Awesome experience with Preferred Homes of Columbus! My husband and I completed the entire purchase via phone and online October 2020. We purchased the home as a second home/possible vacation rental. The entire team at Preferred Homes was extremely helpful and very professional. They were always accessible and gave great advice. The home we purchased is everything we hoped for and more. As with any new construction we anticipated some issues, but they were minimal and Preferred Homes immediately addressed any and every concern. I purchased a home from Preferred Homes and had multiple problems with them. It began with them telling me the house would take about a month to build and it took much longer than that. Jason also told me they work every day except Christmas and and Thanksgiving which is not true either. When my house finally got built I had to wait until after Thanksgiving for it to be delivered because they didnt want to move it during the the Thanksgiving holiday due to traffic. When they did finally deliver it, it sat in 2 pieces for about a month before it was put together and he told me that would take a few days. After that it took another 2 months to get it blocked in which is another nightmare of a problem in itself. It was the worst block laying job Ive ever seen in my life. Then when I was ready to move in, one side of the house had no power. When they finally came to fix it they didnt get it right and had to come out again. I still have one outlet that trips frequently when used. Jason told me he had the best people working for him and theyve worked for him for many years. In my opinion they work for him because no one else would have them. I can feel stuff under the carpet in several spots and the carpet has been cut in several placesand put back together which is now coming apart. The most recent problem is my a/c. I have a leak and found out they didnt install the part of the unit inside the house that was purchased with the outside unit. Apparently I have paid for an a/c unit that I didnt receive! With this being said I would highly recommend you choosing another dealer when you are ready to purchase a new home even if it means paying a little more upfront.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would, but 5 was all I was allowed to give, so 5 stars it is. This was the final place we shopped for the day just hoping we wouldnt have to keep going because there were no more left to shop in the area. We almost didnt go because it was a bit of a drive and we had already driven so much. I am so glad we decided to go here. We were greeted by the owner of the place and I cant say enough good things about him and the entire experience from start to finish. He was so friendly, more knowledgeable than anyone else at any other dealer, and he took as much time as we wanted to look at every single home with us and never once did we feel rushed, pressured, misled, or get any other bad feelings. All the homes seemed to be of great quality and they all showed beautifully. And the prices we got for the quality we got could not be matched by anyone else we shopped. This man went above and beyond our expectations. We ultimately purchased not one, but two new homes from him and left with the confidence that we would be in the best hands from start to finish. Hats off to the owner of this place, I can see why he has been in business for 38 years. DEFINITELY give this place a try before you decide to purchase elsewhere. 10 stars.

Me and my Wife was on the way over to buy and look at homes from this place BUT after she keep reading reviews after reviews. We turned around and went somewhere else...Sheww man thats awful, feel so sorry for theses customers that spend so much...

The place closes at 5pm pulled up with 15 mins left and they locked the door right in front of me before I could get out of the car and then both workers went and hid out of sight. If this is how they treat new customers I can see what will happen if you buy from them. Stay away from this place.

Started looking for a home and this was the first place we stopped. The staff was very friendly. We emailed our pre-approval application and we were pre-approved. We took the next step which was the application process, we were informed we would need 10% down which was no problem. After waiting for some form of communication I emailed Jason Cherry, he said he would email me the following Monday which was May 11th 2020.. Its June 26th and I still have not heard a word.. If I could give 0 stars I definitely would.

Very poor workmanship on house. It took forever to get them out to do any work and still had problems on repairs. The roof leaked, trash under tile. I did not get good quality replacement flooring. Just put on new roof on house due to so many leaks. I had crack in ceiling, since serviceman repaired it cracked back out. I bought this house from Jerry Phillips and very disappointed in the treatment I received. When you send people out to do repairs and still can not fix problems. I certainly do not recommend this company. I paid cash for this home and if I had financed it they could have come out and took it back.

My husband and I walked into Preferred Homes March 5th, 2019 to thank the staff for selling us a great home almost three years ago. Our home survived the tornado on March 3rd, 2019 with minor damage. When we walked in Jason remembered who we were. Jason pulled out our floor plan so we could order three windows, shudders and siding from the manufacturer. We also asked if they could come out and make sure the house didnt shift. Jerry came out later in the week and gave us wonderful news that the house didnt shift at all. We are grateful we listened to all the options that were available. We spent the extra money for the tie downs, the metal roof hand masonry skirt and thankful we did. Our house may have been severely damaged like others were.

Jason is very nice. Made us feel at home. We cant wait to buy a mobile home from them!

My fiancé and I had been house hunting for a while. Exploring our options. We have land but we weren’t ready to build so I started looking at homes in the city instead of living on our land. We didn’t really want to move away from our piece of heaven, but we desperately needed a bigger home for our family of 5! I was so close to making an offer on a house but I just couldn’t make myself do it. It didn’t feel right. So I followed my heart and we decided to call Preferred Homes! Let me tell you... when I was house hunting it was very frustrating and emotionally draining. It seemed like we hit road block after road block. It just made me feel like it wasn’t meant to be. But once we started going through the process with Preferred Homes everything was falling in to place so easily! It *felt* right. The entire process was so comforting and easy. We have had nothing but great things to say! Jason has been so incredibly helpful and has been there whenever we needed him with answers to our questions and/or concerns even when he was on vacation!!! It felt like he really did have our back and that is hard to find these days! The owner’s son, Eric, has been the one who’s been doing all the work on our land getting us ready to move in and he has done so much hard work in this heat it’s amazing. He has done so much and helped us out here and there with things and also went above and beyond. He even helped me speak with our electric company when my fiancé was at work and I wasn’t sure what we needed done and how. He didn’t have to but he did and that’s just one small example of how much he’s done. This company is great and I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We have talked with numerous others in our town who also got homes from Preferred and I have only heard good things. Everyone is happy! Highly recommended 👍

They sell a home that falls apart wont fix hole in flooring faucet in kitchen keeps falling apart gonna call someone who knows how to fix things dont buy from this place you are warned
