Had trouble with my new embroidery machine. Took it in and they solved the issue I was having with my stabilizer. Great service. I have bought many machines from them always always great service. Highly recommended
I had spent a good month reviewing different machines based on what I was wanting. It was after five years I decided to buy a machine that sewed, embroidered and quilted. I had gone to many locations but Janice Broussard is the individual who sold me my machine. She has been sewing since she was five years old. There was no question I had that she did not have the answer. She was cheerful, informative and very patient:) I just finished my first hour class of instruction with her Janice and I couldnt be happier. I would highly recommend this location and especially taking the time to seek out Janice for any questions you may have.:)
My sister lives in South Texas. She wanted to buy a Juki Sewing Machine. (Not available in her area of Texas). I walk into Sewing And Vac and there it was! The machine my sister wanted. Sewing and Vac was able to match the price from a store in Austin. Janice was the salesperson who assisted me. She was professional, courteous, very personable and always had a smile. I paid for the machine, she loaded it in my car and away I went. My sister has her machine now. She is happy with it.
Immediate help, answered all my questions, directed me to everything I was needing. Fast, efficient help with purchasing my first embroidery machine. Gave extras with my purchase. Extended warranty and discount on future purchases was much appreciated. Very friendly staff.
Janice helped me with buying my first NEW sewing machine and she was very informative with the machine and overall knowledge of products and fabrics. Caroline has also been a big assistance with helping on fabrics and how the machinery works…can’t wait to use the long arm for some of my upcoming quilting projects! They are both always eager to help, very pleasant and I look forward to future trips there.
Everyone is soo nice and helpful there. Especially Manager Tammy & James, the ones that helped me with my MC14000 purchase. They also sell fabric, thread and all kinds of notions.
I just want to vent about a salesperson at the Conroe store. I am a frequent customer and work closely with the staff with Quilts of Valor, which the store so generously supports. Every other salesperson there, except James, remembers me when I come in. I understand that they may not know my name but they know that I come in often. today he followed me around the store trying to help me with fabric choices. I kindly explained that I didnt need his help, but he was insistent that he was going to help me. He also pesters me about buying a sewing machine. I have told him so many times that I do not need a new machine. I purchased one from the other store and I also have another Janome. Today, he didnt know about certain quilting merchandise that I was looking at. I realize that he is a salesman for the sewing and vacuum machines and is probably very comfortable with those items, but his pushiness keeps me from going into the store except on the QoV days. I understand that you are losing Carolyn; that saddens me. he is even worse on days when she isnt in the store.
I came here two times before I bought my very first sewing machine. The lady who helped me is Janice. I got a lot of great knowledge from her. While I was there, customers comes in all the time. They have a wide selection of sewing machines, accessories and most things you will need. I would say do your homework before you come in to buy, it will also saves a lot of energy and time! Because sometimes they can be pretty busy.
Very helpful and knowledgeable!! Fixed my machine while I waited!!
Wow! Just when I thought I had completely sourced all of the quilt shops in my area I found S&VW of Conroe! I originally came in because I broke a foot on my sewing machine - and met Janice- the most well informed associate I’ve ever met at a machine shop. I could not believe the aisles of quilt fabric this store offered! Within two visits Janice showed me how my dream of owning an actual, professional sewing machine could come true- and today I am the proud owner of a JANOME sewing machine!!! They offer thousands of bolts of fabric, supplies for long arm and domestic machines, vinyl and cutting machine supplies, classes, various financing options, and so much more! I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with this shop! Go see Janice at S&VW of Conroe- you won’t regret it!
I purchased a Janome 9450 sewing machine in February. Janice was wonderful with answering all my questions. I love my new sewing machine and will continue to shop here.
I spent a few thousand dollars in the store and was told I would receive training on the machine. The minute we got it loaded we were told, oh no, you just go to YouTube and you will learn all you need to know. Its been 3 months and the machine is still not adjusted or working. Ive gone in person and been made to feel like I am such a bother. NEVER again. Not another dime.
After 40 years my Kenmore went kaput. I was very intimidated by the newer computerized machines, but that ended once I spent a little time at the Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse. They took time to understand my needs, help me to gain comfort and find the perfect new machine. Thank you!
They have a wide variety of machines. The sales people are very knowledgable. I love my machine and thier follow up care is amazing
I absolutely love this store. It is definitely the place to go for all your sewing needs. Wish I had bought my Janome 11000 from them. Their service department is wonderful, too!
I recently graduated from a 1956 sewing machine to a beautiful new Janome purchased at this store and am still in awe at all the incredible things it can do! I cant say enough positive things about James, the salesman and all the wonderful employees that are so helpful. They have an excellent selection of fabric and sewing needs plus all the newest and greatest things to make sewing so much fun. They teach a myriad of classes to help you discover all the wonderful things your machine will do plus making fun things for gifts, etc. Tricia, one of the instructors is so helpful and patient and shes eager to help with any problems or questions you may have! I encourage you to drop in - I promise youll be delighted!
Many thanks to Carolyn for teaching me how to use my new Janome. Awesome store!
I am so happy with my new Janome DC2019 machine. It is way better than I expected and has made sewing pleasurable. The experienced staff is very knowledgeable and they definitely work with you to make sure you are satisfied. I was only going to do a price check but I new immediately this was the machine for me. I highly recommend you check them out first!
I purchased the Brother Dream Machine at this store about 5 years ago. This store has helped me learn the software and the operation of the machine. This store has it all! Beautiful fabrics, any kind of sewing machine you might want, classes for all sorts of interests and a great staff and fabulous store manager. These people know their stuff. Every time I visit I feel like I am with a group of old friends. :)
Had a fantastic experience in purchasing my Janome 8200 Se. Debbie was very patient in answering all my questions and was very knowledgeable. Great store and staff. Lots of fabric and sewing machines.
Janice, was awesome in get me the right information
I recently purchased a Janome 9450 from them and they are the best place for all of your sewing needs! They are super helpful and take the time to answer your questions! Thank you for the wonderful service!
Had a great experience buying my new Janome sky machine. Debby was great at showing/ demonstrating all the machine in my budget range . I can’t wait to schedule my free class to learn more
I am a new customer of Sew & Vac Warehouse. I certainly wish I had understood what they have to offer before now.I was looking for a smaller, portable Janome sewing machine. I was impressed by how many choices I had and how well each machines features were explained to me. It appears the machines are a price controlled item but the extras that Sew & Vac offer with each purchase certainly puts them above their competition. I was extremely please with the store and the sales staff.I was thrilled to find a great selection of name brand quilting fabric priced with at least a 30% discount.
My wife and I have been here multiple times and never gotten any help....the owner has always been a bit rude and snobby....shes definitely where the new Karen manager hair cut jokes come from....you know the type....stuck up attitude or little miss better than you. We were In there the other day looking at a 500 dollar machine and couldnt even get anyone to answer our questions.
Love this place! I took a few classes there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed my time there. The staff was exceptionally nice and very knowledgeable and helpful! I don’t live close but I definitely will be come back to this store for my sewing needs.
Just took my wife to purchase a replacement sewing machine. I will just say WOW!..... Thank you for the great customer service...
I got a machine for my Daughter and they where so helpful. My Daughter sews purses and that heavy duty machine work like a dream. They knew just the one she needed.
James is an excellent sales person and they have a big variety
I had take my new machine in for repair due to user error. Paul was able to repair my machine, test to make sure the sewing and embroidery were working properly and had it ready for me to take home with me instead of making an extra trip. I live in San Antonio and am in Houston once a month. This is what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE. I realize that this cannot always be accomplished, especially with new techology and service always on the move, and many machines needing service, but I wanted everyone to know how appreciative I am that Paul was able to take care of this issue as quickly as he did.I stitched out the zipper design when I got home and it stitched out perfect!!!Thank you Ken for fantastic CUSTOMER SERVICE and for having wonderful personnel. Thank you Carolyn. A great big Thank You to Paul for making me a very happy embroiderier.
Everyone here is so nice and helpful and they always have what I need.
I stopped in the Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse in Conroe recently and was amazed at the store. They had a large selection of sewing machines and vacuums along with all accessories and the store was clean and neat. I wanted to try using an embroidery machine and had no idea of what to look for in a machine or even how to use it. Tricia was there to help and had no problem answering all of my questions. She is very knowledgeable. I bought a machine and am happy that I have the machine but also that I can go back or call with any questions I have. The continued service after the sale is a huge plus! Stop in and chat with Tricia and you won’t be disappointed with the great customer service.
Todds hospitality and genuine love for his clients made me feel comfortable in choosing the perfect machine to fit my needs. Todd spent countless hours working to get the best sewing machine possible within my budget. I was pleased to know that such courtesy, patience and friendly customer service still exist! Todd, you are truly amazing! I definitely look forward to doing business with them again.
I just purchased my first sewing and embroidery machine here. The service was excellent. They were very knowledgeable about all the machines and tried to help me get the features I wanted within my budget. I am happy with my choice and cant wait to get started!
Thank you Debbie for helping my husband and I with our purchase of my new sewing machine!
I was given an older embroidery machine and knew nothing about what I would need to get started using it. I went to this store and the staff was helpful and informative. They have all supplies you may need and a really vast array of threads. I love their Tuesday special on threads. I would recommend for beginners or those that have been sewing or embroidering for years.
Such a great place to shop, take classes, and get help from wonderful helpful people that make you feel at home!
I purchased my last sewing machine in 1975. Trisha and I discussed the kind of sewing I do and the features I thought I wanted. We started by looking at 3 models from each of the brands carried in the store. I felt quite comfortable asking questions and didnt ever feel rushed. She demonstrated various features of each and pointed out the differences between the models. She told me about the machines used at the quilt show, the clearance machines and explained the discounted prices. I did purchase a machine after comparing several models. She fully explained the warranty, the buy back program, the importance of annual tune-ups. We went through the Users Guide to make sure all accessories and attachments were included. A free one hour class is offered to help me learn how to use the machine. I decided to shop here because of the recommendations from friends. I was extremely satisfied with my experience and am looking forward to taking classes from them.
Going to this store is so much fun. The employees are always upbeat and helpful, the material is beautiful, the machines are fantastic and they have all the supplies and accessories that go with them. To top that off they have classes and clubs to fellowship with others that like to sew; not to mention the great prices!
I recently had an issue with my elder embroidery machine. The microprocessor is too small to accept todays more elaborate files. As I had already purchased the new files, I needed help it getting these designs readable. Tricia, in the Conroe store, was quickly able to make my problem go away. She provided the expert help needed to get me on my way. As I was in the process of making a memory quilt as a gift, I did not want to abandon the project. Tricia, thank you so much for your help and positive attitude.
I took the Floriani class today!! The class was Awesome!! The instructor and employees were VERY HELPFUL!!! I learned so many new techniques with my software!!!!
I came in with my sister to compare prices from another vendor. I was very pleased with the help I received from Tricia. She explained all the features and was willing to match the price. After looking at another brand I felt it was a much better fit to me and I purchased it. The patience and help I was given meant a lot to me.
The service here was great! Tricia was very knowledgeable and helped us make a great decision. She was VERY patient and answered all the questions I had. She even let us play with the machine and sew and embroider a few things :) We cannot wait to make all kinds of gifts and things. We are even thinking we might be able to make a little extra $$$ on the side by doing some projects for others. Cant wait to become a pro! My husband made his initials with a shark! He is a pro now!
The atmosphere is pleasant, inviting and non-condescending. The presentation is a no hassle presentation. The layaway option makes upgrades to your current equipment very tangible. Chris was very personable, as well as the others, but he stands out as an asset to both the business and the specific location. Thanks Chris for the experience! It was really worth the 18 miles I drove to get there. See you again soon.
I appreciated the help Tricia gave me when I recently stopped in to get an idea what embroidery machines are available. She focused on finding out what I wanted in a machine first, not just in making a sale. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. I look forward to taking the classes soon and feel comfortable knowing she is a resource if I experience problems or have questions.
My daughter got a Brother Project Runway Limited Edition sewing machine for Christmas, and she just took a class with Brenda to learn how to use it. Brenda was phenomenal! She was so thorough, patient, and sweet. I was extremely impressed! I learned a lot too, and Ive been sewing for about 35 years! I would highly recommend this company and Brenda!
I had a great experience at this store! Tricia is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions patiently and completely! As a result, I purchased my first ever new in a box Brother Sewing Machine. I am already looking forward to my next visit to this store and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a sewing machine. Great staff & store!
I have been dealing with Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse since 2005. I have purchased 3 machines from them and have been very happy. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to the knowledge and help with sewing machines they have monthly class for the machines. These classes help you learn your machine and also projects for quilting, embroidery, cross stitch, and sewing.Debbie M.
Before purchasing my new machine I visited the store a few times and each time Tricia and Paul were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They helped me pick the right machine to meet my needs and their prices are competitive. I would definitely recommend visiting them before you purchase anywhere else.
Tricia and Cody were wonderful at helping me through my decision dilemmas. I hadnt bought a sewing machine in 30 years, and Tricia showed me what machines were available and how much they have changed in that time. Cody was wonderful at demonstrating all the bells and whistles of my new vacuum cleaner. Im elated with both purchases and will definitely be a repeat customer.
My husband and I were shopping to replace my sewing/embroidery machine because of a software issue I was having. Tricia was very helpful in assisting us. Her knowledge of all the different machines and her patience with all of our questions, helped me decide on the perfect machine for me.
I recently made my second purchase from this company. First a serger, and today an embroidery machine. I love this place! The staff is beyond knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful and friendly. They treat a customer right! And their prices are phenomenal! Need a new sewing machine or serger or embroidery machine? Go here first! You won’t need yo go anywhere else. And Carolyn at the Conroe store is absolutely awesome... the best!Oh yeah... they have gorgeous fabric and the best of needle crafting essentials! You’ll love it.
The Sewing Machine Warehouse is an excellent place to buy a new sewing machine. I purchased a Janome 5S and was very pleased with the service I received. The people there were very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me with my choice and purchase. I know if I need any further help I will get it from them.
I had a large project due in a few days when my old Singer sewing machine decided not to work. I had it tuned up and parts replaced about 12 months ago, by a small company close to home, and was surprised it needed further repair. I was frantic, no one would answer the phone at the Sawdust repair store, so I began my search to have it repaired as fast as possible. I called Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse in Conroe and spoke with Ken. He was absolutely wonderful, he calmed me down asked me to bring the machine in that afternoon so he could run a few tests to see if the problem could be repaired right then. Unfortunately it wasnt so simple, BUT I paid for the quick turn around repair, and now have my machine repaired almost three days earlier than I expected! I am thrilled, Ken is awesome! I appreciate his kindness, knowledge and profession attitude.I will recommend him, and this store as a 5 star experience!
I am normally an online shopper. Honestly, this doesnt work well for sewing machines! Its better to try out the machine and see if you get along well. After purchasing a machine from an online vendor 2 years ago I went to Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse for some accessories. I started looking at machines, and boy, I realized my online purchased machine was not a good choice for me. The helpful staff, Richard and Tricia, aided me in choosing a new machine that meets all my needs. The price was equal to any online prices, so I cant honestly see any reason to purchase a machine online. Better to touch it and try it out.
Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse is a huge store and the staff is extremely nice and eager to help you in any way they can. They sell a huge selection of sewing machines and vacuum cleaners. They also do repairs at a very reasonable cost. I have bought two sewing machines, one serger and one vacuum cleaner from Ken and recommended several others to buy from him also. Trish is the store manager and she is a delight to be around. We started having our Golden Needles Quilt Guild workshops in their classroom and everyone loves it. The classroom has bright lights and plenty of electric plugs for our machines. They also have lots of sewing supplies in case we run out of something.
I have been to the Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse in Conroe on two occasions and both times found what I was looking for and a staff that was friendly and knew their products. I was recently looking for a new vacuum but have all hardwood floors with throw rugs. Tricia helped me find just the right one at a reasonable price and I couldnt be more pleased with what I got. Today with so many box stores around its really nice to go a place that has a real live person to help you. I would recommend the Sewing and Vacuum warehouse to anyone.
The service and staff are exceptional. I had three machines serviced and cleaned there. I returned with two of them to get help and was amazed at the undivided attention given to me and my machines. Pleasantly surprised that the cost of this minor adjustment was part of the fee I paid when having those machines serviced and cleaned. A GREAT place to trade.
Sara at this store was very informative. She understood the machine I was interested in and did not pressure me to purchase. She answered all my questions and was helpful. I have used this store on several occasions and was always treated with respect and with patience.
First off Tricia is WONDERFUL! Her knowledge and the customer service she provides are exceptional!!! Although I did not purchase my machine from them (purchased years prior to them coming to Conroe) they have always been extremely helpful with an question or concern I had have had, plus their parts and repair cost have been fair and speedy. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
I am glad to find a new friendly Business. All of the assistants were very polite, professional and responsible to assist me in ordering some very difficult parts for two different pieces of equipment. Cody, Trish were very helpful. It is always good when you find folks you can trust.
The staff is always ready to answer questions about any of the machines they sell. I have previously purchased two machines and a cabinet from them. They make sure you are comfortable with your machine. I have taken a class and was quite pleased with the information I received. There was no pressure to purchase anything else. I am so glad theyve opened up this location.
I am over 70 and new to sewing. Decided to take the plunge!Tricia patiently explained my options, and help me choose from their outstanding selection of sewing machines.Cody (sp?) has also been very helpful when I have been in the store or called the service department for assistance. Will definitely buy here again!
I have been shopping at the Conroe location for several years now. I have purchased a commercial embroidery machine, along with all the accessories. I received excellent customer service, solid training & they were very competitive on price. They are my go to place for anything embroidery related (stabilizer, threads, hoops, etc)! So glad they have two locations! (:
I just love the Conroe location!! Thet are very helpful and are not at all pushy into buying anything. I bought my tabletop sewing machine and my HQ Simply Sixteen Longarm and when Ive had any issues they took care of it asap. They also have a large variety of material!! Really good material!!! Just today in taking a class so they really offer everything your quilting needs need!!! Awesome store and customer service!!!
I stopped by several times and test drove several types and brands of machines for quilting. Trisha and I talked through how I preferred to sew and I chose a quilting sewing machine over a longarm. After determining what I could spend she showed me the machine that fit all we talked about. I love the machine and have made 8 quilts since my purchase.
Great customer service! Chris was very helpful in helping us find an upgrade to our old sewing machine. He was very helpful and also very knowledgeable in all the products. Thanks for the help and we will be returning again!
Im about to start my sewing hobby. I decided to visit this place, gotta say AWESOME, from the time I get inside and all the information I got, the display, the staffs, even got a short training how to operate 3 of the sewing machines ;) I think i like, without she (Tricia) even know whether Im going to buy it or not. I end up buying the used 1 in a great conditions, as we can always go back & upgrade it anytime with their great deal! Tried few times already, good buy with Tricias help on choosing it...
I went to buy an embroidery machine and they were very knowledgeable on all the machines in their store and extremely helpful. After I brought my machine home I started having some problems with what I was embroidering and they had me come in and explained everything to me!
Great products- both new and previously owned, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good fabric selection, lowest priced backing fabrics around, easy parking!
What a great experience! Tricia answered all my questions, and I had a bunch. Because she took the time to work with me, I bought an amazing sewing/embroidery machine that I wouldnt have if she had not made me feel so comfortable with the investment.
***Update***After the 7 week mark came and I still hadnt heard anything, I had enough. I called and said Im picking up my machine. There was NO PROGRESS made on my machine. NONE! In 7 weeks!I went to Eastex Sewing Machine Co down on 1960. Instead of 3 week time estimate (which this place clearly did not meet), I got the call within 48 hours that my machine was ready for pickup. 48 hours for the job to be completely done.... Versus 7 weeks for absolutely nothing.....On top of all that, it cost $50 for the cleaning & repair, versus the $150+ that this place quoted me. Eastex is also an authorized Babylock dealer.GO TO EASTEX SEWING MACHINE CO!The service at at this company is more EXPENSIVE, SLOWER, and UNRELIABLE. Plus, they are not authorized Babylock dealers so I dont know that I should have trusted them to begin with. Most of the reviews on this page are from SALES and not repairs. Any shop can sell, but not all can keep their promises and provide good service.Eastex Sewing Machine Co has the sweetest employees, the quickest service, an affordable price, and best of all they keep their promises and exceed expectations. In contrast, I vehemently oppose this business and will make a point to advise my fellow sewers to steer clear.*****I hate leaving negative reviews, and I fully intend to amend this review if the issue is resolved.I gave them my overlock machine for a repair and was told it takes 3 weeks. This is the typical timeline Ive seen servicing my machines in the past. Were about to go on 5 weeks now, and I was told that my machine has two other machines ahead of it and they have no idea when it will be done. Uhhhh....I try to be patient and understanding, but the stakes are just too high in this situation. Im not a hobby sewer, I use my machine for my work, so going 3 weeks without it means not being able to work, and thus forgoing the income it produces.I put my trust in this company and I regret it!Im considering picking up my machine and taking it somewhere else, but if Im unable to then I will update this review appropriately with whatever happens.
Bought my Quattro 3 last year right before the Quilt Show. Tricia took the necessary time to show me the machine; helped me make my decision, answering all my questions. The store is convenient to me from The Woodlands and I find that whatever supplies I may need are right there. Staff is friendly and helpful.
They are extremely friendly and have and incredible service. Also prices are better if you need to fix your sewing machine
So glad I bought my Janome here. Tricia was so helpful in choosing a model and showed me many of the features it provides. They are close by and I know I can call or stop in with any question or conveniently take it for service. Cant wait to start sewing with it!
Staff took time, ensuring my choice and purchase, met my request and needs. Great place to spend your hard earned money.
I wasnt sure what I was looking for when I went in. Chris took the time to show me several different machines and I ended up with a great purchase. He was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions.. Thanks Chris
This is a great new store with a handy location and good service. Tricia was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I left the store feeling that I could come back for help, instructions and supplies, but more importantly, I felt that I would be able to use my new machine with confidence.
I recently purchased a sewing machine from the Conroe store. On my first visit Sean helped my friend and I look at machines. He gave us as much time as we needed to look at a variety of machines and was very helpful. On my second visit, Trish helped me choose my machine. She also coordinated my free class on my machine. Stephanie gave me the class, she was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of guidance on the functions of my Janome machine.I am highly satisfied with my experience at the store.
I went to Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse to buy an Embroidery machine. Tricia was very helpful and took her time explaining the different choices that were available. I was referred by a friend who said they very helpful to her. Glad I went to Sewing and Vacuum warehouse.
The staff at Sew & Vac are great. Im so glad to have purchased a machine from them because the support after the sale has been tremendous. Even when the problem was user error, they are patient and helpful.
