I play acoustic guitar and the selection is not to great for higher end instruments. I think they have an agreement with Taylor because that is there main brand. I have attempted to trade in gear an they low ball (not that I would expect different). The guitar tech is very good and I recommend him. Staff is adequate. Go on a weekday when it is quiet.

Nice selection of new and used gear. They were very helpful and gave me a fair trade in price for my old guitar and a great deal on a new (to me) one.

Mark at the guitar repair station gave outstanding service. We were able to work out a more budget friendly solution by using spare junk parts the store had lying around.The number of guitar pedals in store is lacking though. Better off looking online.

It is a very appealing environment w/ lots of awesome guitars 🎸 hanging on the walls as well as other stimuli! The staff is VERY friendly, efficient & accommodating! My kids instructors are Allen, drum teacher, & Aiden for voice lessons- excellent personalities 👌 & musicianship! We get a discount on drum sticks & merchandise because they are students 😀

Its certainly a nice facility with more than its fair share of selection. The customer service and even management is a bit eye-pokey and snarky, however. Dont go in there expecting a particularly warm and inviting atmosphere. Dublin guitar center is much better that way.

Bought a Bass guitar for my daughters birthday, lots of selections and very knowledgeable sale associate.

If youre a musician or want to be a musician, youve gotta love Guitar Center . Why ? Well the one big reason is theyre the only game in town . Sure theres an occasional mom and pop store, but they just dont have the selection of GC. Also theyve struggled just like all if us through this never ending pandemic . ( Get vaccinated, silly people ! ) Theyll hopefully be around for a long time . Ive found visiting manys GCs that the staff really have knowledge and are very helpful. I know Ive spent many, many dollars there . Never once, have I felt ripped off or talked down to.

First time here and felt well taken care of. My daughter is taking their guitar lessons and is enjoying it. Bought a guitar for her, great price.

My perspective of Guitar Center has totally changed since a friend of mine had dragged me to this location. When I had walked in I did not know that Guitar Center offered lessons and let you player instruments of sight of booths or in the acoustic guitar area to fine-tune your musical talents interesting.I had no idea how intricate everything really was granted I do love music myself but I had no idea that there was so much detail that went into it with the various guitars instruments synthesizers in music equipment which is very impressive.

These guys are amazing! Took more time out of their day than I deserved and they did it cheerfully to boot. My goto place for all things musical. Even had a Kazoo I was looking for.

Sadly, this place has very little inventory. Shelter in place shut down caused Guitar Center to file bankruptcy. The stores look barren..

Highly recommend this place! They have a great selection of high quality audio equipment and instruments at fair prices. Employees are always willing to help, are very knowledgeable, and aim to get you the best deal. Me and my family will always go here if we need something.

Bought a 1997 PRS 10 Top Custom 24 with Case from this location. Guitar was shipped without a case to me in a cardboard box. Who does this??? Contacted customer care over the phone and then the store manager to confirm that the case was being sent out immediately with overnight shipping. Both said yes and assured me it was handled. Called the store manager a few days later as I had not received it and was told it went out a day later than it should have. Now its a week later and still no case. Called in again and was told that the case was shipped to the wrong address. Dont you think that when you make the first mistake you make the remedy a top priority and then double check it for errors before continuing on with yet another failure? Not this location. Supposedly the case has now been overnighted to me again to the correct address this time. Save yourself the grief, find a different place to buy your music equipment from.

I have been a customer at Guitar Center for quite some time now. They always have the stuff i want and the service is A One! I recommend Guitar Center for musicians of all experience levels!

The manager Lauren is really friendly and patient. She helped me receive a claim to get my microphone fixed. I was a little disappointed because the employee who is usually in the microphone section, was not there... He was the most knowledgeable but overall a great place. Always my go to for music stuff.

I didnt go in. I did my transaction in the parking lot. It was a craigslist deal.He person chose guitar center in Concord.

Everyone was super helpful and they helped us find everything we needed and had what wasnt in stock today shipped to our house.

Called ahead and was told to hurry in for guitar restring. Arrived and the tech was on a breaker that he never returned from 30 minutes later. Then were told there were 3 people ahead of us so he wouldnt be able to see us anyway. Maybe this is an example of why they are in bankruptcy now, in addition to Covid.

I love this place. My go to for guitars and recording equipment. Good selection of recording microphones and studio headphones. Really nice and knowledgeable staff too. I try to stay away from this place because I have spent $500-700 every single time I stopped by... I love them! I’m like a kid in candy land when I go here.

The people here are very helpful but it takes a while to get into the store thanks to social-distancing and the pandemic. Once youre inside there are cordoned areas where only one person can shop or browse at a time. The were about 12 people in line when I got there on a hot Monday afternoon. It took at least 20 minutes to get in the store. When I left about 15 minutes later there was no line! Go figure! Go but expect a wait.

Every time I have gone into this store in recent years the staff couldn’t be bothered to greet me let alone offer to assist me with anything. The last time I was in the store I stood near the awkwardly placed sales counter in the middle of the floor for a good few minutes while the two guys behind the counter chatted and completely ignored me.This chain is not doing good business in any way for the community and I urge anyone who has read this far to go to an independent shop if possible. Rockin’ Robbies is 5 minutes away and Lamorinda Music is maybe a 15 minute drive west. These shops deserve our business much more than Guitar Center.

Great place friendly environment. If your a curious musician that is hands on go here. You can pull any instrument down and start playing with it. Its accepted and encouraged to do so. Highly recommend giving this place a visit for the music enthusiast out there

Guitar Center is almost always a nice store and this one is no different. Plenty of gear and helpful employees. Honest too, I sold a guitar to them and already accepted their first offer when they realized the guitar was actually worth more than they thought. They informed me and made a more substantial offer. They have a phenomenal higher end amplifier selection compared to most other Guitar Centers as well.

Helpful people. Concord is not as big as San Jose or Sac or SF, but still tons of eye candy if youre into it. They took a trade on our inexpensive bass which was nice, so definite props to them for working with my 14 yr old.

Nice selection and very courteous staff members. The gentleman who helped took care of me helped me with my heavy speaker stands out to the car. I highly recommend this place.

You can take music Lessons, buy new and used musical instruments drums, guitars, pianos, and DJ lighting equipment available here. The staff is helpful and patient, you can jam on different instruments, drums, guitars, e-pianos and DJ sets. Plenty of parking, opened 7 days a week and has bathrooms and sound isolated play rooms.

I brought my 11 year-old son to get some time to play the various drum sets and everyone was friendly as usual and my son looked like he was in heaven. A great place to release stress and tension.

Horrible Customer Service on the Lessons Dept. Tried to reschedule due to a transportation issue and was basicly not given any options by the store to reschedule. Just took the money and screwed my girl on the last lesson of her Christmas gift. They basically gave the middle finger and said show up or loss it. Screw your greedy policy. Definitely not a policy thats going to make me ever want to return to spend a dime. Great way to treat a beginner of her new instrument. Will find lessons from people with better morals and ethics.

I do all my music shopping here, have never returned an item. Hopefully it stays that way.

Guitar center is the largest and most comprehensive place in central county for musical instruments and accessories. They are always helpful and knowledgeable. They have a massive section of new and used acoustic and electric guitars, keyboard, DJ equipment and much more. Their acoustic section is particularly impressive in the decor and the breadth of instruments. Overall, highly recommended.

This was like walking into a magical wonderland! And its huge inside, I wanted to make a special trip back to just hang out and see what cool stuff I can find and see. I was at Frys looking for a y adapter for my AV cables, could not be found there!! A quick Google search found what I was looking for in stock at guitar center and WoW I was super stoked!

Stopped in with a recently purchased used guitar. Repair person adjusted tressel while I waited. Took 2 minutes, no charge

After years of coming to this place... It still sucks. I have been here so many times and have rarely ever been greeted or treated like a customer that this place wanted to have. It seems I could care less about people... As I came in to actually buy a full-on electronic drum set... And price was no issue whatsoever... But not one person even bothered to ask if I wanted any help. So... Guitar Center... Since you are so unwilling to offer any customer service whatsoever... I went and bought from another place that took care of me. Thanks for continuing to be one of the worst customer service places Ive ever experienced... I guess you must sell too much product because you piss off people and dont even give them an opportunity to spend their money in your store. This will definitely be the last time you even consider stepping into your relocation. You just lost a customer for life.

Really nice staff. My only complaint is that customers are super annoying. Specially customers that walk in just to have the staff tune their instruments cause they dont know what a tuner is. This one guy was holding up the line because he wanted the guitar salesman to fine tune his ukelele.
