This place is great! I went recently for a daith and helix piercing and everyone was so helpful! It’s located in a clean, cute building and felt well taken care of and professional! There was a small wait but not bad compared to some of the local competition. The best part.. all their piercing jewelry is nickel free!

Awesome shop. Im got a tribal on my arm and Zach was awesome. Ive been to different shops trying to get an appointment but Blue Star was the most welcoming to me compared to other shops in the area. The shop is right next to the theatre so its easy to find and I got great parking in their little lot. The shop itself is very clean and all the workers I met were very professional and easy to talk to. I absolutely recommend this place. Friendliest shop Ive been to yet.

Its cool, artist was good. Id prefer a tattoo bed inside a room instead of in the open area, but maybe I shouldve asked for that? You need to schedule an appointment and you put a deposit down. The guy who tattooed me was named Ronnie. He was quick, and it wasnt so painful. I told him what I wanted, and Emailed him my ideas, and he made the tattoo how I wanted it. Gave me a bandage to wear for 24 hr after. It healed up well.

The place was amazing. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiles. I got my nose pierced here and we went over the perfect spot to pierce it. They answered all my questions and didnt seem rushed at all. Id definitely love to come back and get another piercing here.

Love this place! My friend, Traci, recommended them and told me to ask for Pat. I took my daughter there for a bellybutton piercing and I got a dermal and he was quick and painless. 5 days later, no swelling, no bruising (on the chest dermal I have seen bruising on other friends), just nice a clean and painless! I made the drive from Napa to Concord just for them and it was worth it! Highly recommend.

I went in for a consultation with Ronnie on a design I had in mind. He provided some excellent advice and his final design was much improved. His work was excellent and I am extremely happy with his work.

They where so nice and helpful.... she told me the piercings I wanted wouldnt work and then gave me other options she didnt just say no and then walk away like other places would have .... she went over all the details and what to do and not do and how it should go down .... they are a little pricy but I feel like it was worth it in the end hopefully this heals nice and looks good :)

Darrin did my tattoo. A little moon on my face. He used way too much pressure, extremely heavy handed. And seemed to have rushed thru the process. It hurt worse than any other tattoo I had (including on my face). And his work, due to the rushed work, is quite blown out. I have a friend who has gotten tattoos from him as well and the lining is awful. And for work as small as that and as sloppy I was charged 100$. It is someones face u are permanently marking and it should have been done carefully and safely as your website says. I will not be going back to this place.

I came in today wanting to get a piercing. Pablo is a f***ing boss. He pierced my nipples in like five seconds. He made me feel super comfortable too.While I was waiting I talked to Zach about a tattoo I wanted. He was super cool and did it right after I got my piercings. They both did such an awesome job and took me on the spot.I’ll definitely be back.

I came to Blue Star looking for an industrial piercing, but I wasnt sure if it would work with my ear shape. After a consultation with Pablo, who was friendly and professional, he confirmed that my ear was too small for the piercing, but not to worry for there was plenty of other options. Pablo went over several different types of piercings and placements, and explained which options would be most aesthetically pleasing by taking a picture of my ear with an iPad and drawing out the options on the tablet. We had a nice conversation as we discussed the possibilities. I appreciated his throughness and how knowledgeable he was. He made the actual piercing experience quick and comfortable. In terms of final cost, it was slightly more than I expected, but I do not think something as permanent as piercings should be cheap and I think the final result was worth every penny. I did not come expecting to get a double rook, but Im very pleased with how it looks and I think it suits me perfectly. I would highly recommend Pablo and Blue Star to anyone looking for a piercing in Concord.

The owner is a very nice guy and they do quality work. They take the time to help plan your tattoos and are cautious about letting you make a rush decision that yiu may later regret. Tattoos last forever and they understand that.

Soooooooo I have had migraines for a very long time and then I read the article the owner of this shop put out. This particular piercing works for only certain people and I appreciated the honesty of his Feelings about it. He didnt push me to get it done but I felt comfortable knowing that this piercing could possibly rid me of my migraines. Guess what? Im one of the lucky ones it worked on! Dont knock it til you try it.

Completely understand small parking area. As the owner I would like my spaces to be available for my clients. But it would also BE IDEAL to have clearly visible signs posted in front of parking spaces. I parked here not knowing that they were reserved because there is not a visible sign posted in front of the spaces facing the pizza building. They are not ground marked. Not even here 10 mins & a tow truck was call. Someone clearly saw me pull and and instantly dialed the truck. Clearly this happens enough the owner and tow truck have worked out a deal. Thats sad. When somone takes joy in something like that. Putting people out of work For a 10 min mistake. But I can see your greed for spaces out weighs your thoughts for your community.

Crazy overpriced for jewelry. the new piece i got in my belly made me very itchy. i’ve had that piercing for years and it sucked to have to take it out. i don’t like the vibe here they act like they’re so cool.

Duration staff. Nicole is fantastic artist. I had an old tattoo rehab and it look better than when it was new.

Called to see if I could get my dermal tops changed out. The lady said yes. I then asked if there was a charge. She said yes $8. So I asked is that per dermal or a flat charge. Lol. The piercer then said well it depends on how long it takes, you could have 15 dermal. Okay. So do you charge per dermal? She again said it depends how long it takes. It could take most of my day up. Next question, what do you charge for your time? The piercer than answered back maybe I should ask how many dermals you do you have? At this point it doesnt matter how many I have. You cant tell me if u charge per dermal or by the minute. This shop sounds super shady and out to take peoples money. I will never step foot here. Highly would not recommend.

I thought I wrote this review already but in case it was removed, here it is again. I went in with my GF about a year ago (walk-in) for her to get a very small tattoo in a thin line. We got a young dude who told us how amazing he was at tattooing as he set up for the job. He decided to ignore her request for a thin line tattoo and used a much fatter needle (like a 5 round when she wanted single needle or a tight 3) and then went back over his lines twice. So much for confidence in your craft right? Well, it’s been a year and it’s already starting to bleed out and doesn’t look that awesome. In the background, the owner and his employees were talking the whole time about being violent towards people they disliked and laughing which seemed like a strange topic of conversation to make people wanna come back. WATCH OUT.

Good changes have happened at Blue Star. New artists have brought great talent to a well established shop that has recently moved into a new location. The custom work offered here has never been better.

So furious with this place....For a piercer who is world known Im not at all impressed. No marks were made for us to see and approve prior to the actual piercings. I had one vertical and one horizontal eyebrow that closed months ago. The location was clearly noticeable yet the piercer felt the horizontal was placed wrong so moved it. He used a bar that was too short which cause major swelling and pain and when I returned they were going to charge me for a longer bar. The piercings are so close that it is almost impossible to change the jewelry myself. It did end up healing and looks ok though not at all what I wanted and another piercer from another shop is changing my jewelry for me at no cost.My daughter got one side of her lip pierced to match her existing (for snake bites) two times to pierce it and it is still tipped and not even to the existing piercing.Also tipped was her belly button which she ended up removing because she cant get it to heal.Over 250.00 for four piecings which was not totaled until after the piercings were done and then they seriously wanted me to pay more to fix his screw up using a bar that did not even reach half way through the piercing. I will definately not return or recommend to anyone.

Loooved the Argentinian guys knowledge and customer service when I came in to ask about a nose piercing! The other guy was a complete angry elf when I asked about military discount telling me that no tattoo places do that (with a bitter attitude). Like I wasnt even talking to him and he butted in, so I had to concur and tell him the I did get a military discount on the earings at another piercing location. Like for time and service for a tattoo I get it thats the artists work. If it wasnt for the Argentinian guy I probably wouldnt go back, which I will be since thats where I got my nose pierced 12 years ago but once I enlisted I left the ring out for a long period and it closed up. Then I went to the antioch mall last year and it was a not the same metal or method and turned out to get infected on the outside where the flower jewel was. After he answered all of my questions and showed me the types that I was interested in, he politely asked if I was pregnant. Totally am 7 months pregnant haha, so I will be back after baby comes because today I learned it was illegal to pierce a pregnant person in California.
