. I ask again and he tells me to go out it over by the other trailers because it’s heavy to move and he is tired. I apologize and tell him I am not comfortable backing the trailer into tight spaces, I’ve done everything in my power to just pull it straight. After some back and forth he says fine and just goes back to the trailer. I get out to watch him angrily pull the plug and throw the safety chains around. He unhitch the trailer and just let it fall.I do not trust this individual or this business with any more of my equipment! I, thankfully got my endding receipts, but still would not do business!

Needed a propane bottle filled ut they have only one person certified and he wasnt working today. Her comment, Im so sorry theres none here to fill propane. Yeah, I still havent gone to certified.

Working in the apartment industry we thrive off customer service. I went in this morning looking only for a U-Haul unaware that they had climate controlled storage. I was greeted with a smile by Lisa, Great personality! Showed me the storage I would be renting if I chose U-Haul. The customer service was so great that I canceled my reservation for another storage and decided to go with them. Lisa came from behind her desk and pointed out and explained the box sizes and tape that may fit what I need and sure enough everything fit perfect. Came back for my remote and the ladies knew me by name. Jackie and Shelli were amazing as well! Definitely would recommend this place. Love the customer service!!!!! 5 star!!!!

I rented a trailer from this location, very happy with the service I received. I had to postpone my rental multiple times and they couldnt have been more accommodating. The trailer itself was built like a tank, I had no worries about its sturdiness. When I returned the trailer they did make me back it into an impossibly small space, but the guy waited patiently while I shunted and shuffled the trailer into position.
I have NEVER had a bad experience here. Andrea, the manager, is one of the nicest people that you will meet. Heather is one of her great helpers and super friendly. Ian was such a wonderful help today and so happy that we had his strength. All of you guys are AWESOME!!!!

We went in this morning needing to rent a uhaul truck and the service was phenomenal! Andrea was so helpful! We got our truck, a dolly and she even hooked it up with some boxes they were needing to throw out. Quick, painless and awesome. Highly recommend!!
I recently visited this Uhaul location and was amazed with the customer service especially during this time of crisis. They were very helpful with what i needed to move out of my apartment. would highly recommend renting from them. andrea was so much help along with max helping me with checking in.

The equipment was the best part of this experience. I can’t stress this enough. The dolly and U-Haul truck made my moving experience great! This should have been a 5 star experience,unfortunately it turned out to be the opposite. I reserved my U-Haul ahead of time despite several of my friends strongly insisting this location had customer service issues. When all is said and done, I have no discrepancies with the price. Policy stated that the location must reserve my card on file, no problem. The issue began after a hold was placed on my account. It may seem trivial to some but I budget my account very carefully. Bills/ groceries became a snowball of headaches for the next few days. I was very clear that my method of payment was cash. In the end the bill was paid. 80.83, in cash. I still have a hold on my account. Regardless of protocol, your customer service with this issue and inability to properly inform a paying customer of your procedure has made this first time customer say never again. I will suggest to everyone I know to use other moving services.
Called to ask if they do trailer hitch installs the the guy that answers the phone is very rude and could not and would not look up the number for a u-hall that does do installs.
We had to come to this location when we needed the most help on the road. The people here did not have to help us, it was raining and a Sunday. The staff here were the most helpful, I am grateful that the employees came out when we did not have the ability to change out a spare tire. Thank you so much for the kind help.
I am amazed by the entitled folks that complain about how successful this business is. And how their posteriors where not sufficiently kissed.Bad news for them is I will be back and will send my friends thus adding to the busy pace there.Garrett worked like a man possessed to get my hitch installed and wiring done. Which he did with masterful skill.Phylicia was busy helping 2 to 3 customers at a time but still managed to be very welcoming and reassuring.I am not a satisfied customer, I am a delighted customer.Keep up the great work and dont listen to the haters
I reserved the largest moving truck and a car hauler. I went the day before to make sure everything would be in order so I would have no problems the next day. During this visit, I found out that there was no truck available. I then drive my own vehicle 30 miles to pick up a truck at another store. I then drove that truck 30 miles back to pick up a car trailer and then drive both back to pick up my car and place it on the trailer and then back to my house. In all, I drove 120 miles and spent 4 hours of my own time and fuel in the U-Haul Truck, which cost about $40. I wa stood that I would be given a $50 credit at the return of the Truck. I also paid a $60 deposit on the car hauler. I dropped off both the date and time I was supposed to. The next day I was called asking when I would be returning the trailer and I explained to them that it was already turned in and they needed to check their lot, which they obviously hadn’t! Then only to find that instead of crediting my card $110, $50 for the extra miles and time on my part and the trailer deposit, I was CHARGED $30.88 to my card. I am still waiting to hear back from the manager.

I would not recommend this place. I put in a reservation for a trailer, end up to find out the day of that they did not have a trailer on site. They said they would try to find another one at another store when most of the stores are closed on Sunday. I did not want to go out of my way as my storage unit was a few miles aways from this location, so I end up asking for a Van as that was the next alternative. They did nothing to try and accommodate the fact they did not have what I wanted for my reservation. Very unprofessional location.
Getting a trailer hitch installed on my wifes SUV and have to wait for the install here at Uhaul. I have to say, the people working here are just fantastic to work with and have the best attitudes. They have already offered me coffee, are working with me to minimize my bill, and overall just seem to enjoy keeping the customer happy. I am really impressed.
This place runs at a snails pace. Don’t come and expect to be in and out within any certain period of time because it could be a half hour wait in line or longer. They have plenty of equipment, but definitely not enough employees to run the office.
Oct 28, 2017, placed order with Christopher Gonzalez (CG), the GM, for a tow hitch for our 2012 Lexus RX350. He said he should have the parts in shortly. After two weeks called numerous times being told CG would call back NEVER CALLED. Went in before Thanksgiving and after a long time told us the hitch was in but not the wiring. Went back in Dec 4 and again after a long time CG said part was in another Houston location, then found out it was not. He said he would have it expressed delivered and would call Wednesday or Thursday. NEVER CALLED. Went in Friday and he said it just came in and set up an appointment for 1pm Saturday, Dec 9th. Brought it in and came back around 3:30 and NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE. NEVER TRUST THEM DO DO ANYTHING. The next week I called Texas Hitch in Conroe, and they said they would have the parts the next day and would install the following. TEXAS HITCH did a great and timely job.

Needed a motorcycle trailer so got one at this location and it was great. The equipment is decent and good, and it was pretty quick to get it for a low price.
Dropped off a trailer my Dad had rented in North Texas. Staff very friendly and professional and they thanked my Dad for his years of service in the U.S. Army. Will use thisocation again if the need arises. Have recommended to others already.
If I could leave zero stars I would. This review is to reflect U-Haul in a whole along with my experience at this location. I scheduled a trailer originally at another location online and after booking the reservation I received a call back to tell me that location will not have my trailer and Id have to pick it up from another location. So I changed locations. After changing locations I received a call right back saying that locations will not be open on the date we scheduled so I needed to change locations once again. So we searched the 7 locations closest to me going as far as a 20 minute drive out. Finally after being on the phone for an hour I asked if I could pick it up the day prior instead and she said sure. I receive a phone call a few days later to confirm my appointment and I wanted to make sure Uhaul knew that my Dad was going to be the one picking up the trailer since I had to work. They said they didnt have me at that location that my reservation was for a different location. You can imagine how upset I was to hear this considering everything I had gone through to make this reservation. So after explaining everything Holy was SUPER helpful in changing my reservation back to Sunday but in order to do so she had to change the location to Conroe (20 minute drive from me). I agreed because this seemed to be my only option. Holy saved the day for me (at least so I thought)! Sunday, September 1, 2019 I arrived at the Conroe location 35 minutes before my reservation. I got there and 7 people were in line before me and there was NO A/C! IT WAS EASILY CLOSE TO 90 DEGREES INSIDE OF THE BUILDING!!! THIS IS TEXAS AND ITS SUMMER! I felt horrible for the employees. The poor lady at the front counter was sweating. She was on the phone reporting the issue to her boss it seemed like. I waited about 45 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment before the lady helped me. I should note that while in line a gentlemen skipped the line because he made a reservation on the app and it told him he could do this. So I thought heck let me try this. I go to try it and they had my scheduled appointment at another locations so I couldnt even utilize this feature. And my finally complaint is I thought when you rent from Uhaul you are able to have it for 24 hours. They made me return it by midnight! This was INSANE! I had the trailer for less than 12 hours!!!THIS HAS BEEN THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH UHAUL. In the future I will not be choosing to use Uhaul.

Made an appoint to have a hitch installed for the next day. The day of the appointment I got there 30 minutes early only to stand in line for 45 minutes. They only had 2 guys working the front counter and they were as slow as watching grass grow. Finally I got up to the counter only to have Wyatt tell me he didnt have all the parts in stock!!! His partner Phillip took his sweet ass time helping one customer for 45 minutes. This store is a joke! Dont waist your time here. Poorly managed and poorly trained people.
Sundays are busy for everyone but only having 1 person behind the counter is just ridiculous! We have been in line for 20 minutes and the people in front of us are hitting 45 minutes in line, just waiting to check out. Why purchase supplies online to have to WAIT IN LINE!? Absolutely insane. For the other staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off, or are just maintenance and I have nothing to do with that it outright a waste of our time. U-Haul, either give this store more employee hours to man this location or SHUT IT DOWN.
Terrible! I rented from here for just a couple of hours so I could move a couple of larger items right down the road. I pre paid for 20 miles, but I only used 6. I was told that whatever I didnt use would be refunded back to me. I returned the truck after hours and mistakenly did not take a picture of the mileage, so when I called to ask when I would be refunded the difference they told me that the mileage was read at exactly 20 miles!! I asked if there was anything they could do to help me because I guarantee that I did not use that much and they told me no, not without proof! Most definitely do not recommend this location.
Returned a truck at the end of the day. Forget something of mine in it. Tried to call that day but they were closed. Went there today (4/19/2019) asked if they had seen it. One of the employees started looking but didn’t ask for a description of the item. The one employee that had helped me the previous day said in a very snarky tone “I haven’t seen it.” Would not recommend even to my worse enemy. Worst uhaul experience I have ever had.

Tonight is twice that I planned on stopping by on my way home to fill my propane bottle after a long 12 hour day. Twice I heard that the ONE guy that can fill tanks isnt there. Great, no shower, dinner, or heat for me! If your going to sell propane, train everyone to sell it! Poor customer service.

Ive rented from uhaul more times than I can count and generally with the same mediocre experience. every employee here is on the same page about putting the customer first. wish I could say the same about corporate. I requested 2 U Boxes and a trailer. After loading 1 U Box I wanted to cancel the 2nd. They cancelled the first contract and told me the $200 would be refunded. Then they created a new contract and charged me another $200. While creating this new contract, they wrote it up for 2 U Boxes again, but forgot to include the delivery order. I wanted 1 U Box with delivery. They told me thats what they had written it up for, showed me the paperwork, and everything looked good. But thats not what the computer remembers.On the due date for delivery I noticed I hadnt been charged for fuel ($1075). I called and discovered that my cargo was still sitting here in TX. I went sideways on them (politely) and they shipped it to my destination.Sort of.Currently the box is both here and in transit. There are two contracts for the same box, and yes, they tried to double-charge me for the fuel ($2150). They still havent refunded the original $200, but have refunded half of the 2nd contract ($100) that should have been for 1 U Box, not 2.Theyre so late at this point that they owe me a $450 refund on the fuel charges even if they call today and tell me my stuff is available and to come get it. By the estimated delivery date on the open contract that claims the box is in transit, theyll owe me $750 in refunds, plus the initial $200.I think when its all said and done were going to host a U Haul party. Thats a costume bash where everyone shows up as their favorite idiot. I expect lots of presidential masks, historical figures, etc. And at least one person in a U Haul uniform, of course.Oh, the trailer: they hooked it up incorrectly. So during towing, the electrical snagged on something and was destroyed (my plug is intact and working, thankfully). The tow chains also both **snapped**. Im not sure how thats even possible. Were they made of paper or something equally durable? Its a good thing the hitch itself was so sturdy. With all of the potholes road crews have installed on our nations roads, Im amazed it stayed attached to the hitch. But it did, and there was zero breakage inside.
I was told they had 2 people to fill propane, O sat for 48 minutes just for staff to come tap my window and say they cant. Just go to tractor supply across the way.
Called this location talked to a female about a receiver hitch for my van gave her all the information on my vehicle she said they had a receiver hitch in stock i told her i would be in later that day to pick it up. when i arrived talked to a female she told me i would have to speak to the man working in the shop he knew how to look it up walked out to the shop ask the first employee in the shop about the hitch he said i would have to speak to the man installing a hitch i told him i just needed to pick the hitch up not have it installed he said he did not know how to look it up ask the other employee told me i would have to what Intel he was finished . walked back inside a different employee ask if he could help me told him he did not know how to look it up. after about 20 min the only employee out of five that knew howto look it up told me they did not have it in stock the person that looked it up for me looked up the wrong hitch when i told him the price she told me. called u haul about the problems at this location never heard back from them. got the hitch from Orileys auto parts at a better price.

5:49 pm I got LIED TO by the corporate offices when I tried to talk to someone regarding an overcharge for supplies only.They told me that the store was already closed and no one was available to speak to me. It is not even 6pm and the store hours posted show 7pmI was told that the difference would be credited back to my card but it hasnt been yet.I was overcharged and when I called to get the situation fixed they told me that the store was closed.

We rented four of their large pod-like boxes for our move to the area. Even though we received confirmation from their driver that she picked up all four boxes, this location keeps billing us for one of the boxes. We have called multiple times, and each time they say that the problem has been fixed. Then, a few days later, we receive another bill. Im almost to the point of either getting the BBB involved or contacting an attorney. Do not use this location!

Plan to spend at least an hour and half here in you stop by in the morning. We came in at 9:51am and left around 11:35am. The wait in line was long but customer service rep was very helpful and knowledgeable.
I called on May 28 to see if I owed them money. The girl said I dont know I will look it up and call you back. She didnt call. The next Monday I called again to make sure I didnt owe. Girl on phone said no you have a refund coming. So I said I would pick up. I waited a few days and called back girl said yes have a refund I said coming to get it. Got there girl said no it was refunded to you credit card on May 27 2015. Upset that I drove from Houston and all concerned didnt give correct info. Spoke to manager who could care less about helping me then said he did not have a supervisor over him. I called 1888 go Uhaul. There I spoke to three difererent Customer service people who assured me my refund would be mailed. As of June 23 I still do not have it. I would not recommend this company. Possibly Budget Rental would have been a better choice.
U-Haul in general is a POS company designed to squeeze every nickle out of you. To reduce human error (and potentially getting charged out the azz), do yourself a favor and perform all vehicle orders online. Coming to this location was a gigantic fup and inconvenience.
Fine when we started, but ended up with extra charges, now they wont return my calls. We picked up U-boxes from this location and the people there were relatively helpful in getting everything set. The problem came after our 2 boxes had been shipped to our new town. I got an email with a receipt for charge for storage of a third box, with the receipted dated 2 weeks ago. I have been calling the location to get a refund, and without fail for 4 days my call is transferred to the Uhaul service center, and they just tell me I need to speak to the location. They send the manager a message and tell me hell call but he never does. I even got transferred to his voicemail, left a message, and have not received a call back after 2 days. Completely unprofessional and unhelpful.
This place is completely unprofessional. We reserved a 26ft truck and were told that it would have to be picked up at the 242 location. Made a call the night before pickup and was then told that it would be at the I45 location. Showed up at the I45 location only to be told that the 26 ft truck sitting in the parking lot was reserved by someone else and that our truck was at the 242 location. Then called the gouhaul number and was told that they were not allowed to hold that truck for someone else and they should rent it to us. She also informed us that there wasnt a 26 ft. truck at the 242 location.The gouhaul employee then called the I45 location to inform them of this and they told her that truck was down for maintenance. So basically they lied. We then told the liar that we didnt want his truck and they would never get our business again. Stay away from the I45 location. Very unorganized, unprofessional, and dishonest.

Lacking in customer service, did my online check in. Young man asking me all the same questions the online check in had me go thru. Told him I took care of it online, it seemed to agitate him that I asked. Then pointed to the truck, dolly at the door . Not thank you, be safe, happy trails, kiss my butt!I have been using you guys longer than that young man, with glasgla, redish hair. An artist drawing on his paperwork, made mention how good it was. Very non chalant! He needs to be behind the lines, not your greeter!
My husband and I were moving and this place is so easy to get what you need and has everything for moving plus we had to get a truck and we were able to leave our car there while we used it thanks guys you made our move so easy
Went in to rent a trailer to pick up donations after our home burnt down and we lost everything. Last time I rented the $18 trailer, and with insurance and everything, the total came to about $36. This time, the trailer hitch connection wasnt working correctly on one side, and the blinker on one side of the trailer would not work. We came in to rent a regular uhaul to get the donations, and the only available size was the one for $29.95. The guy said we had unlimited miles so the estimated total came to $89, which was a bit steep but considering me and my kids lost everything and had no other way to get the donations, we shorted our hotel stay to make sure we had the funds. This morning we returned the truck and they now informed me that I was being charged for mileage, that it is built in to the rate. They charged $104 dollars to my card, and now me and my 6 kids ages 3 months to 10 years old are sitting in my car planning to sleep in the car tonight because the money Uhaul swindled out of us was the money to pay for the hotel tonight. Thanks Uhaul. Awesome customer service and communication .
I have been to this location three different times to get my propane tanks refilled and each time I was told that no trained tech was available. Unbelievable that on a weekend there are no trained propane techs.

Worst UHaul experience ever.So going from uhaul to uhaul trying to find a truck after the first one said they had one but I get there it was gone, I get to this one and lucky me they had one. So I tell them I want it but Ill be back in a hour or two to get it because I had to pick up someone to drive my vehicle. Did all the paperwork left on my way. Get back 2 hours later Im good to go, return the vehicle 50 minutes before the time I picked it up and they charged me an extra day. What they didnt do when I first rented the vehicle was reserve it but in fact rented it as gone the first time I went there. And now they dont want to hear the situation just only that the paperwork showed a departure of two hours earlier not that they made a mistake on making the rental. The manager on shift was good with details but is a robot with no thought capability or care for that matter.

I been trying to get a trailer hitch installed at this location for several weeks now. I ordered the hitch and made an appointment for installation. They did call and cancel that install. I have now called them 5 times where no one can tell me anything about when the hitch might be in. They have promised to call me back each time and Ive never been contacted.They installed another hitch on another car for me some time ago and that installation was done improperly and had to be redone. The only other time I dealt with this store I also had a problem that took well over an hour to resolve in the store with the manager.Try to avoid.

Get here to find out they dont have my truck. Now they want me to waste 1 hr + milage and gas. Misinformed person behind counter says they only can have a certain amount of trucks. So I guess I got bumped

Any one who applied here will be sorry because management sucks and also everyone expect the hard workers to do all there work for them so I would not recommend the location to any one as I just quit that location for them dumping all there work on me
