I could never get enough of the Depot! If you love to find treasures for home decor or a collector of antique & vintage, this is for you. I picked up an old St. Francis statue for our garden. It was a bit pricey but he was exactly what I wanted for our home. I never say no when someone says let’s go to the Depot. It’s a must!
Some days at the depot are great, some days there is nothing. Every stall is independent so some places have overpriced items you can find most anywhere and then there are places with hidden gems. There is definitely the ebay effect on comics and those types of collectibles.
It is what it is! Drove 3 hours to find a lot of reproduction glassware mixed in with an occasional real piece!most of the furniture is true antique!Lots of hand lotion booths!Lots of Coke remakes!Lots of reproduction carnival glass! When all is said and done I have to wonder it the sellers even know there selling imported reproductions as real antique?I doing this for over 50 years can tell just by looking at it.Remember real JADITE has the company name on the bottom of each piece. Also antique glassware will almost never look brand new!Lots of Hobnail reproductions.Great way to tell is the M on the bottom of the piece. There are true antique dealers peppered through out the place. It IS a nice place to visit and I will return. Just be careful and research the item you intend to buy.
I got lost here and I loved it. (It turns out that they do have maps near the cash register.) This antique mall is huge, with lots of great finds for everyone! There is even a cafe inside, which the person who suggested The Depot at Gibson Mill to me said is great. Definitely give yourself a few hours if you’re planning on visiting!
Maybe one of the best antique malls I have ever been in. Fantastic layout and mix of antiques and other items.
The largest antique mall in the South with rows and rows of quaint objects from every decade in the past 150 years. Ellie’s Diner will help fight shopping fatigue. Send the non-antique shoppers to one of two breweries at Gibson Mill: Cabarrus Brewing or High Branch! Large parking lot. Highly recommended for your visit to Concord or for something to do on a boring weekend!
I loved this place. It was way bigger than I thought originally. I missed parts. I would go back and buy more stuff if I lived here. I recommend it for everyone because of the variety. Antiques, cottage stuff, flea market, comics and toys, really cool artisans stuff in one back corner. Seriously loved it. Enjoy
Found a wonderful selection of scented soaps and other bath supplies here! I purchased a London themed set (black tea and bergamot) and its my new favorite!
We are here on a girls trip and visited the Depot. We stayed ALL day, going up and down the isles of great vendor booths. We saw items from our childhoods and reminisced and laughed. Next time I come, I’m not flying. Gonna have to drive to bring more treasures home.
I love going to Gibson Mill Depot! Great deals and unique things! Last thing I bought was a metal donkey for my yard. But Ive also purchased hand towels, lavender, furniture, and cookies there too! So much to see and browse. You can get lost in there...thats why they give you a map and the aisles are named for city streets. LOL No shade here tho, all good things! Bathrooms could be better, but its a an old mill, so what else can you expect. I highly recommend visiting this place if you enjoy antiques!
Place has a lot of antiques, but is starting to fall into that trap of too much home decor and items that are not antique. Elles diner in the place is great, good food, reasonable price. We only buy occupied Japan and its getting harder to find.
Lovely antique mall with an enormous selection. I found their prices to be more reasonable than Sleepy Poet and its probably twice or three times the size. Was there for a hour and a half and was only in three rooms. Did find some lovely vintage lawn chairs that someone refinished and an outdoor table for my balcony. Wear comfortable shoes and have fun shopping.
Some nice antique shopping. Then food trucks and 2 breweries afterwards. All in walking distance from each other.
This place is amazing. I love all the items that are there and if you are looking for it it is probably there. The place is huge and you will easily spend a couple of hours there just looking at the massive space. There is even a small restaurant inside that has all sorts of goodies to eat. There is also a man cave where husbands/boyfriends/kids can go and just chill and watch some tv. There is a great section of huge bolts of material that you can buy for a significant discount. Love this store and find it fun to go to at least once a month.
Love this place! There is something for everyone here. Some spots can be pretty expensive but i always manage to leave feeling like i got a good deal. Take your time; the place is huge with lots to look at.
This place is huge and will not disappoint the person for just about anything. Nice that they have a small diner for food and drink.
Very fun place to visit, lots of antiques and curiosities! It was like stepping into the past. Lots of booths are set up like small living spaces. There was even one that was a treasure trove of vintage Polaroids and telephones. During my trip I was able to find a couple gifts as well as some nice deals on old vinyl. Overall a great place to look for home decor and other items of old!
Just looking around with nothing in mind but came out with a curio cabinet, pair of crystal lamps and metal/wood shelves. You never know!
Large format antique depot. Well run. Lots to see.
This is a amazing place! It will take you a couple of hours to see everything! The staff is very friendly and eager to help in any way they can.
Its an ok place to waste a couple hours browsing. Not much in the way of real antiques but a good source of decor pieces anyway.
Love this place. Always find interesting items. Wonderful atmosphere.
If I could give it 10 stars I would. The only disappointment I had was that we were pressed for time and couldnt see it all. A must stop for all antique lovers. But make sure you set aside plenty of time!
There was a lot of neat things to see, the restaurant was delicious and had a lot of great options. The guy running it was helpful and polite. Sadly most prices were high so while it was neat to look we purchased very little. The gentleman that checked us out was very snippy and rude. We had driven several hours to check it out and ultimately would not recommend anyone else waste their time.
The absolute best place to shop for antiques, etc.! Plan on spending the day...there is LOTS to see!!!
It is rows and rows and isles and isles of antiques and honestly at some points my wife and I thought we were lost but I wouldnt trade the time for anything in the world. If you want a wide wide wide variety of any and all antiques this is the place to come. From reclaimed barn wood to old milk crates this place has it all. My wife found several nice items to bring him Im just glad we brought my car and not her SUV! This place is high five highly recommended!
Huge, plan on staying awhile. Ellies Little diner was perfect for lunch !
Nice place to walk around, also restaurant inside is a very good value.
Great place to shop and see things you remember from your past.Very very large the largest in the south little bit of everything and some booths have % off sales. The prices are average but the sales are the deals! Look shop buy
Awesome place! Variety of vintage items. Massive selection. I spent 2 hours just walking and looking. They have a small eat in shop which is very reasonable and delicious.
This is a great place to walk around but be sure to plan at least a couple hours. It is quite large and lots of great stuff to look through.
Giving this store two stars solely because of their rudeness. If you close at 7pm, it is rude to turn off all of the lights at 6:50 pm. People at the desk were snippy as well. If you can’t be pleasant to your customers, then don’t operate a business. I am an avid collector and have visited antique stores all over the country—-I have never encountered rudeness such as this. The antiques were great, but if I were a dealer, I doubt I would rent a booth where buying customers are treated in a rude manner.
Wonderful items to choose from, lots of reproductions, antiques, & architectural rehab. Various prices and real finds, everything under one roof. Plan to spend the whole day if you want to see everything.
Must see antique mall! Even for those who might not be into antiques as much as I am, theres so much to look at and see. Its massive! Beautiful building and really well curated booths, it is my favorite antique spot in North Carolina. Plus great food at the diner inside and they sell some local and handmade goodies too. With food, breweries, the auto museum all at the mill you can truly spend a whole day here.
Oh my god this store is my heaven. I found them on instagram on accident! They are on the opposite coast so sadly I havent been able to go in person (yet), but I have gotten in contact with them to buy the cutest kitchenware Ive ever seen. Jana is the sweetest woman Ive ever talked to and her husband (Im assuming he was her husband) Eddie is just as nice. The whole experience ordering from so far away was amazing. Communication was great, they messaged back quickly and gave updates on the pieces I was interested in. Just the fact that they were willing to ship to me across the country shows how accommodating they are. I can tell they really care about their customers whether they are in state or out. Not to mention they did all this for me (just one customer) during their busiest time of the year if that doesnt prove their dedication to their customers than I dont know what does! Whenever I find myself back on the east coast this store is the first place Ill be stopping.
Wedding and reception all in one.Nice place.
If your in the area you need to check this place out! Allow extra time couldve spent a week in here! So much cool stuff
Fantastic place to find anything and everything. I would say that if youre looking for furniture, fixtures, or fabric, this is the place to go! Has decent vinyl and common cultural collectibles, but far from the focus. Antiques and modern pieces that have been made by locals can be found!
This is a HUGE thrift store. Tons of antiques and old things that you probably thought youd either never see again or at all. If you like clutter and nostalgia, youll be in heaven. Its a really cool place to explore otherwise in a museum-style. Although, you may be a little disappointed if you are looking for descriptions for some of the items youll see.
This place has some great old finds and cute stuff. It is really big, we didnt get to see it all before it closed. The down side, most booths were higher priced then other places like this. We only left with 1 item.
Great place to browse and look. You never know what you might see.
LOVE DEPOT, THE BEST TO FIND OLD VINTAGE LOOKING FURNITURE AND KNIT NECKS
Always find some keepers!! A LOT to see.
The amount of booths is amazing and the staff are super helpful!
This is by far the best antique shop I have been to. There are about 6 different show rooms with 100’s of vendors. I bought the most beautiful mirror there and refinished it with gold leaf. The mall is very well organized and is located in the old Cannon Mills and has some of the original floor planking which give it an authentic antique vibe.
Fantastic mall owned by patriotic freedom loving people! Thank you!
Went on a Friday evening, a few hours before they closed. I did not realize how huge this place was. In the time we had, I don’t feel like we covered it all. Definitely will be planning another trip so we can fully explore! Love the rust vibe of the old train station. Lots of Farmhouse items. Some antiques and some modern items. The staff was so friendly and nice. All employees and customers had face masks on and were obeying the NC state ordinance for COIVD19 and were 6 ft apart while shopping. Highly recommend this gem! Just make sure you have a few hours to spend in there otherwise you will not see it all. We noticed there was a brewery and food trucks that day and went to scoop that out! Looking forward to making another trip back!!!
Lots of fun. Plenty of antiques to see from so many different eras. So many Christmas ideas
Like visiting a museum where you can afford to buy neat stuff. Be ready to see something you want.
Great place to walk around and shop for unique pieces!
It is an awesome place and takes hours to get through all the vendors booths.
The Depot is incredible! Its also HUGE but there are so many beautiful things to check out. If you see something you cant live without, you better purchase it before you leave because chances are someone else will snatch it up.Theres also a lot of junk but the good massively outweighs the not so good. There are things of all price ranges too. The building itself, in my opinion at least, is gorgeous. I love the old, creaky wood floors. The large windows that let in tons of beautiful, natural light. Im partial to old, rustic things anyways so this is like shopping heaven for me.The first time I visited The Depot, I spent several hours here and still didnt get through the entire thing. I stopped to look at a lot of things though. As an homage to yesteryear, the different sections are named after rooms from the mill. You can even grab a snack or a bite to eat while youre here at Ellies Diner, located in the cotton room. I havent eaten here yet myself but I did grab a drink. The food certainly smelled good and there were quite a few people dining. If you spend enough money per visit youll receive a punch card so after X amounts of dollars spent per visit you can receive a discount. And if youre anything like me youll have to hold back so you dont spend too much. There is just so many awesome things to check out here.
Took my expecting daughter for her first visit. Lots to see! Perfect plate found for her wall collection!
The people who you need to unlock cases on the floor are extremely rude. I feel like we were bothering them. Need friendly people on the floor.
Overall great mall we had so much fun looking at everything and finding lots of treasures, staff on the other hand are hateful & pretty rude.
Real neat i got lost is so big i enjoyed the ambiance and the booths are like time capsules inside of the mill which is itself one
Love this place!!! Will definitely go back soon!
Plan for the day and bring water cuz this place is Gi-Normous!
Really huge antique store. They have some non antique/artisany stuff as well. Go on a weekday if you can, Saturdays are packed
A great Antique Mall full of never ending surprises! A great place to spend a couple of hours browsing
Great antique store. Really big with alot of different types of stuff. Plan on spending an hour or more to walk and look at the different booths. Staff was friendly.
Huge place with all kinds of neat items and surprises. Plan on staying a few hours to see all of it.
Oh oh oh my!!! 88,000 sq ft of tasteful antiques and beautiful, creative ideas for anyones home. Felt like the set of an HGTV show!! However....not that anyone was unfriendly, but staff (floaters) never initiated assistance like in many other antique malls.
Plan on a whole day you have lots of selection.. take your time look around and enjoy
Great place to spend the morning.
Huge! A wide array of antiques. Plan on a couple of hours to look around.
Awesome place...a must stop for you Pickers!
I’ve been to The Depot before, and I’ve always enjoyed their selection, but the lack of COVID precautions made my most recent trip my last. I didn’t see any signs requiring masks inside, even though it’s required in the state of NC. It was very busy and crowded on the Sunday I visited, and there were a lot of people not wearing masks or social distancing. Some employees had masks on, some didn’t. I didn’t see any of them ask customers to wear a mask. I put my items back and left without making a purchase.
Lots and lots to look at! Only got lost once!
I recently discovered The Depot and could not believe what I had been missing! I know now!! Awesome!
Great place but many people are still not wearing masks. I guess thats why we have over 4k per day positive testing .... oh wait, it is all just a big hoax and this is just a plot to have the government control us .... 😱 the other countries are in on it too!
For the first time since February my husband and I ventured out of the house and decided our first stop would be Gibson mill. WOW! All employees were wearing masks properly and, with the exception of one couple, all customers wore masks and social distanced. Browsed the ships, had a nice lunch at Ellie’s Cafe, and came home with some treasures. Thank you Gibson Mill.
Nice clean organized antique store with very helpful owners, thank you Betty Fay!
Good junk and rust!! We keep coming back here. With so many vendors, things change out frequently enough for out-of-towners like us to keep revisiting The Depot. We have found a lot of great, real antiques and vintage goodies here we still love to this day. If you see something here you have to have, grab it. We made that mistake once and it was gone the next day.
What a fun time this was!!!!Indoor flea market with just about anything you could want.
Very clean and good selection of merchandise.
Great vendors and huge space! Unfortunately Id recommend not visiting during peak hours since management is not enforcing mask use and a high percentage of weekend visitors feel entitled to not consider others safety.
Loved this store! Has something for every aspect of decorating and collecting! Very clean store and enjoyable experience. Looking forward to my next visit!
Great antique place to chill and walk around. However, gotta admit, the little cafe was my favorite. The food was wonderful not prepackaged or frozen and the ladies, very sweet and helpful.
Whoa! It a grow up candy store, except it furniture, collectables, high end fabrics. Dont get fool by the name, there are newer pieces of furniture. Organic honey, soap, cookies. Whatever your style or décor is Depot Antique have it and more. It a huge place wear your sneaker, lots of square footage to cover. Hungry? There is a restaurant on the premises. Now go and explore, you will love it. I did!
