I think the guys @ Contra Costa Auto Service did a great job. I havent taken the car on a worthwhile test drive yet, but they were up front and forward about pricing, the work needed, and what work they performed. They were highly suggested by other shops in the area as well.

I have nothing but rave reviews to share about this shop. I spent nearly 30 minutes on the phone with Alex going over a somewhat niche issue for me and he was tremendously helpful. Additionally, his recommendation was to pursue a different avenue for handling my problem, so this wasn’t predicated on my business. It’s tough to find a mechanic you trust, but you can absolutely trust these guys. I’ll be getting all my vehicles serviced here from now on.

I had my car towed in thinking I had blown the engine and I was happily surprised to hear it was the AC motor. Once diagnosed it was repaired within 24 hours and I was back on the road. Amazing and personable staff.

Professional, and accurate all the way around. When I want my car to be fixed right, I take it to these guys. They are a Jaguar certified repair shop. Have gone here for about 5 years now. Totally recommend them. Nice to have a repair shop I can trust. Worth the wait to get an appointment.

I recommend this auto repair shop. I used them for my BMW and they performed the same service for less than what the dealer wanted to charge. Preventive maintenance helps keep your car on the road safely, for longer. Alex, the advisor that I worked with, was very helpful in explaining the service that was recommended, why it was recommended, and what I could expect. Whoever the technician is that actually turns the wrenches did a fine job as well. I left a hidden item on the undercarrige that I knew would be different as long as the actual service was performed, and the results were as expected. I will be a return customer for my future needs, they are professional and trustworthy.

Great repair shop, tucked away on Concord Ave. New to the area, but I will be coming here for my future repairs. Had my Porsche Cayenne Ss drive shaft support bearing replaced. Dan, The Master Tech, completed the job in one day. To me, thats the epitome of a great Tech. No smoke, no mirrors. LOL. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and a couple hours later they called me and told me that the bolt for the bottom of my oil pan has been stripped which I don’t believe it was checked before I think they shipped it. So I had to wait an extra four hours for them to put the bolts back in or else they wanted to charge me $2000 to get a new oil pan and install it. I didn’t wanna do that so I ended up charging me six almost $700 just to put the bolts back in and finish the oil change. I feel like I was taking advantage of

I’m out of state but called in to ask questions about a vehicle I was buying that was regularly serviced by this shop. Alex was extremely knowledgeable about the make and model of the car, was able to discuss with me the trending repairs and recalls for that year as well so I could properly budget my maintenance plan for the vehicle I was about to buy. He even was able to give me recommendations on what parts I should upgrade once they need replacing based on how I planned to use the vehicle, where I could get the parts, and what the going rate was for those parts so I could find the best deal. If I’m ever back in town with my new ride, I’ll be sure to come back for all my service needs.

Contra Costa Auto Service: They are very honest and trust worthy business. Beyond good advice and fair prices they have a good turnaround time and will go to bat for their customers. I have had a couple issue with my 2011 Mini Cooper. The first issue they fixed at exactly half the price that Concord Mini quoted me ($800 rather than $1600). My most recent experience was even better. I brought my car in with another issue; Contra Costa Auto Service called me 30min later, explained the issue and informed me that this could be covered by an extended manufacturer’s warranty. Contra Costa Auto Service went to bat for me, called the dealer for me and saw to it that honored the terms of the warranty after they tried to get out of it.Key takeaway: Contra Costa Auto Service has great customer service, it is a trustworthy business, they are effective and efficient.

Highly recommend this place! Brought my GTI in due to a check engine light. Alex, the service manager was so helpful. I had no idea what was going on with my car, but he was able to explain to me why the check engine light was on and what was needed to do to fix it with no bs!! It is hard nowadays to find a trustworthy shop that doesnt cut corners and treats their customers with respect, but Contra Costa Auto Service checks all of the boxes and is my go to shop now. Alex is super cool and he explained every step of the way when I had a used transmission installed in my 91 4Runner. These guys are the best and I would recommend anyone to this shop. I wish I could give 10 stars haha!

Excellent shop with solid prices. Came in not only for general maintenance but a broken convertible roof mechanism as well. They quickly told me the work I had done previously with the dealer was shoddy so they took pictures and fixed it up for a good price. Took the pictures to the auto board and got all my money back from the dealer. Avoid Concord BMW and go to Contra Costa Auto instead to get honest work done.

After my car battery died on me my insurance suggested I have it towed here. I dropped my car off after-hours and was able to fill out an envelope and drop my keys off dispite them being closed. The staff were prompt in contacting me the next day, kept me informed on my vehicles status, and were able to get it back to me the next day even though they were booked solid with appointments a week out. Car issues stress me out, so the technicians keeping me informed was greatly appreciated.They are also a Carmax partnered garage, and since I have the extended Maxcare warranty on my car I will definitely keep these guys in mind the next time I have issues!

Went here to do a pre purchase inspection. Very friendly staff. I talked with Alex. As well as the mechanic - Dan. They gave me a thumbs up, there were a few things they noticed with the car (I was buying used), like missing tools and several touch ups that were not done properly/poorly. Brought up other minor items (relatively new car) like very slight shaking when braking. Dan checked the computer for history of issues/codes that it had before, none were of any issue. Overall, service here was above and beyond. Would definitely come here again.

Took my car to get look at and wasn’t please with the response of the Advisor when I received the call regarding the issue with my car. For one thing where all in a pandemic so let’s try to help someone and to criticized every issues with my car, is like he was happy everything looked bad in my car I don’t get it. At least he could’ve showed me the issues in my car everything was verbal and unprofessional comments towards my car. Well the good thing is I will never have go to there again.

Very accommodating/professional/personable. went in for a check engine light diagnostic and they were able to quickly determine the cause and recommend corrective repair. no pressure, gave option to schedule repairs for another day or if left with them they would be able to squeeze me in. repair was done and able to pick car up the same afternoon. overall a pleasant experience under less than ideal circumstances. would highly recommend them.

My engine in my Mercedes S63 AMG went out and I had Contra Costa Auto install a used one. These guys are excellent and know their craft. I have been using there services for at least the last 15 years. Adrian and his staff are well trained and very professional. I trust them unconditionally! They have never steered me wrong. First things first, I walked into the reception and was greeted by the sweetest dog. If that’s not a great start to the day, I don’t know what is.Alex and the crew were so wonderful. I told him what I knew to be wrong with the car but added in that I’d be going on a road trip in a few weeks and wanted to make sure everything was running smooth. I have been taking my cars to Contra Costa Auto Service for quite a few years now and always feel good about the service and value I receive there. This shop was recommended by my neighbor to me, which is mechanically inclined as well. I took it in and they did a diagnostic test on my truck. Found out what was wrong with it and that this was part of my dealers powertrain warranty. Point is this place is not looking to get over on you and tell you that you need to replace things that dont need replacing. I will bring my other vehicles here in the future. Dan and Alex are who helped me.

I needed a new mechanic in the CCC area and found these guys through one of my technicians. Adrian in particular was very communicative and solution oriented in helping me w/ my truck repairs. I really appreciate this type of service because I will often times than most, find myself calling the person to get updates, but it was not like this w/ him. The price for the quality of service as well, was also a big thumbs up!

One of thee most thorough, professional shops I have had the chance to deal with. I had an emergency with a tire that was losing air pressure fast and I was just about to drive back down to Los Angeles. They told me to come in and they quickly inspected my tire. Turns out there was a massive screw in it!!! They did a patch job on my tire to hold it. Almost two months later and the tire is still perfectly in tact!!! They were so fast with it all, thanks guys!!

Frank and his son are Gods gift to my car. They are sufficient and reasonable. Will help you out if you can not afford to pay all up front. But maybe thats just me. I have known him for a long time. But they are so cool. Love them!!!

Way overpriced. They wanted $1800 for a radiator change. We decided to take it elsewhere and they charged us $150 for a simple diagnostic. We had the radiator changed by a mobile auto service for $550 (you do the math). I gave 2 stars because they were friendly in the office when we picked up our vehicle.

Just bought a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel truck from a used dealer and already had problems. Took it to to a near by shop (won’t say any names) and their service wasn’t any where close to these guys. My truck left me stranded again for another reason today, and it turns out it was a hose that became loose in the hydraulic system which emptied out my fluid. They were up front and honest about it and charged me only for what it really was. Their hourly rates are cheaper than the last shop by far and gave me a welcoming services. Just moved to Concord and had an issue with my Land Rover LR3. Dreaded looking for a new mechanic, but Contra Costa Auto Service did a great job at a fair price and fixed my car quickly with no issues. Will bring my car here for all other repairs.

Alex and company has worked on my BMWS and Chrysler Crossfire Mercedes engine and parts. They are always accommodating and quick to remedy and issues that arise. If you own German cars why would you go anywhere else!!

I’d highly recommend this shop and WILL use them again for any other maintenance. I called for a quote for a failed water pump on my Pontiac Solstice and received a fair estimate (I had done a bit of research and the estimate was well within what I was expecting to pay). They got me in the same day I called and had my car back to me in less than a day’s time. I couldn’t have been more satisfied, Keith and his crew are top notch.

Had some diagnostic work done to my car here. Decided not to go with them for the work that needed to be done because I could get it done about 1/3 cheaper using OEM parts at another shop. Attempted to upsell me on other services.

Listen I am always iffy about this rating thing because I worry that it is friends or family rating a place good but this is my experience with the place my Engine light went on and the place I took it to didnt have time to work on it so they recommend this place. Now keep in mind that I live over an hour away from where Im at and had slept in my car and just got off work so I dont exactly smell the greatest but after explaining my problem they checked it within the hour and then started working on it. While they did that they had no problem letting me nap and even dropped me off at Chilis down the street and offered to pick me up from it later on. Keith thank you for helping me through the trying experience of being over an hour away from my home with a broke car.

Great service and reasonably priced!

They are hopping busy but serviced my three cars as I brought in for a variety of reasons. Write ups were thorough on newer Subaru, end of life Volvo and when older infinity cars engine light came on right after they serviced it for a chunk of money they rechecked and reset computer setting on and all okay now.
