Inquired about a patio and they called me back same day (that was appreciated). Within a couple days or so, Zach came out and worked with us w/ a design we wanted. He got back w/ us within a day or so with the plans, looked it over, discussed price (which was amazingly competitive), visited their showroom for colors/paver styles, and started contract w/ them shortly after. Zach kept us informed the entire way. From signed contract to completion, 6 weeks (they had the patio built in 3 days). Well designed, looks great, and cant wait to enjoy it. Thanks Zach for everything!

We worked with Suncraft to build a screen room with an outdoor fireplace, composite deck and small paver patio. Our designer was Eric and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience with him. All of the crews were great and did an excellent job. All of that said, the owner Jeff Borovetz may be the most unprofessional, rude and petulant person I have ever worked with when hiring for services. We are happy with the finished product, but the experience of working with him was horrible. Unfortunately, every single sub-contractor that worked on our project felt the same way. If customer experience matters to you at all I suggest working with another company.

Very unprofessional. I scheduled to get a quote for a new patio and Ann did not show up two times. The first time she text me 20 minutes before she was supposed to arrive saying she couldnt make it. The second time I left work early to be there and she didnt show up or even bother letting me know she couldnt make it. She also never responded when I asked if she was still coming nor did she try to reschedule with me. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

We love the screened in porch built by Suncraft. Timeline of project was adhered to and met our plans. It is well crafted and a beautiful new addition to our 1925 home. It truly looks like it belongs and is beautiful to look at -curb appeal wise. Eric did an impeccable job listening to our needs with the space and designing it with those in mind. We had estimates done from 3 other builders. Eric made us feel comfortable that the job would be as amazing as it is. Any challenges along the way were met with great consideration for our needs. Thank you to Jeff, Eric, Arron, Josh and all the staff who were professional and focused on doing an awesome job for us. I dont have photos as of yet still finishing decor etc. We love it.

We had a screen porch built last year. One of the support beams is splitting. Called to see what we needed to do to get someone out. Was told by whoever answered phone to take pic and email. Did that have heard nothing. Emailed again was told through email that someone would contact us or we could call in. Long story short, we are pleased with screen porch. But pray nothing goes wrong. Very very poor communication. Honestly am worried they will do nothing. They did call and are very satisfied.

Similar to another reviewer below, after requesting a quote, MR. J stopped by appointment for what I thought was a consultation regarding our patio options. I had originally reached out to receive a quote for a concrete patio, but wasn’t informed this company doesn’t do concrete patios until Mr. J arrived.I had wanted to explore options regarding roof coverings and patio options, but Mr. J was too interested in finding out exactly how much money I had to spend. Which by the way, was the reason I had them come out in the first place, to figure out how much the patio would cost and how many options we had. At the first hint that 20,000 was too high for our budget, J gave a condescending “thanks” and “let me know if you figure things out,” and then quickly left.Never have I experienced such an unprofessional, unhelpful, rude consultation. J offered no help, no solutions, advice, or options, and then left me like a bad blind date. I couldn’t even get him to offer a single solution before he left.Unless you begin your conversation with a “I have 50 grand to spend” don’t expect this company to provide any helpful services, or even be friendly in general. I hope Mr. J has a solid Plan B for his career because he’s definitely not cut out for in home consultations.

Very Disappointed...I met a gentleman from Suncraft at the 2019 Home and Garden show who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When were finally ready to rebuild and add onto our deck I contacted Suncraft, thinking we would definitely go with them for our deck rebuild and expansion. The young man who called to set up an appointment seemed very inexperienced and a bit unprofessional but I figured he was just scheduling the appointment.Wrong! Not only was this kid extremely condescending and arrogant, but I literally had to ask him to stop talking and let me tell him what I wanted at least 3 times. After about 15 minutes of this I was so frustrated that I told to send me his estimate and I went in the house knowing that I would never open it because the he had absolutely no idea what we were looking to build and I had already wasted enough time with him.I called Suncraft and asked to speak to the manager, owner, head of sales..or someone in charge...thinking Id request that they send an experienced individual who who actually wanted my business...the woman I spoke with had no idea who any of those people might be...but assured she would have someone return my call. No call...Moving on to a company who is interested in our business.

So we had a salesman come by our house to give us quote on a paver patio and sunroom addition. Lets just call him J.Well, J must have thought just by looking at my beater truck in the driveway that we didnt have money to spend because anytime we would bring an idea his response was, you know thats really expensive. He must not have taken into consideration the brand new $600k house might need a patio.During his visit he was extremely condescending and just plain unfriendly. He didnt bring any ideas of his own to the discussion at all and would just keep saying, Well, what do want?He stayed about 10 minutes and left providing us with no information. Never got a quote or any type of follow-up. Worst of all, its the middle of a pandemic and he didnt even wear a mask or take any safety precautions at all. J just totally sucked. Suncraft must have pretty low standards hiring people.

By the time we discovered Suncraft at the Home and Garden show we had been searching for a screened porch design and builder for a year. Other companies had wanted thousands up front just for a design, without overall pricing. We thought that was crazy.Eric from Suncraft was our project’s architect, and pricing was clearly described in writing, AND was fair. We LOVED his design, and it sailed through our HOA and City building dept. The crew and company President were polite and responsive. The end result exceeded our expectations. Our new room is something we enjoy nearly daily, and it is fabulous!!

April 26, 2020, I am giving SUNCRAFT CORPORATION an A+ RATING for a job well done.. The Company went above and beyond to build my awesome Sunroom and Deck. I am very well pleased with the outcome of a job well done. Jeff was a good listener and very kind and patient. He went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. Ann the sales lady was fantastic. She was also kind, pleasant and patient. I chose Suncraft Corporation because other companies that wanted my business were talking down on Suncraft but I wanted to show other customers that this company is as awesome as any other company. The crew they hired was awesome. They all worked in shifts and not getting in the way of each other. I really like how each step was performed. The workers were wonderful people. I mean the construction crew. Whatever I needed done they were on it. I would gladly recommend this company to others. They are fair in their prices and very affordable. Please let this company show you what they can do for you. Again, they are great. Im enjoying my sunroom and deck tremendously. I have no complaints or problems.

Suncraft completed a new screened porch and paver patio at the back of our house about a month ago, and I do not recommend them to others. The finished product is satisfactory, but the building process was an ordeal.(1) We signed the contract for our project in May 2018 based on their projection that it was a 3-to-4 week project and they would begin construction in July. It was September by the time they were ready to start but, since we were scheduled to return to Florida in October we postponed the project until our return in April, 2019. The project was finally completed at the end of June. (2) Project management was non-existent. After the owner argued with me to permit my own plumber to come in and perform a two-hour job around his crew, the project sat idle for weeks at a time when they waited for sub-contractors to arrive or, more often, were pulled off to work on other projects the company had going. (Don’t let him tell you the delays were caused by waiting for city inspections – the inspectors always came within a day or two of being notified.) (3) The company’s work crews were sloppy in their work (but the sub-contractors were all great!). The framers failed the city inspections twice, the first time for lack of proper structural support for the roof! They left a pile of trash in our front yard, that was picked up only twice during the 8 week construction period. After they finished and left, we found cigarette butts, bent nails, empty soda cans, and small lumber scraps in our yard for several weeks. (4) They do only what is specifically called for in the purchase contract and nothing more. They tried to get out of doing some simple wiring for my sound system by claiming that “it’s not in the contract” and I had to show them where it was, indeed, in the contract to get them to do it. Since construction methods are not specified in the contract, they stapled the floor-to-ceiling screen to the frame of the room and covered that with wood trim – instead of building a frame for each section of the screen, making it reasonable to maintenance and replace the screens when that’s needed. (5) Communication is very difficult. Their primary crew did not speak any English (or, at least, would not admit that they did), so to any request they would answer “talk to Jeff about that.” Jeff Horowitz is the owner of the company and is unpleasant and rude (see many other reviews for descriptions of that). Our salesman was pleasant, but unreliable in communicating – plus he seemed to have little influence within the company anyway, so it did no good to ask questions of him.Let the buyer beware!

I wanted to write a review to hopefully help the next person like me. The process started out great, our Designer/Sales person did all the right things but when it came to delivering, that was a bit of another story. We were told that our project would start during a window of dates and it was over two and a half weeks later when it actually started. I was given numerous excuses just about every two days as to why they were not there but that was only after I called them to ask. I feel the owner (Jeff, I believe) does not represent his company well and comes across very arrogant. He takes short-cuts in his work as I learned and I had an issue with my project that they have refused to call back to take care of. I had to hire someone to come in to take care of the issue. If you decide to use them just make sure you get everything taken care of before you pay. After I paid them, I found out of an issue that wasnt apparent during the inspection. I wanted them to come out and look at it but they would not call me back. (Which is why I had to hire someone.) I would not recommend this company to anyone!

This year I added a small deck to my home. Suncraft met and exceeded all standards for professionalism! It was a long and arduous process because a zoning variance was necessary. Suncraft completed all the paperwork, filed all the documents, AND attended the numerous local and City zoning meetings with me. I could not have done it by myself and am ETERNALLY grateful to them for their support. The project designer, Matt R. was supremely capable in his design of the deck. He considered items with insight and precision, such as how to prevent ice or snow damming against a door, how to access a drier vent, smooth transitions, and many other things in addition to function and aesthetics. The final design was absolutely stunning and I am forever grateful to him. The professionalism and safety of his design FAR exceeded that submitted by any other company. The two installers, Gary and Skylar, worked as a well-oiled team. Corners are square. Screws are tight. Lumber is in good condition. Everything is perfectly level. No splits or checks. They worked extremely hard but cut no corners. I was in awe of the old school carpentry ability of the team; they really did it right. Ive had a number of very disheartening experiences with repair/installation/construction companies over the years and have come to regard them as untrustworthy until proven otherwise. This experience with Suncraft was a joy and a confidence-builder: reassurance that projects really CAN be done well. I am forever grateful to Suncraft for their time, care, and expertise!

Just tore out patio installed only 5 years ago by Suncraft. Avoid this company entirely- there are much better competitive options out there. The black edging was installed wrong and popped up over an inch above the patio edge causing a trip hazard. The sand only lasted a year and washed away easily (we had it powerwashed and sand replaced). The seating wall was installed at grade only so eroded away and started to tip (it should have been buried at least one course underground). The middle area sunk enough that my grill tipped and we discovered not nearly enough base was under the patio. As far as the deck- it was done extremely poorly. The step treads are 11 wide in some places and as little as 9 in others! Were completely ripping out the treads (which are slowly sinking in the ground) as we replace the patio to fix that, too. Oh! The best part was the deck installer used finish nails which pop up slowly over time causing razor sharp foot traps all year long. Weve been slowing pulling them and replacing with deck screws.TLDR? Stay AWAY.

We are a return customer of Suncraft. In 2010 they added a beautiful year around family room that included a paver covered patio porch. They took care of all the details of the project including planning, permits inspections and material procurement. This project turned out as a wonderful addition to our home and life. The employees were hard working, friendly and anxious to please our needs. Since this project turned out so well, in 2017, we again contracted Suncraft to update our two bathrooms. They built a wonderful oversized shower in the place where we once had a soaker tub, plus updated all other aspects of the main bathroom. The lighting, cabinetry, tile work and all other work were professionally and beautifully completed. We are so happy with both projects we would highly recommend Suncraft to others. We had a small screened lanai on the back of our home that was too tight for entertaining. In 2007, we interviewed several local contractors in Columbus Ohio to expand the lanai and add a paver walkway from the driveway to the larger structure. We selected Suncraft for the job.Their designer Julie was a joy to work with, and suggested some features that we had not originally considered but happily incorporated. The work was done in as timely a fashion as possible, with the only delays attributable to rainy weather, The crew was very good about clean-up at the end of each day and at the end of the project,We are now enjoying our seventh full summer in our lovely lanai. The only item that keeps me from giving a 5-star rating was that the gutter installation was not initially completed, but once it was brought to Suncrafts attention, they sent a crew out immediately and corrected the problem. We are very happy with our well-proportioned screened room and its multi-functionality.
