Took my dead car in for a dead alternator. I really enjoy Dave and Mary and their staff. They always answer the phone and let you know what is going on with your vehicle. They work with you on what needs to be done as a priority, which is helpful when you have as many cars as we do with the age of the vehicles we own. It took several days to get my vehicle back, which was fine since I had another but upon return the radio did not work. I was surprised that it wasnt checked but they had me bring it back down and checked it out complements of the house. The radio was fixed and I was on my way.

Dave and Mary were thoughtful in explaining possible outcomes for my repair job (an AC refresh) and very kind in offering a ride to and from the shop. Mario (driver) is also great. I should have remembered to ask up front for a breakdown of likely pricing for the AC recharge and potential repair outcomes. I feel the explanation was fair, and otherwise Mario, Mary and Dave were good to talk with.

Went in because the a/c compressor was not engaging. Had 12v at the compressor so just needed the pump and a recharge. They said they fixed a “Short in the wire”. And it was gonna cost $1700. I took it elsewhere and cost plus a v belt was under $700. There wasn’t any second wiring problem nor did they explain this alleged wiring “Fix” in the bill for Diagnostics $175. I only had the one compressor problem. I had checked all the wiring before I took it in. The guy didn’t even thank me when I paid him. Just walked away. Which I advise you to do here!

I have an 81 Jeep Cherokee Laredo that needed some work. Finding Dave at D&H was a great relief. He was very familiar with the vehicle - most mechanics wont touch vintage Jeeps - and did a great job with diagnostics and repairs. Ill be back.

I have nothing to say but good things about Dave and his lovely shop D&H Enterprises! My wifes car (2005 Jeep Liberty) was starting to die every couple of days and the suspension was on its last leg. I finally gave in and decided to take it in to D&H. As always I was greeted with a warm friendly smile, and they got to work quickly on the car. There were quite a few things wrong with it, but everything was checked even items I had no idea about! That is what I love about D&H they give you a full list for $199 of everything that is wrong, and I mean everything! Dave also made sure to include photos and videos as well. The price was beyond reasonable for the amount of work that had to be done, and my wife has here Jeep back and it drives like its brand new!Dont take your car to just any shop. Bring it to D&H and you wont regret it. I usually dont write reviews, but when the service and work is this good, the world or at least Bay Area needs to know!

I brought my older RV to D&H for an inspection to see if it could be worthy of a month long trip in the fall. I was very pleased with the suggestions made especially replacing the shocks with better quality units and the Green engine treatment. It runs significantly better going uphill and that’s a lovely thing.Mary and Dave are delightful, kind and easy to deal with.

Normally I only write reviews when I have something good to say since I feel there are too many people who only write when they are upset. However in this case I am making an exception.I was a loyal customer with D & H for over 10 years. During my last service the owners informed me that my drivers side rear control arm was damaged, most likely while rock crawling and it should be replaced. I found this odd as I had never taken my Jeep rock crawling and the most off-roading I have done was driving through a flat dry lake bed.I recently decided to replace my shocks and while doing that took a much closer look at my control arms. They look almost brand new. To make sure I wasnt missing something I called a friend who is a mechanic and asked if he would take a look. He saw nothing of any concern.I can put up with a lot of things, but flat out lying to customers is not one. Had I fallen for this line I would have spent probably more than $1k to have an unnecessary repair/replacement done.Moral of the story is, know your vehicle and what it needs done to it. And if you choose to use D&H and they tell you something other than what you asked for needs to be done, get a second opinion.(Update 10/19/21)Shortly after writing this review I received one - and only one - communication from the owner: an email (see attached screen shot). Not several, which was stated. In this email the owner states “I think we have a big communication problem and closes the email by textually yelling at me. He then attached a copy of the last inspection report they generated on my vehicle.While this report was comprehensive and included many legit items that needed work, the only image of my control arm shows no damage. As stated previously I was told in the office that my control arm showed damage from sliding down a rock while rock crawling, a hobby I do not participate in. This was not something that was indicated in the inspection report. Only bushings were mentioned in regards to the control arms.In the public reply from the owner they state that a lot can happen in two years. This is true. What cannot happen in two years is for a part to repair its self. When all four of my control arms were removed and replaced recently, I inspected them with the mechanic who performed the service and neither of us could find any evidence of damage.In looking back over previous reviews left buy the relatively small number of dissatisfied customers I do notice a pattern of behavior in which the customer leaving the review is called out and told they are wrong. This concerns me as in my experience a negative review is not an excuse to verbally/textually attack someone. Instead it is an opportunity to see where the break down was and improve internal processes. In my case the take away should have been to not provide suggested repairs or discuss “damage” that is not fully outlined in the inspection report.Please Note: in the attached image I have removed the owner’s last name and cell phone number for his privacy. No other changes have been made to the email.

Our van Gran Caravan unexpectedly experienced a break down, all refrigerant fluid escaped. I was lucky to find out before driving away and that a neighbor recommended this mechanical garage. Dave walked to the next parking lot where our car was, inspected it and suggested to repair it immediately. He did it and in matter of two hours we were driving safely back home 40 miles away. Dave not only did that, that day was very hot, during our stay, Dave habilitated his personal AC office so that my wife could wait comfortably seated and away from the rest of their employees and a safe Covid isolated area. His charge was very reasonable too. I strongly recommend this garage and Dave.

These guys are great! I don’t trust many people with my cars and this is the only place that I will ever bring my cars to in the future. When my Volvo had an engine issue that I assume was the timing belt Mary and Dave quickly took it in and did a diagnostic for me. When it was discovered that I needed an engine replacement Dave worked hard to find me a new one as quick as possible. Unfortunately it was not worth the cost to put a new one in so he went above and beyond any mechanic would do and helped my mom and I find a dealership that would take my broken car as a trade even though it did not run. If you are looking for an honest mechanic that won’t break the bank I would highly recommend you check out D&H. They are like a family for your car!

I was there a year ago. I got a new set of tires from Costco and came for an alignment. My truck was just fine. It was a very long waiting time. Finally I got my truck back, driving home I noticed it pulled to the left a lot, they almost close. Next day I came back again complained they took the truck back, waiting again. Got it back it pulling a bit to other side now and the steering is not centered. I believe that they overcharged me too. I would never go there again. Very sad.

Seeing other extreme reviews in both directions, I think that satisfaction with this shop comes down to who you are as a customer. Ive used this shop for years and appreciate the thorough approach, and long-term lens applied to recommendations. I trust the shop, and feel the prices are reasonable. I want to replace and repair components early, to mitigate major issues down the road. On the other hand, for a customer who primarily wants a low price and minimum work performed, this shop is likely not to meet expectations. For those of us who seek high quality parts, labor, and shop communication, this shop is a gem. I dont understand cars well, and I feel that with D&H, I have a trustworthy and knowledgeable partner to make sure that our cars continue to operate efficiently and properly.

I take both of my cars here for all kinds of work, big and small. I found this shop while searching for a place that could handle my lowered coupe after an accident, and was impressed by their professionalism and communication. They sent me pictures of the damaged areas, and a detailed description of the work that needed to be done so there was no question.I later brought my minivan in to check whether the dealer had done what they said they had on a front axle replacement. Turns out they hadn’t, and I’ll never visit that dealer again.Since then I’ve had major repairs done on both vehicles and I trust D&H to do quality work and not overcharge me.

I usually work on my own cars, but I needed an inspection for my insurance company, so I found D&H here on Google. The first thing I noticed is that there are a lot of auto repair places in the area, but this one was the nicest and wasnt surrounded by unfinished project cars. The service was courteous and I was impressed by their thorough inspection and the software they use to show their findings. Their professionalism and communication left me feeling satisfied and their services a good value.

DO NOT GO HERE. These people are rude and are crooks- they overcharged me PLUS I just had them repair my radiator 8 months ago, literally it failed just yesterday and had to bring it in again. I’m in a different location now, so when I called to ask about the details of the warranty, and stated out of frustration and a little sarcasm; “it was just 8 months ago that you guys replaced the radiator so I don’t know why it’s not working again” the lady (I think Mary) replies; “well let’s see what’s actually wrong with it before you go making judge mental comments”!!!!😮😤😤🤯I paid 1500$ when they fixed it, they replaced EVERYTHING (radiator cap, radiator, even the hoses). At this different auto shop where I got it fixed today charged me 800$, and not only that but he confirmed that they double charged me for basically the same services ....

Extremely shady. Buys cheapest parts they can and marks way up. Techs not certified. Charges twice what other shops do for inspections cause supposedly theirs are better. Better off doing the repair yourself.

Very happy with my service today! I only had a few hours to get my brakes replaced and they were able to get it done for me. Not only were they efficient but they are probably the friendliest and nicest service repair shop Ive ever been to! Very accommodating!

I had a bad experience at my last visit. I dropped my truck there for Wheel alignment and tire rotation for about $130 because I was lazy to do that myself. The service advisor who called me was very rude and tried to push me through the unnecessary repairs. Ended up paying $159 just for front suspension inspection and nothing has been done on the truck. I used to be a Race Car Driver in two categories and I definitely know what is going on exactly with every little piece of my cars. After one day the owner, Dave, called me and tried to fix the problem with his employees behavior because he said he heard the conversation. He offered me to bring back the car to the shop and inspection cost would be included in the repair cost.Even though he tried to be helpful that didnt work for me.I will not go back there again because I believe exaggerating is part of dishonesty.4/20/2018Thanks for the prompt reply!Please dont put words in my mouth! The dealership’s diagnosis was about half the price and they came to the same conclusion. They also quoted me significantly less for the repairs. Was your diagnosis of higher quality & value? Although I ended up not getting my car repaired here, because it was still under warranty, everyone I dealt with at D&H was friendly and courteous, and understanding of my predicament trying to get info from my car dealership. If I ever broke down in their area I would definitely go there for repairs.

For those of you that want to provide a little TLC for your muscle car, this the place. The staff treats your toy as if it were there own, and the mechanics are very knowledgeable, and if they dont know the answer, they will find out. Highly recommend these folks for your classic cruiser.

Probably the most nicest and professionals i have met at a store of any kind. But let me tell you. They advertise as one of the more inexpensive mechanics in town. They tried to charge me 500 for fixing my van. Well just 10 minutes away i had it completely fixed and by certified mechanics. And they guarenteed the work. But they only charged me 160. How is that possible. 160 or 500. Wow. Im extremely offended.

Very old school mechanic shop where they put the customer first. I was originally recommended this shop for s wheel alignment. They did s great job with the alignment and found some additional items they recommended I give some thought to regarding reolacement or repair during their complementary vehicle check. The OEM Local Dealer didnt even do this. I went ahead and authorized the work. My vehicle is now running the best it has in years. I highly recommend D&H to anyone requiring repairs to their vehicle. This shop is very friendly with a good reputation for doing it right the first time.

We were late for our appointment (several hours) on a Saturday. The team at D&H accommodated us and finished all repairs by end of day. We appreciate the great support and spirit at D&H and have experienced quality work and timely work each time weve brought a car in for service.

Horrible experience dont get Your car serviced here, took for an oil change on a car that Ive had for no more than a year when I left my car was making some weird sound its never made before took it back they were very rude and dismissive took it to another mechanic that same day oil was black and over filled like they didnt even swap the filter just added oil. Save your money people find a professional place.

Did a solid job on a front alignment for my slightly lifted truck. Had a bunch of interesting and shiny classic metal on the lifts (60s cuda, 60s corvette, 50s jeep, 50s chevy)... its clear that some people who care about their cars trust this shop. I take one star off because they charge an additional $70 to re-calibrate the steering angle sensor which is really about 10-15 minutes of work. They also charged for a 4 wheel alignment when you can only adjust the front 2 wheels on this vehicle. The complementary inspection is a nice bonus and they send you the results via email which is cool.

I have used D&H several times this year, a few thousand dollars in repair charges. I needed my struts done and I asked them for a written quote. The quote was about 75% more than the other two I had gotten, and when I asked for an explanation as to the variance it just came down to their costs being higher. I could not afford the difference and decided to go with my middle quote from another repair shop.Mary called me on Saturday, 10/24 wondering why I didnt show up for the appt. When I explained I had never made one, that even though they dropped the price a bit it was still too high for me. At that point Mary said she would remove me from the database so I wouldnt get anymore reminders or emails. I said I was still planning on using them for other services, including the oil changes they had been doing for me. She paused a moment and then stated, those prices are for our VIP customers only. I understood completely that she no longer wanted my business and let it go at that.If someone who has already spent $$$ at your shop this year is not a VIP, then Im not sure who qualifies. Just because you lost a bid to a competitor is a crazy reason to not accept future work from someone. Its short sighted, petty and bad business practice. In addition it creates bad will, and as we all know, negative opinions spread faster than no opinion at all. Even if she reversed her decision now I would never feel safe about any future work they would perform. Kind of like trusting your food to the employee you just made a complaint about, would you let them serve you again?Ironically, the next day I received both an email offer and a postcard from D&H, despite Marys comment. I wonder if my 3 year warranty on prior repairs will still be honored.

Great svs even though i wasnt listed in the appointment list. It was pricey for a battery and install but quick and got it done in time to get to work.

This is my first visit to D&H, and it was wonderful experience. The customer service they provided, the shuttle service, and how they understood the issue I was having and their resolution.

Dave was very knowledgable. Ive never had such a positive experience with an auto shop and my car has never run better. If I have any other problems with my car I will bring it to Dave!

I am completely overwhelmed with the amount of people who are questioning replacing my fuel pump and the relay but then deciding not to fix the situation with the line the fuel fiter is attached to, thus voiding the warranty. Maybe if you would have discussed this issue with me personaly instead of inserting it in the fine print of the final invoice we might both have a better understanding.unfortunatly, you probably havent heard the last of me just yet.Bobby Caylor

Run away as fast as you can. PLEASE file a complaint with AAA approved auto repair, if you have a problem with D&H. They completely took me to the cleaners (I could attach all the paperwork, but youll have to trust me on this) and when I met with the owners, they were terribly rude and hostile. When I filed complaints with AAA, BBB and BAR, they attacked me and the size of my boyfriend. Really?? They actually told me, and I heard them telling another woman, its normal for our brakes to squeal, because manufacturers are removing the copper from brake pads. It was one lie after another. With him being a Rotarian, and them having a shop Golden Retriever, I just stupidly believed that they were honest people and had my best interests at heart. Wow, was I mistaken!
