The owner and fashion expert greeted my family and I as we walked in. I had an idea of what I wanted but they were knowledgeable and quick to find options that suited me perfectly. I needed a suit for a funeral, but something I could also wear at weddings and on dates. They had me try on several options to get the look and fit I was wanting. They had a perfect eye for my size and my suit was to be tailored in just a few days!
Sam was phenomenal to work with. Aside from being just an interesting guy to talk to (he’s an engineer who later decided to create suits), he really knows his stuff when it comes to clothes. I’m very picky when it comes to clothes, and Sam patiently answered all of my questions. When I made poor requests, Sam kindly explained what the better option would be. I’m very glad I listened to him. Based on our conversations, I’m pretty sure he personally makes most of the things he sells in his store. The suit and dress shirt I bought are amazing. I’m planning on wearing them for years to come. If I decide to invest in another suit, I’ll be back. Thank you, Sam!
I got an amazing suit from Sofyano that really made my wedding day. I went in assuming I was going to get one thing, but Sam talked me into a bolder color that ended up being exactly what I needed. Sam was awesome to work with. I decided to get a new suit for wedding season and it was tailored to perfection. I also purchased a pair of shoes, and he did an amazing job helping pick out a pair to match with the suit, and then stretching them for a better fit.I also brought in an off-the-rack suit from Macys to be altered same-day. I dropped it off on a Wednesday at 11:00AM, picked it up at 4:00PM, and wore it on Saturday feeling like it was brand new.Great quality, great service and I will definitely be back in the future!
First time customer and thought I needed some alterations done. The gentleman working showed me a few tips, and that I actually did not need the alterations and explained why. Would’ve been easy to charge me for something I didn’t need, but instead gave me some meaningful advice at no cost. Will be going back when I actually need something.
Was not very polite with me and my husband choosing his wedding suit. Promised something then 1 hour later changed his mind. For couples in their last stressful minutes that wasnt very helpful!

I could not be more happy with my experience purchasing a suit from Sofyano. Up until this point I had never owned a suit and had to get one for my brothers upcoming wedding. I was looking around at all of the options in Columbus and I stumbled upon Sofyano. I called in the next day and scheduled an appointment.Sam did an amazing job of helping me find the perfect suit, and as you can see the fit was pristine! I even ended up getting every other part of my outfit there as well. There is NOBODY else in Columbus who even sells Italian suits and hands down you are not going to find a suit that fits like this anywhere but Sofyano. Big shout out to Sam for making my whole experience both enjoyable and comfortable. I really felt like like I was in good hands throughout the whole process. Not to mention I got constant compliments on my suit throughout the entire wedding. What a day it was!
Excellent suit shop! It was my first time buying a suit or dress clothes so I knew next to nothing. Both Sam and David are both extremely helpful and knowledgeable.They don’t try to sell you on anything and it is a very relaxed and welcoming environment. Their focus is on making sure that you walk out of the store feeling great with some sharp new clothes!I am really happy with what I got and I will return the next time I need anything else!
BEWARE!!! I read the reviews and visited Sofyano expecting to receive a great custom suit tailored to my body for myself and groomsmen. That was sadly not the case. It all started out fine because I brought Sam (13) guys who needed suits for our wedding and he said it would be no problem. Brought him around $6000 in business... boy did the tides turn after that first fitting. Sam had 2.5 years to make 13 suits... he promised us the suits would be ready by end of April/early May for our June wedding. He waited until the last minute to make these suits and almost every guy had issues with their suit and had to make 4-5 trips downtown to his store. There was several times my groomsmen came down because he told us the suits were ready and when they got there the suits fit terribly and needed alterations but Sam wasnt even at the store. One time my groomsmen went down and they couldnt even find his suit so he wasted hours of his day traveling for nothing. I personally made 7 trips down to see him because my suit was so off it was unbelievable. The first time I tried my suit on one of the legs was longer than the other and it looked like I had a diaper on because of all the extra fabric in the butt/leg area. He told me it looked like that because one of legs is longer than the other. I then had him take in the legs because they were so baggy (which he did in about 2min) and now one of the legs was tighter than the other. His reasoning this time was because one of my calves was bigger than the other. Sam had an excuse for everything and it was never his fault even though he was the one making the suit. He is very rude and also a liar. He told my groomsmen he called them to pick up their suit but they never came and that was the reason everything was delayed... but my groomsmen called him out and asked to see their phone number dialed in his phone and he couldnt show them because he never called because the suits were not done. Lied right to our faces about why items were delayed. He bad mouthed me to my own groomsmen and I have text messages contradicting things he told us. He is incredibly unorganized and his measurement system is a joke. He takes 2 measurements and then eye balls the rest. He refused to do any more work on my suit because he had messed it up multiple times already and was tired of fixing it. Wouldnt have needed fixed if he had taking better measurements and taking notes to ensure it was done right the first time. He takes no notes and says hell remember everything and then forgets and makes up excuses or blamed it on us when we didnt get for what we asked for. I had to take my suit to another tailor and spend additional $350 to fix it. The tailors words not mine... a toddler with a sewing machine could have done a better job. My fiance went to pick up the ties, suspenders, and pocket squares because of coarse they werent ready for my groomsmen when they picked up their suits and when she got there none of it was ready or bagged up. Had to search for ties, the suspenders were laying loosely every where and werent even boxed or individually bagged, and the pocket squares were a joke. They were all different sizes, dirty and it looked like they were jut cut out of unfinished left over material. Another example of how unorganized Sam is... some one my groomsmen white dress shirt had pockets on the chest and some didnt. 2.5 years wasnt enough time I guess and since everything was done so last minute by Sam we didnt have time to change anything and were stuck with whatever he provided at the time. Just additional note, Sam has friends in his shop just hanging out and he tends to pay more attention to them then he does to you the customer. It looks like some people had good experiences with Sofyano and that is fine but Sam is so unorganized and I absolutely do not recommend using Sofyano for your wedding. I am all for supporting local businesses and I wish we had a better experience but we did not so I just want people to be aware of my situation.
Sam did an incredible job setting me up with a suit for my wedding. I typically have a very hard time finding jackets that fit me properly but the first one that Sam picked out fit perfectly. All that was needed was a minor alteration to the sleeve length and I was ready to go! He also helped me pick out a belt and shoe combo which got a lot of compliments at my wedding. I never looked or felt better in my life.
I needed a suit for a summer wedding, going as a guest, and wanted to look nice. After reading some reviews on yelp, I picked Soyfano. I did have a couple concerns, one was that I am a larger guy and worried they wouldnt have something for me, however they surprisingly had a number of options. David, who primarily fitted me, was very helpful and worked me through some of my fit issues. I did spend more than I had anticipated, but left very happy about what I got as I added additional items I really needed. I will be going back in a few months for a blazer. Lastly, their tailor is spectacular!

I am not a suit guy at all, but they were extremely patient in explaining everything to me and helping me try all kinds of different jackets and ties to find the right fit. The suit, shirt, and tie fit perfectly and I am already getting compliments on them. I couldnt imagine a better suit shop anywhere. A fantastic local place for a hand-tailored suit! My husband bought his suit here for our wedding, and he loved it so much that he went back for another navy suit. He now has two great suits that have held up well and look as good as the day he bought them. Sam and his staff will work with you to find exactly what you want and tailor it to fit you perfectly. Why rent when you can invest in a suit that can be worn for years? Not only that, they are constantly updating their materials and styles to stay fresh. Highly recommend!

Sam is the man! My non-suit wearing husband looks incredible in his suit. Sam even encouraged him to go out of his comfort zone and helped him pick out a new shirt and tie. He got shoes to go with it which are gorgeous, he gets compliments every time he wears his suit.Sam has also branched out to create womens clothing. Not only are they reasonably priced, not only do they have something that will make anyone, male or female, stand out, but the owner stays late to personally tailor your clothes or repair them as necessary. Sam is awesome. I went in with a group to buy a suit for my wedding. I wasnt sure what he would make of selling a tailored suit to a woman, but he didnt blink an eye. After trying on several suits, I chose the one he had picked out first. Obviously, Sam has a terrific eye. Next, I went through several rounds of alterations until we got the fit just right. Sam was patient with me as I went back a couple of times to make adjustments. At the end of the day, the tailoring was what he had recommended at the beginning of the process. Very nice and helpful staff selling high quality clothes. I stopped by for a bow tie and they seemed embarrassed that they didnt have any self-tie ones, only pre-tied. Regardless, I found one that I liked and bought it.

I had a great experience getting a suit at Sofyano for an interview. Some stores are fine selling you an off-the-rack suit that maybe partially fits just to get your purchase. Sofyanos doesnt do that. After they find your style they insist on completely tailoring to your body. Their philosophy is that each suit they send out the door is a reflection of their brands standards, which are exceptional in my experience. The material was high quality, the staff was clearly skilled, and I am a satisfied customer. Keep in mind that alterations can take a week or two depending on their queue. It is worth the wait.

I came in knowing absolutely nothing about tuxedos except that I needed one for my wedding. Sam was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and able to direct me to a style that was perfect for the occasion. In the end I had a perfect tuxedo that I purchased for a price comparable to what a rental would cost at a local competitor. Would highly recommend without reservation.

We were so impressed with his fabrics, and work, that we brought back all my husbands ill fitting suits and jackets for alterations. He is honest, and fair. I needed proper attire for a black-tie event that was less than 3 days away. Sofyano was close by and had some good reviews so I thought Id try my luck to see if they could set me up in time. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did they have several selections for me, but also that they never once questioned if they could get the tailoring done in time for the event.David was extremely helpful with coordinating an outfit that was stylish and that I could also wear to less formal events. I was one of the best dressed attendees at the event and my wife said that she prefers the way my new Sofyano suit fits over my other two Hugo Boss suits that I paid twice as much for. If only his taste in cars was as good as his taste in clothes. (Thats an inside joke for David related to our small talk during my experience)Would recommend!

Excellent suits for a great price. If I was basing it only off the suit Id give this place a 5 star easily. I did have a few issues along the way though. I was never contacted when my suit was ready, in his defense he never said he would but it would be a nice touch. When I did go to pick up my suit the ties I had ordered were no longer available despite the fact that I had paid for them in advance and they were available at the time. Instead I had to use 3 different types of ties, in his defense again they were similar enough that none of the guests noticed but it was still an issue I shouldnt have to contend with. Overall a great place and despite the issues I would return for another suit because it was simply that well made and priced.

After trying on several types of suits include different cuts and colors we narrowed it down to a couple and I picked from there. His suits were affordable and any alterations were includes with the price of the suit. When I picked up my suit, he had me try it on to ensure fit and accuracy. Best place I have every been to get a suit/tux. I came in to get my wedding tux and worked directly with the owner throughout the entire process - he is a pleasure to work with! No high pressure sales, to deals to get you to buy additional items, great prices, and great service! I will definitely be coming back here for all of my suit and tailoring needs in the future.
I went to Sofyano for my wedding suit and my groomsmens. I am very happy with the results. The final result looked great, and Sam and his staff were very personable.
The suits are beautiful, quality, and custom tailored. Very affordably priced and Sammy even gave me a discount off the original price to put me in the perfect suit for me. The customer service is top notch as well. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning in the future.
I had a great experience buying a suit for my wedding at Sofyano. After asking some questions, Sam pointed out several good options. He struck a good balance of guiding based on his expertise while not being pushy. The suit was ready several weeks later and looked great. After taking the suit home one of the belt loops came loose - I stopped by over lunch and they fixed the issue in minutes. Talking with Sam, you really get a sense of his passion for his work. Ill certainly be going back the next time I need to pick up a suit.
Great experience and fast turnaround for a custom suit at a great price. With my wedding coming up in 3 weeks, I thought I could just walk into one of the big box suit stores and walk out with a tailored tan suit within a few days. I quickly found myself in a terrible position as (apparently) the big box stores do not carry tan/beige suits for purchase. Jos. A Banks didnt even attempt to help me find an option for a tan suit, and Mens warehouse seemed to be dumbfounded when we wanted to try on the Tan suit they had available for rental, stating, You cant try the tan suit, you have to try on the black suit and well fit you from that. I called a handful of other shops around Columbus, all stating that 3 weeks would be to quick of a turnaround time for them to provide a suit.Enter Sam at Sofyano! He was completely willing to get me a suit by my wedding and provided me with a level of trust that I havent experienced in any other retail store providing custom work. Not only has he provided me with a custom suit before the wedding, but he got it done with a week to spare! I just went in to pick up the suit this past Saturday and he has me looking like a million bucks with a beautiful suit that is going to last! My fiance is loving the way it fits. The big box suit shops have always just thrown a tent around my legs making me look larger than what I really am and leaving me looking like a bag of sand. Sam was able to make a pair of pants that look phenomenal. I couldnt be happier with my experience and Im looking forward to going back to get a Navy suit and also a pair of jeans from his 89 and Pine line!
