Summary of the review below: High end brand retail store is being managed worse than a Dollar store. Associates with a confrontational, provoking, thug-ish attitude, a phone that is never answered, a manager that refuses to talk to customers.I’m a fan of the Hugo Boss brand, and shop from their regular retail stores / Saks frequently. First time experience at Citadel Outlet. Will keep shopping at Boss, but never at this outlet location again.Ive spent about $500 and purchased several items from the Boss outlet on 100 Citadel Dr in Commerce CA on 10/10/21. After coming home Ive noticed that one of the shirts had a stain on it, therefore went back to the store to exchange it on 10/23/21. When I talked to a store associate and explained him the situation, he went to talk to the manager after taking his time slowly, came right back and simply said that the manager was not going to exchange it, while offering me no reason for it. I asked to speak to the manager, associate replied immediately and said that the manager had gone to lunch and “will not talk” (managers name is David Alvarez as I was told). I asked when he would get back, and associate said “I don’t know. Maybe an hour”. I then asked for the second person in charge during his absence, and he replied “Dude I already told you. Not exchanging it. It’s not going to happen. Don’t you understand?”. The dry answers, the facial expressions and his provoking attitude instantly made me fully comprehend how people start fights with associates that I saw on Youtube videos. It truly is very easy to irritate and provoke someone if you wanted to, I realized... I told him not to talk to me in that manner, and he slapped his response right back and told me not to talk to him that way either. During our increasingly irritating, and frustrating conversation, the associate kept using very subpar tones, a combative attitude, and in the end just walked away as I kept asking to speaking to the manager. At that point I left the store with being refused to talk to the manager, being treated poorly and very frustrated.The service level provided me was by far the worst, and was actually irritating. I wished I had not gone back to the store at all, as it frustrated me for the rest of the day. Hard to understand how a high end brand would have such low class staff running their stores. Im pretty sure that this is not the level of interaction that Boss brand is aiming for. I also believe that the firms should be aware of these unsolicited customer feedback that companies typically pay to collect, and should retrain their associates and managers on their customer service skills. A manager with basic client skills could have easily handled an easy and frequent transactions such as an exchange without letting it escalate to this extent.

Horrible customer service. First off, I was not greeted by an employee. Second, I asked for size to a male employee and he told me they did not have the size... I proceeded to look for the size myself and I found it. Third, when I asked a female employee about an item on the 20% off section, she gave me an attitude and proceeded to ask me if I shopped there before. I felt like she insinuated I couldn’t afford the clothes. This is horrible! They need better employees.

Youve got to come here! Many basic items and office wear thatll serve you well. And some fancy ones, too.

Dont know why they have to be so unfriendly in this store but the manager himself is not much different. Only towards the end of my purchase he warmed up. Somehow seems they think they are pretty cool selling clothes for the Germans.

I just went into Hugo Boss and bought me a Dodgers cap and some badass jeans. Like a Boss! Sorry, couldn’t resist. The staff were pro and so helpful I didn’t wanna leave, although other times some have sucked worse than a lemon on the palate. I also liked the huge variety although certain sizes and styles were absent. The prices make this place an absolute must!

Horrible customer service. Why would they offer me stuff they don’t even have at the store. I was specific about what I was looking for and it was definitely in store. The girl was really rude! With acne on her face! She definitely sounded and looked like she hated her job! I caught her name I believe it maya or something like that! She was a manager? I spend hundreds and hundreds all the time here! What’s going on? I’ve seen her in the store helping others, but I finally got the chance to be helped by her and I just left with nothing! My intentions were to spend about $1k to take back home.

Hugo Boss experience was terrible, didn’t get any assistants like in CabazonAssociate were not available to assisted no of the 3 or 4th of them 2 nd floor (woman) asking for sizes or trying a suit and not able to get another size because they didn’t go back and check if I needed any size or if I was ok NOTHING!

This store has some killer deals on mens and womens formal and casual wear. My gf dragged me to some formal gala so I ended up having to purchase leather shoes and a tux plus tie as it was a Black Tie Event. She bought herself some nice heels and a mini red and black dress. Altogether it ended up being affordable for the quality, and the Tailor made us feel quite at home! He took perfect measurements on both of us which really helped! Like a Boss!

With all due respect f this place! I bought my dad shirts for his birthday, and myself one as well. They ring me up and hit me with the “sorry but atm we don’t have bags” I was like gift boxes?! NOPE. Literally threw it in a plastic, by the time I got home my shirts were all wrinkled and my dads gifts as well. So never going back. Lesson learned to shop online.

I was about to spend $200 in the store but when I arrive to the cashier they told me that they didn’t have any bags, “it’s okay I said” I asked her “ why should I spend $200 in a store which don’t have any bags” I requested talk to the manager, she also say that she couldn’t do anything about it and suggested me to put those items in my other store bag which make sense but I was spending $200 dollars and not bags. I feel discriminated and she didn’t do anything to help me to just find a simple bag. Just because is a Hugo Boss store where my people don’t go often doesn’t mean to get that treatment!Thank you

Worst place in the world. It’s Christmas Eve and I purchased a jacket for my father only to learn after coming home that the zipper does not work. I pull out the receipt and notice for the first time that this HUGO BOSS does not allow returns only store credit. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. If you’re at the Citadel in Downey, CA I encourage you to avoid purchasing anything from this store. Customer service will not assist — it’s only encouraged me to never purchase a HUGO BOSS item.

Great selection of fine fashion with an emphasis on trim suits, with deep discounts not advertised online. Have had mainly excellent service, though have had one guy who just was out of it. If youre getting a nice suit or two, youll save hundreds of dollars going here.

This store believes their clothes are so expensive and priceless they feel like they have the right to pick and choose who they can tell what to. Just went in this afternoon and their greeter who apparently thinks this store is amazing told me to be careful with my can of soda and if she could hold it at the counter for me. Yet didn’t have the courage to say that to her boss who walked in right after me. Told the manager and his comment was “I’ll speak to her”. She’s standing there plying with a ball tossing it in the air and catching it. Great customer service starts from the top down and obviously the manager is lacking this skill which trickles down to employees. Horrible service and would not buy an item from there. Rather give my money to brands that don’t think anyone would think they are a little child that needs a sippy cup. Good luck, the items you sell aren’t even that impressive and by the way your $500 jacket is not really expensive where people can’t afford it. Your store is located in an outlet. Don’t think your are top shelf.

My experience was surprising, upsetting and felt discriminated. The moment my companion and myself walked in I noticed the cashier staring and moving her head around as if she was trying to get a good look at us and if we had any bags. Soon after, another store member approached us and asked if we need any help. We said no and she walked away But keep close by. Later we went to browse the 3 floor. A few mins later as we were going to come back down the escalators another member came and lingered without saying anything to us ( hello, do u need help, etc ) and as we slowly step towards to escalators he did as well. I did not notice him but o felt q presence behind me and didnt think much of it. Then at the bottom I noticed there was a person behind me (boss member) we paid and left. All along I keep my opinions and thoughts to myself and my companion told me I hate when they do that!. I said Do what? He said when they follow you as if we are going to steal something. I said You know what I felt the same feeling, but I did not think to much of it and thats why I didnt say anything. So overall the clothing is nice, pricey but some items worth buying but the members made me and my companion under estimated, discriminated thinking we could not be able to afford items there.

Two floors represent a decent selection of attire at about half the price of normal Boss stores. When I was there last, most of the staff were entertaining themselves but willing to help if approached.

Yay its was awesome. It was just a long line wish they had some shade. Stand in the sun for 30 to 40 min to walk inside the stores.
