Excellent selection of used games for older systems. Super dope mini arcade available for use seven dollars for one hour, four dollars for half an hour. All of the games were functional and entertaining. New Age machines as well as throwbacks. Threw me all the way back to Nickel City days. Loved it, can’t wait to go back.

Very polite and professional staff. The machines are in awesome shape and kept clean and maintained. I drove over an hour to see what this place was like and would definitely do it again. For pinball fans, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Wish I could give less than one star, this place is so dishonest and uncustomer-friendly. I wanted a genuine Nintendo 64 controller and since they only had 3rd party controllers, I was put on the wait list. A few weeks later I finally got a call saying they had one. I drive there and buy the controller for about $21 all told. When I get home and removed the plastic to test it out, I find that the Z-button is broken, the D-pad is unresponsive and the joystick had been replaced with a very stiff and uncomfortable 3rd party joystick. So the next day, I go back and try to return it, but they point out the bottom of the receipt states they do not do returns and can only offer store credit. They did not tell me this before I bought the product and clearly do their best to hide this when they sell products. What am I gonna do with store credit to a place that lies and sells broken products? It wouldnt be a big deal if I wasnt strapped for cash but of course I am. What kind of store doesnt offer refunds on broken products? Ive never had a worse shopping experience in my life. Do NOT go here if you are looking for quality retro video game products

Phoenix game staff are always professional, friendly, and knowledgable. Ive been going there for years and its always the best experience. Its not GameStop. If you need to pawn off some old video game stuff this is the place! Also if you like pinball or arcade machines, theyve got tons of em.Couldnt recommend more!

Currently I go to Phoenix for the pinball but Ive bought games here in the past. They have a great selection of new and used games a wide variety of consoles and hand-helds. The staff is very helpful and friendly. With a good selection of about 15 rotating tables plus a good number of retro video games, its a fun place to spend some time. Ive been stopping in occasionally for a long time but playing pinball more regularly brings me to Phoenix more often now. Thanks for being a part of Concords pinball culture.

Havent been here in almost a year due to covid. Needed to kill some time so I grabbed my quarters and marched right in. To my surprise they changed up the arcade machines pay and play. Instead of quarters you pay for time. $4 = 30 minutes of play time of any game OR $7 for 1 hour. You can play any pinball or cabinet game they have. You can start a game and decide to play something else or you just play the same game for the duration of your time paid for. Would be nice to have the ability to play a console game as such, than again the price might go up. Check them out. Place is always clean and the owner and employees are always helpful and willing to help.

They offered me $3 for call of duty modern warfare and $6 for call of duty Cold War. I told them they offered me too little. The owner “chris” with long hair told me I can take my games and throw them in the trash. This place is a rip off. Do not come here to trade your games. Bring your games to GameStop where pays a lot more. The owner “Chris” with long hair is very rude. Bad karma will get him. That’s guaranteed.

Best place for your game needs.....the guys there are amazing and super nice....tool my grandson in to get a game and the gentlemen there took the time to explain and make suggestions for his age we took his advice about a game got home and my grandson loved the game he suggested....Thanks guys you rock!!!

Great place to play old school pinball and arcade games. I just wish this place had two things for customers. They need reasonable size step stools for kids as I only seen one bar stool for my daughter to use unless they had them hidden or you have to request it. The other thing I feel they need is plastic cups so people can put their coins inside the cups because not all people have pockets on their clothes.

Phoenix is awesome, they have almost anything you would need to kickstart your entry or re-entry into the retro game lifestyle. Staff is nothing but helpful and welcoming. Their selection is sizeable and they even have multiples of some titles. They also carry accessories and consoles themselves. Needless to say, Phoenix is a no brainer when on the hunt for a particular retro gaming related item, support your local game stores!

Super awesome had a ton of fun with my father playing most of the games there. There are tons of pinball machines and also lots of youre classic games. Digdug, Galaga, E.T.C. Has mortal combat. In the front and main vending area there is lots of games for youre DS GameBoy PlayStation Xbox and other gaming systems. You can buy lots of classical games. There are fluctuations in availability of different specific games.

Huge selection of games from every generation. If you are a video game fan or collector this place will dazzle you. They also do disc resurfacing. I just got a copy of Metal Gear Solid(PS1) resurfaced. It wasnt working properly before but now I am an hour into the game and it works flawlessly. Cant wait to come back.

The customer service is superb and the employees knowledge is mind blowing. I’ve yet to have a question I couldn’t get an answer for. Game prices are accurate or low based on current market value and most everything can be personally tested before hand, so people can’t complain something isn’t working. Their arcade is awesome for its size and they even do kids parties. If you want something they have a wait list where they call when they get your desired item in stock. What a Bay Area gem... I have been shopping at this store for almost 10 years. They have some rare games and consoles from the past. They also offer store credit or cash for trade-ins.

Got an older Wii system from here still in the box for $10 bucks more. Definitely a bargain! Wouldve loved to get this system and three games for only $90 back in the day. Lol Got it for a Christmas present for the kids they love it! It was used but still in great condition and no problems whatsoever. Just glad Phoenix games exist! Someone has to have a store with older gen gems and this is definitely the spot to find them.

This place is great, have been here to sell and buy games and consoles. Great employees, very knowledgeable about everything it seems. They have pinball games and arcade games. They also hold fun tournaments that you can play in to win things. They have stuff you usually cant find other places. If you have never been its a must to stop by and take a gander at least.

This place is awesome only 1 of 2 video game stores I know of that still carries PS2 games. It was also fun playing pin ball and vintage video games in the back. I love coming here to look for retro games. They always test their products and make sure they work. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to build a retro game collection. The only con(?) I have is they dont tend to have the rarer stuff, but obviously its first come first serve so I cant really complain too much. 😁

Phoenix Games is a gem of a used video game store tucked away in Concord. It has a friendly, helpful staff, reasonable prices and a very nice selection of games. Though is out of my way, Im very willing to make the trip and I try to stop by from time to time to see what classic titles they may have on sale. Easily a five-star location.

Hands down the nicest little game store I’ve ever been to. Clean, organized, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their selection was good and very well taken care of. These guys are the real deal, they know what they’re doing!

When I walk in Im transported to a more simple, more peaceful time.They seem to have everything youre looking for, but if somehow they dont they take requests and will keep an eye out for you! Even if they find it and you decide you dont want it, no fee or penalty. All games are tested and cleaned, returns are welcome so long as it falls within the terms and for store credit.

Its a cool game store, has a large selection of games and accessories vintage and contemporary. It also has a really cool arcade. It has Ghouls and ghosts and even a Terminator 2 machine among others. It also has a great selection of pinball machines.

If you have a need to play well maintained retro arcade games. This is the place. Oh did I mention they have pinball too? 10 or so machines. All well maintained.Also they sell used video games to complete your collections. Lots of rare stuff. Like a Magnavox gaming system. Amazing and nice people.

If you want it, they either have it or are willing to take down your name and number so that you can be the one to get it when it does come in. If youre after old school video games, THIS is where you want to go. The staff is helpful and friendly and the arcade is a blast. Even if you dont find anything you want to buy you will still spend 20 min in there playing pinball.
