We bought Our house in 2015. It hadnt been painted since it was built, approximately 35 years or so by present day. Josh Lucero from Quality Firsts Concord office came out again inquiring if we wanted to replace more windows - a job theyd done previously for us and did a spectacular job doing so.Because of covid-19 we werent allowing anyone access to the house and that pretty much prevented any windows replacement. Painting the house was in our plan and we took that route instead for this improvement.We took the tex-cote option for the lifetime guarantee, fire resistance, and easy cleaning. It was about twice the cost of a normal paint job but as wed never have to paint again and we live in an area prone to summer ground fires we decided it was a good investment. We had to get financing and the company was very patient with us as we juggled between them and our bank for the best financing deal.It took a while for our project to begin because we had to wait for warmer, clear weather. Once it did, it took about a week to complete.Rene and his painting crew were extremely nice and respectful of our property and needs. They had to replace a lot of wood that had rotted around the panes but organized the waste well. I have only found three nails that they missed, two on the front driveway and one in the back. I think thats a great example of how careful they were, when compared to the 100+ I found after having our roof replaced.There were two moldings under two separate sliding doors that they missed but Rene returned promptly to replace them and paint them.We are very pleased with the project. I would say wed use their service again to paint the outside but as we got that lifetime tex cote, maybe cleaning and an occasional patch is all we will need.For Josh himself, he is an excellent listener and goes out of his way to meet your needs and give you the best product he can. He truly is excited about the products he offers. He is patient, works to meet compromise between what they offer and what you can afford and never pressures you beyond your means. He makes himself readily accessible if you have any questions or need any updates and makes an effort to follow up on the project during and after in order to guarantee your satisfaction.He is hands down one of their best employees and if I owned my own business Id be lucky to have someone like him working for me.

The rep came to my door. I told him i would like some concrete done. We made an follow up appoitment. On the day of the appoitment, I had to go in to the office for work. I marked out the area where I needed the concrete. My wife was home on the day of the appoitment and explained to the rep that my husband was not home but he marked out the area for the concrtere. The rep refused to provide the estimate. I think this is dad customer service. They did not even want to provide an estime or call me while I was at work to discuss. Shady company, I have an feelin the rep wanted to try and up sell me on other items.

Quality First explained all the options to me so I could make the right decision on my concrete purchase. The were very professional while working and didn’t leave any mess for me to clean up. I had other people work in my yard and they always litter. Workers were kind and polite and like I said they cleaned up after themselves. Which in my book gives Quality First a 25 on a scale of one to ten. I would definitely have them back to do work for me.

Had patio door and kitchen window replaced in April of 2020. Cost $7500. By September patio screen door was coming apart. Talked to several female employees that assured me my complaint would be handled asap. After many calls, was finally referred to an employee named Ian out of the concord office. He said that he would just have the screen door replaced and would take about a month to arrive. I thought that was a ridiculous time frame but agreed. That was in October of 2020. This is January of 2021. No screen, no contact at all.Will never use this company again and will pass this info on to anyone I know

They presented the home exterior coating system very clearly. The product and system are excellent quality and I would have signed on the spot, but I just can’t afford to at this time, since I am working very reduced hours. But this is the coating system and contractor I intend to go with when it is feasible.

For 41 years I served a diverse group of students and their families in public school settings K-12. I learned and shared many skills and assisted my students is acquisition many valuable skills. General Contractor was not among those skills. So, when it came to improving my house, I knew the desired outcome(s) and interviewing companies to provide those was a learning experience. Quality First Home Improvement established an ongoing exchange. [Many things were occurring in both the world and my relation with it.] Recently, they sent Scott to further assess and facilitate my process.Scott arrived and began by reviewing my goals for my home remodel. He next checked where the garage door and heat pump were to be located, called to verify the information, confirmed that currently his company neither sells nor installs an electronic water heating system. (Part of the agenda for this work is to remove dependence/ use of natural gas/ methane, as it is extremely detrimental to the environment.) He did direct me to searches for companies that do sell and/or install such products.[Understandably, Quality Home Improvement Inc. does not recommend other companies, whose quality of product and workmanship they can neither supervise nor guarantee.] He also used his experience to assist me in researching possibilities for temporary storage to enable the projects by creating access space for completing them. Scott explained the differences in both characteristics and pricing for the choices in products to address my goals for improvement of my home environment [and that of our planet] and answered all questions with appropriate details and candor. He explained the companys history and commitment to quality and sustainability, hence both the companys name and their meriting of Diamond Certification.I will look forward to updating this post as the work is accomplished.At this point, I have great confidence and peace of mind in dealing with Quality First Home Improvement, Inc., as a company that will make sure that the work is done to exacting standards and in fulfillment of my goals to improve life for myself and those who will utilize the home for the next 50 years, even as it sustainably serves our planet in the present. I purchased a new home in September. I need to replace two doors to my garage. On October 23, 2020, I signed a contract with Quality First Home Improvement to replace the two doors and to install a skylight in my new house. On the contract its states that the approximate commencement date date would be December 16, 2020, and the approximate completion date would be December 20, 2020. An employee of Quality First Home Improvement came to my house shortly after I signed the contract to view the work to be done. After that, no one from Quality First Home Improvement contacted me at all. I called them in early December to ask them why no one had contacted me to set a firm date for the installation or to update me on the status of the doors. I talked to a guy name Iyan, who apologized profusely and said that delivery of the doors was delayed. He promised to keep me updated going forward. That never happened. I called Iyan a second time in late December and asked why no one had contacted me with an update. Again, Iyan apologized profusely and said it was his fault. He promised to keep me updated. Again, that never happened. On January 20, 2021, I called Iyan, Josh Lucero, the Concord office, and the Citrus Heights office and all I got was voicemail. I thought that was strange since I called during a business day before 5 p.m. I decided the file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on the same day. The following day (today) I received a call from Iyan at 8:00 a.m. Apparently, the BBB had contacted them about my complaint. He said they could start the work on January 21st. I told him that was too soon, so we scheduled the work to start on January 28, 2021. I have absolutely no confidence in this company based on my experience so far. I do not trust that they will do quality work. They are not professional. Actually, Im beginning to suspect that this company is trying to scam me. Although I did agree to have the work done next week, I am seriously considering ways to get out of the contract legally. It may be time for me to contact a lawyer. Be forewarned! Another thing, have you noticed that many of the reviews for Quality First Home Improvement on this site actually never had work done or dealt with the company after they signed a contract? This company appears to be good at presentations and sales, but absolutely lousy at the follow-through.

Sales Associate Ryan just departed after spending two hours with us working out options to integrate his excellent modern vinyl windows with our 1925 house.It was not easy! But Ryan was patient with all of our issues. He was a gentleman, and he was a skillful presenter. I learned a great deal and am grateful to him for having shared his knowledge.

I talked to Ryan Grandy in a super hot day, he is very professional and went through all the details of their Solar panel product and services and gave me a great quote, although I still need time to make decision since my house renovation project is going to start and I will install solar panel at the end of the project but I definitely will consider using Quality First, their product and warranty look solid and they also do roofing so they can make sure they don’t mess up your current roof.

Scott, who came out to give me a bid was very polite and thorough, presented a sealant alternative to painting that is extremely appealing especially after his explanation and hands on demonstration. Folks on the phones can be a little pushy - they want you to do it now, but he was patient and understanding of the realities of my situation so I hope to deal with him again when I am ready to move forward. I did have a good experience with the prior work done on my home so I will be back despite the frequent sales calls.Follow up: folks on the phone have been more patient for a while and I called in to have Scott come out again today. Got a good price discount as a repeat customer and I’m going forward with the sealant.

Quality First Home Improvement did a 4/5 star on my roof. Now they have called/visited me at least 3x to give me sales prices on HVAC. They keep telling me about the sales on the phone at 40% and then when the sales rep comes to my house its 28%. And after its all said and done they quote me a higher price then the previous visit and they have the nerve to ask me if we are going to close the deal. This is not Diamond Certified Behavior. And frankly I am embarrassed to have referred them after my roof was completed because I was happy with the work...now all I get is fake promises and double talk.

Josh was (is!) a fantastic sales rep b/c he patiently listened to our ideas and preferences, offered helpful guidance and solutions, stopped by multiple times to apply sample colors, and NEVER pushed us to hurry up. ASK FOR JOSH!

They installed my windows over a year ago for almost $4000 and broke multiple blinds in the process. Now one of my windows won’t close and it’s been a month since I filed a complaint with Kevin and I haven’t heard back. I will never ever go to these people again.I will be filing a complaint with Diamond Certified. Nikhil the sales person assured us this is was a trust worthy company and they are not. I have never had a company take advantage of people like this before.

A man named Bill showed up, we were only interested in a roof estimate, he sat here for an hour rambling on and on about anything and everything except for the roof. I tried 3 separate times to get him to the point of our roof. All he was interested in doing was talking to us about the various things their company does most of which we have already had done. I told him several times that this appointment was for a roof estimate. When I told him I was leaving for a meeting and that my husband was handling this roof project, he rudely said we needed to make an new appointment because... and Ill quote, Ive dealt with women before and I know for sure you will want to pick the color or something. That was it for me, I was done, I left for my meeting. That is an hour of my time that I cannot get back. My husband said after I left he heard a few personal stories from the guy and he got the impression that this guy was never here to give us a roof estimate, but more to try to sell his company to us for other home improvements.He left a flyer with us about their company, it was a reproduced copy with part of the flyer cut off and it appeared to have coffee spilled on most of it. The guy himself, looked sloppy, dirty white shirt with their logo on it.OH, and did I mention, he flipping parked in front of one our neighbors drive way, not just a little bit in front of the drive way, but he completely blocked them.We will not be using any of their services.

Had a quote done and what I was told was the room we were having done would be completed in one day and ready to paint. It took 3 days to complete and the workers said All you need to do is sand and paint. Ready to paint does not mean sand before painting. The outside looks just ok the inside I have to complete myself. Their paid there gone and I will NEVER use them again. Never been more disgusted with service promised as I am with this. Calling Scott, that sold us the bill of goods was absolutely worthless. The owner of the company should can the whole group and start over. I have reached out to a guy the company told me to contact named Doug and he said he was not the project coordinator so he contacted the real guy out of the Concord office. No help so quality is not a good name for this company.

I met with Scott Wright from Quality First. The Appointment took 3 hours and did not start off well. He immediatly gave the impression that my remodel was beneath his organization since I was not remodeling my kitchen or bathroom but, we proceed with the meeting. In the end, I picked several finishes and he left with a to do list and said he would get back to me within 2 business days with the rest of the information (Quoted me $17k for 2 window replacements, 2 door replacements and one window to door conversion which is ridiculous given the other quote I have received since out meeting) . I never heard back from Scott or a rep from this company. I wasted 3 hours of my time and he repeated told me he wanted my to sign the quote that day. Apparently since I needed more information ( When they called to schedule my appt, I was very detailed with the scheduler about my needs), it was not wirth the effort. I will not be using this company for any services in my home.
