I ordered on November 21 as a Christmas Gift for our granddaughter. I was promised it would arrive by mid to late December. It is now Christmas Eve and no gift. At this point I will not order again as they obviously dont deliver the magazine but took the monies the very next day.
I wouldnt rate them nothing because they let me go after 4 or 5days of training aint we suppose to learn thats why its called training I feel like I was discriminated against I made it clear to lisa I had a learning disability and she used that against me never gave me a chance to learn the system
I won’t say that this is a bad Children’s book company. I can say that there a horrible company to work for .I was training there for about 4 days on my forth day my little sister got very sick and I couldn’t make it .I called even before they opened there office never once in all those training days and all the things the trainer talked about did she say if you miss one day you’ll be fired. I was fired before the day even ended. I am not saddened because 12.50 an hour without ever getting a raise is nothing to be saddened about .but for a Children’s company you’ll think they’ll take into consideration that I’m 22 with custody of a 13 year old and couldn’t go that day. or atleast let me no so i could do the impossible to get there . Very disappointing
Its a wonderful place. I remember doing the books I loved hunting for the hidden items. Some of my greatest memories as a child. My dad would read the news paper and I would be doing my highlights books.
Horrible Customer Service and Poor Business Practices! They sent items I told them to cancel, which a child opened, and they will not return. The products were in brand new shape. I spent 15 minutes on hold to get a person who would do nothing to help me. They assessed a late fee on an item I did not mean to have opened and was trying to return and would not dismiss the fee. There is no outside packaging telling you not to open the plastic even if my kids would have read it before opening.Highlights, please do not put please call our Customer Service, that title for your employees is a blatant lie, there is no service going on there! Your scheme is tantamount to fraud. I will never purchase another item from Highlights after this encounter. So, I am warning anyone reading this. STAY AWAY FROM HIGHLIGHTS TOP SECRET ADVENTURES or any of their magazine/books. More than disappointing.
Borderline scam business practices.Use great care in what you order from Highlights. Some items, even though not described as so, are continuing subscriptions. Highlights will, without authorization, charge your card. Customer service is crude, informal and does not follow through as promised over the phone. If I could I would give zero stars.
Terrible Company all around. Fraud and Scam!!!
Highlights is proudly sending children their first deceptive promotional materials in the mail. At first, the magazines were fun, wholesome, and educational, but we made the mistake of sending in the puzzle club postcard that resembled a winning lottery ticket. After the “free trial”, they sent another, then started sending bills, then passive aggressive collections letters. We cancelled the regular magazines because the trust is gone after that. One star for the nice customer service lady (sorry for taking my frustration out on you). Another star because the initial subscription magazines were good. No more stars because don’t support this company.
Way way over priced! signed my son up for the hidden picture club for $10 he received 2 books. then 2 weeks later was charged $20 for another shipment. that is way over priced for what would be in each shipment. Getting 2 hidden picture magazines twice a month for 1 year will cost nearly $500!!!!! They have several clubs available so make sure you pay attention to how much and how often your charged after the very reasonable first shipment is! Also why do you make us call to cancel. your sure quick to let us change cards online and pay but not cancel any memberships. with all the apps for iPad or other tablets who needs to pay a fortune to this company!
