I bought a 2013 mercedes c250 from smart start on 10/12/21. The day I brought it home I drove from car lot straight to work. When I left work and started the car it made a loud grinding noise.Turns out it needed new camshaft adjusters, a $3000 job by mercedes. This problem is only noticeable on a cold start(not been running for a while.) Now I had test drove this car two times but what I thought was odd is they had the car running for me both times. When I called the car lot and told them about this $3000 dollar problem on the car I just paid $13000 cash for they assured me they bought the car at auction and nothing was wrong with the car. It is a very loud grinding noise that happens every time the car is started after sitting for a while. I feel like they knew about the problem,and hid it from me by having the car running for me. because they had been driving the car. It has since been fixed by mercedes by a warranty that myself nor the car lot knew the car had. If there was no warranty I would of been on the line for a $3000 bill. I do not like to give negative reviews but I feel this one is justified.
