Had an awesome 3 hours in a family canoe with our 2 kids sailing to a public beach with a rope swing and back again. Very reasonably priced at 35$

I had so much fun! We arrived and got a brief safety and use lesson and then got shuttled up the Contoocook river. The river and the woods are absolutely beautiful and its great, easy river for a beginner. Reasonably priced and really fun! Ill definitely be going again.

We rented stand up paddle boards here for a half day and had a great time. We were new to SUP and they were helpful with tips and pointers. Sam and Chris were super helpful down at the water and Chris hopped right on a board to show us some techniques. Excellent and easy place to paddle with helpful staff. Highly recommended!

What a steal to paddle board for $40 for the whole day! Beautiful location on a chill river with minimal boats on the water. Lots of spots to pull off to eat lunch and swim.

No returns on boats. Tried to return one 18 hours later, never used the kayak but heard they had a no return policy. Googled other shops, most have a 30 day return policy. I realize kayaks are a hot item this year but be careful.

Paddled down the 9-mile Contoocook River trip in about 4.5 hours. River was calm, and current will keep you moving if you decide to paddle leisurely. The advertised beach head 2 miles from the vendor was small, mucky, and not very appealing. Didn’t catch any wildlife aside from some geese. Maybe you’ll see that bear they talk about.

I really wish there was more than 5 stars! This place is amazing! I called several time before I bought my kayak with questions and never shopped here before. They answered all my questions as I did my own research! They had both the Yakima Rack and Kayak I wanted, they had to order some parts and even installed a Rudder for me on my kayak. I came in for an appt to get the rack installed on my car on Friday and pick up the kayak. They were expecting a truck with a lot of kayaks on it and even while that truck was there they still installed my rack. The install was professional and they helped me to understand how to secure the kayak to the car and even at normal highway speeds that kayak was stable, plus it was a windy day! They were awesome with explaining everything to me in great detail so that I understood it. I will be doing business with them for all my kayaking needs.Rob

I am reviewing based off the merchandise in stock and nothing else. We visited recently as we were looking for kayaks and were disappointed when they only had 3 in stock. We were hoping for more of a selection so we should have called ahead first before making the drive.

Great find. We were looking for a kayak rental in the lakes region before heading home from vacationing there. Every rental place was full. Found this gem and it looked like it was on our way back home. Prices are very reasonable and 1/2 the price of kayak rentals in the lakes region. Didnt need a reservation. Perhaps we got luckyThe river is calm and has beautiful scenery. We even saw an egret along the way. We kayaked 2 miles to Daisy beach where the children were able to swim in about 45 minutes. The current in the river is gentle making it an easy kayaking trip for beginners like myself. Worth the stop over and the memories.

Exceptional experience! Everything was on time and went smoothly. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly! We rented kayaks in conjuncture with shuttle drop off 9 miles up the Contoocook River. They gave us a good safety and training class (maybe 20 minutes prior to taking off). We were dropped off with others but you go at your own pace and in a short while we were alone on the river. We paddled down the river and stopped at various beaches and went swimming. It was a wonderful day and wonderful service. Highly recommended!!

While I appreciated the care they took in educating everyone about the trip prior to taking you to the launch, just dumping and running off was not good at all. I had to drag a heavy kayak down a long path to get to the launch and they could see I was by myself but left me there anyways. And the kayak did not fit my body so I ended up using my cell phone to call for help and a replacement. It was awful and embarrassing. They should be more careful and considerate. Ill never go back.

We have our own Kayaks and loved taking them down the river. Before we found out about Contoocook River Canoe Co, the down side was always needing two vehicles to do it one where we put in and one at the other end where we got off the river. When we found out about this company it made things so much easier. now we park at their location and they drive us up to the same drop off point we were using already. it saves us a lot of time and effort and we have never had issues getting a spot on the shuttle, even calling last minute. today is our sixth time riding up with them and would recommend them to anyone but especially people with their own kayaks looking for a good solution to the transportation issue we were having. we use our kayaks more now because they make it so simple.
