This is a good korean supermarket where they sell “banchan” that the owners of the market make themselves. other korean supermarkets in the greater columbus area buy their banchan from manufacturers in chicago area. one item that they carry is “jokbal” which is pigs feet. its a delicacy from korea but not everyones cup of tea. i go here once in a while when i miss the comfort of childhood when there were no worries of adulthood.
Best place to pick your your meats to make sure your kbbq at home!
The best Korean market around.
Do not waste your time if this your first time going to this store. Customer service is non-existent. The workers all spend more time looking at their phones instead of trying to assist a paying customer.
Reviewing only for the groceries, havent tried the restaurant. Good local place to shop for korean groceries. Clean and well organized. Have most of the stuff Im looking for for korean cooking, but I have experienced that for some items they suddenly stop carrying. Their homemade kimchi is very good (the big bottles with no label).
Great little place! Very friendly and helpful.
I got the spicy stir fried chicken and the chicken teriyaki. Ive had the spicy stir-fried chicken before and it is excellent. This is the first time Ive tried the chicken teriyaki and it was not what I expected. It tasted okay but it was not what I consider typical in that the sauce was thin and did not cling to the meat.
Great selection, well-stocked, delicious eat in dining, very pleasant staff.
The restaurant was open, and the food was excellent. I had ox tail soup. The ladies in the kitchen told me it takes three(3) days to prepare it, if that tells you how authentic the food is. Eaten there a few times. Exceptional food. I don’t have a problem with their customer service. Cashier nodded when I came in. I’m fine with that. He was friendly when I checked out. Great selection of food. Visit it sometime.
This place is great. They even have octopus 🐙
It is a place to visit because of its convenient distance but compared to other Korean markets, the same product is sold at a high price.
I lived in Wonju, and this is the only place in ohio that has the best kimchi. This store is a small piece of authenic Korea. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
The only place near downtown Columbus to get any Korean ingredients! Love it!
Its nice to have a local Korean market to make a great meal with friends. I wish the customer service was a little better. I always greet the staff in Korean but they dont seem to be very responsive.
Dont believe this place is open to the public, despite signs that say otherwise. We didnt encounter a single person around and the aisles were stacked with product.
Had spicy chicken and it was delicious. Clarence Foster
Good price.
All sorts of Korean food and friendly staff.
Love this place can get hard to find items
The market is small, but the best in the area, from Cleveland to Columbus. When in the Columbus, Ohio area, from Mansfield, I make a point of shopping at Arirang Oriental Market.
Korean grocery store with a cafe in the back with a decent selection of Korean food staples. (Pay at the cashier up front for the food and theyll provide you a slip to provide the kitchen.) Selection decent for the size and I was able to find everything I needed as long as I wasnt brand picky. Easy to find and park considering it is in a shopping center and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Very nice place, was looking all over Columbus for Soju and they are the only ones to have it. Very friendly staff and clean store.
Not that big of selection didnt even have soy paper
Small Korean market, but what can you do... Theres not an H-mart around haha. Prices are definitely about 30%-45% more than what youd find at H-mart.... But i cant complain because there arent really many Korean markets around. Not too big of a variety, but the NARA restaurant inside is pretty decent. Just dont get their seafood pancake... Its not very good... And the sauce is pretty much just very salty soy sauce. I tried almost every dish and thsts the one I have to complain about. I gave it several tries.
Absolutely one of the best restaurants in town. The food was amazing and the service as well.
Great food not just good. Must try.
Customer service is great, good Korean foods there people that works there are extremely nice. My family went there today first time going to Korean market since we moved to Ohio it was a long drive but was worth it for sure
Had a little difficulty finding what I wanted considering it was my first time shopping without my mother in-law, whom is Korean. The employees there were very helpful and patient in helping me find what I was looking for. Definitely will be going back.
A good place to get some sundries at a reasonable price. They also have a cafe in the back.
I am absolutely heartbroken that the Korean ladies in the back have permanently closed up the restaurant. This was definitely my favorite restaurant in all of Columbus. Hands down the best home style Korean cuisine at an amazing price.
The best place I’ve found for Korean items. I️ haven’t eaten at the little restaurant in the back, but it looks very authentic. Reminds me of all the Korean stores my mom’s friends owned when I️ was a kid. That’s how I️ know it’s good.
Love this place and will come here again next time Im in Columbus and want to buy delicious authentic food that I cant read!
Lots of good products! I like that they have freshly made kimchi and other delicacies.
Decent prices for Asian groceries. Customer service could use some improvement. Youll get not so much as a warm smile during checkout. The food court has good Korean food, but the tables are not clean...
Pretty reliable store. Offers variety of marinated meat for Kbbq and ready-to-go side dishes, as well as Korean staples in order to make your own food. There is a restaurant in the back that I think is pretty underrated, its not the fanciest, Korean food but is wholesome and well made. The pricing for the restaurant is also very good in comparison to others in the area. Would definitely recommend.
Arirang has everything you need, along with an awesome express kitchen in the back! My personal favorite is the Black Bean soymilk they sell! I promise itll change your mind about soy milk if you didnt like it before! Get fresh produce, Korean spices, rices, flours, sweets, and more!
The bulgogi and bibimbap at the little restaurant are to DIE FOR. I crave it every other day😭😭the restaurant has such a cute little seating area. EXCELLENT hungover food when everything else turns your stomach. The sides are on point, lovely kimchi.
I rate for cheap fresh groceries, some Korean goodies and those nice ladies in the back restaurant cooking me good food But Not So Much of how being treated as a non-Korean customer. This is not my first time coming here. Never got a hello or goodbye when walking in and out of this place. Seems like only Korean customers get greeted.
Awesome place to pick up any necessary Korean groceries AND there is a restaurant in the back if the grocery store with wonderful food for wonderful prices
Their kitchen is permanently closed. This is definitely one of the saddest news Ive heard because I really loved their food. Most authentic homecooked feel of Korean food in Columbus and now its gone..
A hole in the wall with surprising hard-to-find items the major Columbus Asian markets dont have. Great prices, great overhead music, and kind & courteous staff.
Food is delicious and I love their variety of products to take home, but Im non-asian and while I was standing in line at the register they skipped me twice and pulled two Asian customers from behind me in line to be helped before me. I dont understand that behavior whatsoever and it was very rude. It made me feel like they didnt want my bussiness. Like I said I love the food (its why I come), but if Im treated like that again I wont be returning and I will stop recommending this place to my friends.
Really good korean market with a variety of stuff in store. My go to for cheap asian snacks.
Lots of things to choose from. Very interesting. Nice Korean grocery store.
If you are looking for a great hometown Korean flavor. You cant go wrong with this place. Tofu pot and the sausage pot are like the way my mom used to do.
A must for anything Korean.
Good place to go to satisfy cravings for Korean food items. Good selection, reasonable prices. Authentic food items.
A clean and well lit market, small in size but sure to meet your basic needs for a selection of asian staples. Specializes in Korean regional flavors, frozen and deli prepared condiments and sides.
Various Korean food including veges, Kimchi, side dish, snack, and ramen etc
The people are always nice and try to help as much as possible.
The food was delicious and generously portioned. They have picture menus in both Korean and English, and everyone was very friendly. We also enjoyed the large pot of warm barley tea with our meal.
Good selection of asian produce, particularly Korean products.
Great selection of Korean and other east Asian products. But, the real draw of this place is the cafe in the back. Best Korean food in Columbus, hands down.
Great little spot. Very good Korean food for a reasonable price. Super informal and very authentic.
Love this place. Very authentic Asian food in the kitchen, but unfortunately the kitchen is permenantly closing November 21st 2018.
A below ok store. Poor service especially at the checkout. You walk in there and feel unwelcome right away if youre not Korean. As for the dining part, the ventilation was bad. You smell the food smoke and grill all over you. Sometimes the air gets so bad it makes you cough.
Super good!
They always have the best food and selection.
Got an undercut this morning on the left side of my head, went to go eat with a friend, and afterwards the owner of the store came up to me and told me he liked the right side of my head better than the left. i tried to politely tell him i liked my hair the way it is, but he repeated at least three more times that the right (unshaved, long hair) part of my head looked good, while the left side was not so much... honestly it was such a rude unnecessary unprofessional encounter that ruined an otherwise great night.
Incredible kimchi made in-house and all kinds of authentic Korean goodies. The bulgogi at the meat counter is aces!
Come here often. Very friendly service with great choices of good quality korean grocery.
Amazing fresh prepared meals, though be prepared to wait a while depending on what you order.
The store was clean and shelves were pretty well stocked. Front counter help was friendly and helpful.
Great Oriental market has everything you need!!
Best price and selection of in-store made, fresh bon chon sides. Delicious dine-in kitchen in the back. Best Korean grocery prices since they chose to specialize. For instance SamYang 5-packs some $1 less than other Asian variety stores.
Great store for korean needs . Great prices in their food court
This place is really cool, they have so much korean food and I love the teokbokki
Good place to shop for Korea marinated beef . They also have small section for dining. Price is very reasonable especially for college students.
They have a restaurant in the back it is one of the best Korean places to get authentic Korean dishes
The food was great because it make you feel like home cook meal
Good Korean market with some Japanese items too.
I like their fresh fish. I dont need to flight far away to shopping for seafood
Nice Asian food mart with most of the staples you need.
The food is great, diverse selections and polite staff.
Nice products and decent place; however, Im giving 4, because there was a stack of trash in the back visible to customers. Everything else was fine
Very nice workers and their inventory is just what I need.....
Great place to pick up Korean food.
Not a big store, but well stocked with Asian foods, especially Korean. Staff is always friendly and helpful for us non-asians.
Good selection of Korean goods.
Wide variety of Korean products, fresh banchan, and good food. The soju is reasonably prices and you can find just about any food product here.
Large selection, good food, talk to the cashier at the front of the store to order.
Awesome! Nara korean restaurant
A mid-sized Korean market. They have excellent home made kimchi
Best korean food in Columbus and is hidden. Away just enough that it is rarely crowded
Good selection of Korean groceries, you can get specialty things that you might not find at CAM or Saraga but it is a little pricier
Great store and great food. Friendly people.
Simple place with a good selection. Staff were very helpful
Great food in the food court with super low prices. Amazing!!!!
Good Korean food restaurant inside the market with descent price
Food is great with no fillers (does NOT have lettuce in their bibimbap, thank god). Staff is neither rude or overly friendly; neutral Id say, which isnt bad, not everyone needs to have their ___ kissed. Location is weird (especially when all the customers are nosey and stare), but the food is great and not over priced, so Ive gotten over it. Would recommend to anyone looking for yummy Korean food in Columbus. Also if you like any of their ban-chan (side dishes), they got you covered. There is a fridge right before the seating area that has most of them in containers you can buy to eat at home. Not sure if they always have them there, but every time Ive gone, they do.
This place and Silla are the only authentic Korean restaurants in columbus. the staff is very friendly. People say they are not friendly because they speak to the staff like they cannot speak english. People, they know 2 languages to your 1, remember that. Just speak to them like you would to the uneducated cashiers at your local grocery stores and they will treat you like a person too. We are just Korean, not deaf or stupid.
