Columbus office closed. They didnt notify me. Now I want to get my belongings out of storage and they cant deliver my box to me. I will have to hire a truck and movers to get my belongings. And the Columbus location is only open M-F 9a - 5p, so I will have to take a day off work to do it. A little notice that the location was going to close and we could have avoided all of this.UPDATE: I called the number given and they did nothing. They said I got the storage I paid for and that they couldnt do anything about my situation. So thats whatmaking it right: means to Smartbox. No warning that their services had changed, no help with moving my stuff out of storage. I know there wouldve been a fee for that, but it would have been less than what I paid for the rental van. Not to mention I wouldnt have had to take the day off work.
Renting and delivery of my smart boxes was seamless which is why I’m giving Smartbox two stars instead of one, however the pick up of my smart boxes was an absolute nightmare. My smart boxes were to be picked up on a Wednesday. My husband arrived home Wednesday evening and the smart boxes were still in my driveway. After trying to call the office Wednesday evening to get an explanation, I was told I would have to wait until the next day to call the local office. Upon speaking to someone at the local office, I found out that their pick up truck had broken which is why they couldn’t get my boxes until Friday. Normally this wouldn’t be a huge deal but we were getting photographs of our house Thursday and had to show our house to potential buyers with three smart boxes in our driveway - not a good look. I have been trying to get someone to call me to discuss reimbursement as I do not feel I should pay the entire bill and have heard nothing. So it seems Smartbox is good at getting your money and that’s where it ends. I would HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. Smartbox, your customer service is awful.
Terrible customer service. At loading location: delivered on wrong date, placed in wrong place, picked up on wrong date. At unloading location: delivered wrong date, empty box. Both phone calls were not empathetic and promised communication from the local office. Still haven’t heard from the local office and no communication regarding refunds. Will never recommend this service to anyone.
It is impossible to reach you over the phone. Callback fails after first ring. And I got a late fee when I’m on autopay. How/why/what???
