We hired Mr. Mover for a local move between two four-bedroom houses. Jeff quickly and expertly examined our home and its contents and gave us a guaranteed not to exceed estimate -- a huge benefit of using this company, in my opinion. It was reassuring to me to know the maximum amount I would pay. I interacted on several occasions with Pam and Stephanie in the office. Both were very helpful, responsive, and personable. This is a family company, and it really feels that way. The movers worked extremely hard and were polite, friendly, cooperative, and efficient. Moving day went quickly and smoothly, and the crew even asked me if I wanted anything moved around before they left. Mr. Mover is a reliable, honest, trustworthy, and professional company, and theyre very good at what they do. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

This was a move from Ohio to Maryland.First of all, if you are planning a long distance move, DO NOT think you have to call one of the big national movers. They contract with local movers, so then you are paying two companies. Start by contacting local movers directly, and you will save some money. Previously all our moves were paid for by either the Navy, or my company, so I never paid attention to price before. Going with a local mover will definitely save you money.Mr. Mover of Ohio was by far the most positive moving experience we had, and thats after 28 years in the Navy moving every 2-3 years and moving twice with my former company. The office staff were very responsive in setting up the initial walkthrough and were always polite and professional in their dealings with us. Our move got a little complicated due to the closing date on our house in Ohio shifting and the commensurate delay in getting our money from the buyer. Mr. Mover BENT OVER BACKWARDS to accommodate us, and I know that they worked with us in ways that a huge corporate moving company would not be willing to.The packing crew was fantastic. Upbeat, hardworking, and took great care of our stuff. The crew lead/driver Eric was also amazing. Good attention to detail. Great job planning and executing the load at the house and at our storage unit. Oh, and everybody was on time and ready to work every day.Our household goods were transported without incident and the delivery was made on time. The unloading crew was very hardworking, and they made short work of getting our boxes and furniture off the truck and spotted in the house. Mr.Mover’s movers moved a large heavy armoire from the lower level up two flights of steps, around tight corners and made it look easy. They called ahead and arrived promptly at the arranged time. It was easy to schedule even though this was a very small job we felt like it was a priority in their day. The gentleman were personable and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Obtained an estimate for packing and moving our house. The estimate was comparable to others but the not to exceed guarantee and insurance sold us. The team for packing was prompt, considerate and just nice. They packed everything efficiently and quickly. The move, on one of the hottest days, was again efficient and quick. They placed furniture exactly as needed and remained considerate and polite throughout the day. Final cost was even a little less than the estimate. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Mr. Mover did a fantastic job at a fantastic price. The ONLY company I got a quote from who gave me a guaranteed not to exceed price, which they stuck to and cost $900 less than the next lowest bid. They arrived on time, both to pack and move, and did an above average job with the care in their packing and moving. Their truck may not look the fanciest, but theyve got it where it counts: price and service. Also, the guy who did our estimate was JUST the nicest guy.

For a 1-bedroom apartment, it took them 2 hours and 15 minutes total, including travel time. Movers were friendly and very careful with all of my furniture. Nothing was damaged or broken. I hired Mr. Mover to help me move larger items and a number of boxes for an in-town move. The movers were friendly, on-time, polite, and extremely hard-working. I had an excellent experience with Mr Mover. I strongly recommend getting the in person estimate, because if you are anything like us you will drastically underestimate how much stuff you have.On move day they showed up and installed padding around the doors and banisters and took great care to do no damage. They would not even allow me to lift a finger in any way. It was the most quick and painless move I have ever experienced.

I reviewed several companies and had several come to my house and give my estimates. I felt most comfortable with Mr. Mover and i was right. The movers showed up on time and even though they were under staff still made the entire move in one with no damage to my property or residences. Great experience. Hired two guys and a truck for 6 hours. They both worked hard and moved our whole house. They put protection on flooring at our old house and new house. Took great care in protecting our household items. If I ever move again I will diffently hire again.

Mr. Mover provided excellent advice on how to execute a move after 32 years in the same house. They were very helpful in answer questions several times as we prepared for the move. Mr. Mover gave us various alternatives at different prices. We opted for self-packing, which saved us a lot of money, and allowed us to sort/discard/identify our possessions to make it easier at the new house. The crew worked very quickly at our old house and our new house, actually finishing in less time than was estimated. The crew was courteous and made sure that all of our possessions were placed exactly where we wanted them. We were pleasantly surprised when we were actually charged less than the firm price, due to the quicker move. This family-run business has been doing this for a long time, and it shows. This was a very good experience.

I researched Angies list for movers and came across two that I felt seemed the best. One never responded, but Mr. Mover of Ohio responded promptly. The guy (owners husband I believe) came out to give an estimate. His hours were super flexible, which was great for us because we had already taken off a lot of work due to building a new home. He was on time, courteous and obviously very knowledgable. He was able to estimate all of the expenses just by eyeballing each room/closet. The company does a guaranteed not to exceed estimate and he gave us one at $1800. For us, this was a great estimate. We had 2000 sq ft house with a shed and full garage. Plus they supplied us with plenty of boxes, tape and paper stuffing, which they dropped off at our convenience closer to move day. On the day of the move, four guys showed up with two trucks right on schedule. All four were super friendly and personable, although very hard workers. They got started immediately and were able to pack those trucks so methodically. Nothing appears to have been damaged in the move, which doesnt surprise me based on the care in which they handled everything. They also do a wonderful job of preparing the job site- laying carpet and plastic down as to not ruin any flooring. Even with those things down, I noticed them often checking their shoes throughout the afternoon to make sure. Anyway, they put stuff back together for us, placed it exactly how we wanted it and were very fast in doing so. I only saw them take one well deserved 5 minute break the entire 6.5 hour day. We sent them off with pizza and I believe they were headed to another job. These guys do not mess around. The final cost came out to $1687--great that it was under estimate but so impressive that the original estimate was so spot on.On a side note- I just had surgery on my achilles and the moving guys were so considerate of that. For instance, they offered to get me things that were out of my reach, move my chair for me, etc. It was definitely above and beyond what they were hired to do.I would 100% hire these guys again and will be recommending them to anyone who needs moving services.

They came to our house to estimate the charges based on the house items we have and gave a very competitive price. They were late, took 15 min break each hour. Didnt bring big enough truck, even after having an estimate done on each piece to be moved.The driver had 2 children with him which to me was unacceptable and a liability.Then was asked to give my credit card information over the phone while all 3 workers were in the room listening.I used Mr Mover before but was truly disappointed this move in May 2017.

Mr. Mover helped me with four moves in five years, a couple of which were pretty complicated by multiple locations for pick-up and delivery. I recommend them! Although there have been a few hiccups, Judy has always gone out of her way to make things right. I appreciate doing business with people who strive to be transparent by communicating well and being reliable--having live humans available to troubleshoot is invaluable, because moves are stressful and fraught with surprises.

Littering from the truck. Was following behind a Mr. Mover truck this morning going North on New Albany Rd. @8:40am passing over SR161 and noticed something fly out of the passenger window. Looking over at the side of the road, I see it is garbage; an empty juice bottle or something. Wasnt aware that people were ignorant enough to still do this type of thing in the modern age but I guess I was wrong. Not sure who it was or if this will ever make a difference but definitely not going to hire people like that.

A negative experience. A bookcase was destroyed and I was informed that it would be repaired. The company apparently works with a furniture restorer. Not only did I not receive a response from the restorer, I never received any kind of response from Mr Mover.Response to owner’s comments: You mention “ We did give the bookcase to Woodlanders to repair but unfortunately we are at the mercy of working within their guidelines and schedule. “THE BOOKCASE IS AND HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION SINCE THE DAMGE AND IT HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN TO WOODLANDERS.
