Ive been using smart start approximately 9 years now. Setting up was smooth and easy, and it was about the only time things went well. Ive found that it doesnt matter if you show up in person or use the automated phone system, it seems to be a hassle. Ive gotten conflicting information, unknowledgable employees, complications with things that should be simple, malfunctioning machines( Ive never had a failed blow), the list goes on...I get that part of the punishment and consequences for my actions is to have a breathalyzer, but should it be so difficult sometimes?
The employee was extremely helpful with learning about the machine and told me that if I had any questions or anything else, to call or go by the office.

Place never opening on time, the staff really has no respect that other people are needing to get to work. 8:55 am nobody here on Friday morning. Cars lined up to the end of parking lot
Poor customer service. Faulty equipment. I was locked out, I could not start my van on Christmas Day 2020. This was no fault of my own,it was faulty equipment. Luckily I was at home because it happened on a Friday and I could not get a live person on the phone until Monday. Then I was told that I had to have my vehicle towed at my expense but if it was their equipment I would be reimbursed. It turned out to be their equipment however they refused to reimburse me for the tow. When I got angry and objected to their failure to take responsibility, I was told that they would no longer service my vehicle at that location. Now I have to drive to Spring to have it serviced. There is no way to object or get recourse. They are in bed with the court system and they do not have to worry about getting customers, hence no customer service.
The scheduling process was easy. Staff friendly and helpful. Painless!! Thank you!!

Its simple. The only downfall is the waiting in line to get calibrated every month. Id like to know who sits and checks every picture?

Its an okay place to go if you have to go there sometimes the lines long and theres a long wait
I would give a 5 star review cause of the excellent service with the installer at the store but the customer service is horrible they schedule dates that for installs after a lockout would be scheduled even when I explained to administrators that this would happen now I have to pay a 50 lockout fee to return my machine and miss my tests or pay 140 for only half of a day of service and now Im telling them this before I get locked out and they have no idea on what to do

Smart Start in Conroe Texas has moved to 1300 S. Frazier Suite # 408 and no one has made that change for any web sites that state their address. Very unprofessional of this business and the owners/operators.
