Our A/C stopped working. We called Custom Air on Tuesday afternoon. A service technician came to check it out early Wednesday morning. It was determined that our 19 year old unit needed replaced. A sales technician came the same day at noon and went over all our options and prices with us that best fit our needs for our square footage. Our new A/C was installed and working the following Monday. We received a discount for being a repeat customer. Custom Air had replaces our furnace a feed years ago and checked out our A/C too. At the time they determined it was working good and we didnt need to spend the money on a new then. It was great honest service and gave us a few more years without spending money on the new unit. The service technicians were knowledgeable and very efficient. We would highly recommend Custom Air Conditioning to anyone needing any kind of service or new air conditioner or furnace. We are very satisfied!

We had our 25 year old GeoThermal Water-Furnace replaced with a new model. Cory, Sam, and Mike did a great job, and the new Water-Furnace is so quiet we cant believe it. These are great people to work with.

We have used Custom Air for over 25 years. We attribute annual routine maintenance through CA with the unusually long life span of our A/C system (35 years old). When the system was no longer cooling, we called CA and our favorite service tech (Tim R) was dispatched within a few hours. After diagnosing the problem, he advised to have a new system, given the age and the cost of the repair. A salesperson arrived promptly the next morning (Scott G), and provided information on a new system that would meet our cooling needs and budget. Much to our surprise, Scott called later that afternoon to let us know the system we selected was in stock AND an installer available for the following morning! The installer (Ryan B) arrived at 8:30am and we were signing the charge slip at 1:30pm. In essence, we had a system failure and a new system installed all within 48 hours. The true test of a stellar company is how they react when things go wrong. Having no working A/C when temps are in the 80s is no fun. The inter-departmental communication between service, sales and installation were excellent, resulting in a very satisfied customer.

This company was recommended by a friend when needing to replace a failing 35 year old furnace/ac system. From first contact, all the employees were wonderful. Scott came to our home, answered all our questions and provided several options for a new system. No pressure to sale, just the information we needed to make an informed decision (he encouraged us to talk to other companies to compare products!). A week later after talking to other companies, we chose CA and contacted Scott who took care of everything. Sam and Mike arrived on time and didn’t stop till our system was installed, totally ignoring the rain and 90 degree temperatures. They clearly had a work routine down and jumped right in (never saw them take a break in the 8 hours they were here). They took pride in their work and went above and beyond to make sure our systems were installed properly and that we knew how to work our new digital thermostat. We are very happy with our new system and this company. They were honest with old fashioned values about what we needed and didn’t need, treated us like family. Custom Air installed a new HVAC system at my home. They sent someone to my house the day I called for a quote, and the sales rep, Pete, was extremely helpful and responsive. He was honest about what features I did and did not need and helped me choose the best system for my home. Later, when my first equipment choice was unavailable from the factory, he worked to get me an excellent alternate equipment. He also scheduled the installed in a reasonable time-frame.The install team (Corey S and Jake R) was friendly, professional, and helped me understand differences between my old and new system. They showed up on time, were mindful of my home, and did the job relatively quickly. We could not be more pleased with the service we received from Custom Air Conditioning and Heating. We had a heater that looked as if it had been installed 50 years ago or more. It had no fan to circulate the air, and we depended on window air conditioners during the summer months. All that changed with a call to Custom Air. We went with Custom Air because they had the best combination of price, efficiency, and quality for a new heat pump system. The installers, Corey and Jordan, were very professional and personable. Really happy with the whole experience of getting an entire HVAC system installed. Scott was great on the front end, no high pressure, just very informative, laid back and knowledgeable. He provided different price options and features and provided a quote that was reasonably priced and did not go over the agreed amount. As far as the installation went, Corey and Justin were fantastic, on time, friendly, very professional and got right to work. I took the day off to observe and occasionally pepper them with questions, and they both were very patient and helpful in answering them. True professionals. I’ve been a Custom Air customer for over 10 years. They have installed multiple a/c systems, whole house dehumidifiers and furnaces in our house. I’ve always been impressed with the quality and professionalism of their technicians, and just as important to me, when there have been unexpected problems, Custom Air’s responsiveness has been tremendous. One of our whole house dehumidifiers just died, and within 1 day of this happening, Custom Air got the manufacturer to cover a replacement unit under warranty, and had Cory and Mike out to the house to install the replacement. They are just fantastic to work with.

I have been fighting with my Hvac system for a couple years and I gave up and called around to get estimates knowing our furnace and AC needed replaced. Custom Air was the most professional company I could have asked for.Scott H came out to give us an estimate and actually spent the time to calculate exactly what size system I needed and answered all our questions completely and throughly. We were even able to downsize our furnace with a more efficient one, and add a heat pump/AC unit to save on propane. He was friendly & informative & listened to my needs. After 20+ years, my original furnace died. Custom Air made it easy for me to decide which furnace and A/C system to purchase, and the “emergency” installation meant I had heat just a few days later. Very nice!The sales guy showed up, worked within my budget, helped me with obtaining the best financing deal, and left me with a few quote options.Ended up choosing the furnace, A/C, humidifier and electrostatic filter. I can’t say that this will pay for itself, but it will certainly lower my energy bills each month, and allowed me to remove several redundant room filters and humidifiers.The installers (Bolton, Jake and Sam) came out a few days later, we’re very professional and helpful, set-up my thermostat of choosing, got all the components up and running, then did a full post-install diagnostics to make sure things were working properly. An appropriately-sized team was sent out, so all the work was completed in one day.Was impressed with the little details, which are probably required by code, but were still appreciated: duct work taped off properly, aesthetically pleasing installation of all components, and even keeping my floors clean with booties and a “blue runner” for keeping dirt away from the carpet.Overall, I am very happy I chose this company and would absolutely do business with them again in the future!

I recently moved into my new house. I have used Custom Air in the past so I had them come out to check out my furnace in my new home. Greg performed his inspection and found extremely high levels of carbon monoxide. He had to shut off my furnace and of course it being one of the colder nights we had with no heat. They got me a meeting with Chris first thing the following morning. Before Chris even got here he had already checked to see if a new furnace could be put in the same day. Lucky for me they were. He checked to see what furnace I had and showed me different options. I selected the best one for me and he got going on his end with that. By noon Ryan, Justin and Abel showed up and started switching out the furnace. They were here a couple of hours and had the new furnace in and up and running. This was one of the best experience I have ever had with a company. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and professional. They made this difficult situation so much easier. In February of 2021, we selected Custom Air Columbus to completely switch out our gas furnace and air conditioning unit (both were over 15 years old!). The Custom Air folks gave us a competitive and detailed quote for the labor and equipment. This work was performed in about 8 hours (wide-open basement and minimal duct work helped). The crew of Corey S., Mike F., and Able W. were fantastic! They worked out in the snow for the compressor side and in our basement without complaint. The finished product was phenomenal. All the little things, drain lines, vents, tape, etc., were all nice and neat. I dont know how they did it, but it seems like there is more space around the furnace than before (the furnace is about the same size). Most importantly, the new unit is running well, just in time for the snow and freezing temperatures we recently experienced. I would highly recommend Custom Air and will continue to use them for HVAC support.

I was very happy with the service this month from Custom Air. Chris answered all my questions as he provided estimate for a system to replace my ancient HVAC. I got a Bosch inverter heat pump for AC and mild heating, and a Goodman 96 percent variable speed dual stage furnace for cold days like the snow we have falling now here today. The new system has many nice features i know i will enjoy, and the installation was solid, clean and compact. I found their price to be competitively fair and the workers Justin and Corey were friendly and competent. I would recommend Custom Air to anyone who wants to receive quality service at a good price. It was refreshing to find this because I shopped around and heard some conflicting sales info and steep estimates from some other local firms.

Originally found them because of a home warranty included with our home purchase. This company was quick to return our calls on both occasions we’ve called. They have been thorough and knowledgeable in all of their services. Repaired/changed oil filter on our fuel oil furnace initially and recently installed a new propane furnace. Everyone was on time, courteous professional, and wore masks while on site. There was a problem during the initial installation which resulted in the external unit being very loud. I brought this up to the service manager who looked into it immediately. I prepared myself to hear why they were not going to be able/willing to correct the situation without much hassle. But, I was greatly surprised when they replaced the unit without my having to raise heck with them. In fact, all I had to say was that I was not happy with the unit. I had CustomAir install a new furnace after our basement flooded last month and ruined our old furnace. I really appreciated the fast turn around time from the salesman Scott, he quickly worked with my homeowners insurance to get the process going. I was very impressed by the installation crew Cory and Justin. They had their work cut out getting my ancient old furnace disassembled and removed. They were very careful with the dirty job of removal and used drop cloths. They remained so pleasant and courteous the entire day. There was another technician who arrived later to make sure start up went smoothly, which gave me peace of mind. The salesman even stopped by to ensure we were happy and that all went as planned. Very grateful for the fast, clean, effective work on a very cold evening to replace my dead furnace. Theres plenty of other HVAC companies out there without having to settle for the lousy, hostile service from CustomAir, and you should choose a different one. Ive used CustomAir exclusively for my house and my business for 15+ years. I own 5 furnaces and a/cs, and two in-ceiling units, at least four of which Ive purchased from CA. I had an ongoing thermostat problem that a CA tech had addressed multiple times without resolving completely. When assistance was needed on a snowy weekend day (my business operates seven days per week), the weekend tech started to explain why my choice of devices was problematic and that it should have x and y done to it to work properly. I stated that the resolution to the trouble he was suggesting should have been done by one of their techs on a previous service call, since no-one but CA has ever touched it ~ if there was a problem, they should have addressed it previously. I was told I would have to prove that no-one else other than CustomAir personnel had touched my furnace since the last service call (really?), but the impolite person on the other end of the phone had no access to my service records and told me it was going to be $400 to have it looked at. When I disputed that anyone else had ever touched it based on my long history with this company, I was again told that he had no access to records and I could either pay him for emergency service or wait until the next business day. When I suggested that this was BS, he hung up on me. I rely on a lot of service companies for my business and Ive treated everyone well and paid promptly. This company used to have good service, but not any more. Theres plenty of other HVAC companies out there without having to settle for the lousy, hostile service from CustomAir, and you should choose a different one.EDIT: To make matters worse, the new company I hired fixed the problem in less than an hour and charged me less that you would have. Your company, in addition to installing the furnace originally, also was called out at least three previous times to address this exact problem (most recently on 2/20/20) without fixing the problem beyond temporarily. To mention that this was a holiday weekend (two days after Christmas) is a sympathy-ploy, making this problem about you, the business, and not me, the customer. How do you think I felt on a holiday weekend to have a valued supplier leave me hanging when I needed them? Especially to fix a problem you had failed to solve multiple times previously? Therein lies your basic problem. And you reached out ONCE and left me a message, which I appreciate, but to say it was multiple times is just not true. You spent more time writing responses to this review than you did reaching out to me.

They completed their work in the amount of days as outlined in their proposal. The price that was quoted remained the same. They answered all our questions.Once the furnace was installed they cleaned up the area.

I came home from work on Friday November 15, 2019 to find no heat on inside my house. It was a cool 63 degrees inside my home. I called Custom Air after hours emergency service department and they had a service tech there in 45 minutes. The service tech quickly resolved my heating problem. Fast service! Fair price! Our furnace quit while it was 22 degrees out. They were able to come out within a couple hours. A couple quick tweaks and fixes, and we were up and running again. Very inexpensive! Thank you!

We are in the process of remodeling our new home and needed to replace the furnace and central air in it. Chris came out for the initial estimate and was on time, professional, and took the time to go over several options with us. When we had the new system install Chris also did the installation along with Jacob. They were both great. Very friendly, completed the installation efficiently and explained how the system worked in an easy to understand manner. We were highly satisfied with our experience.

I just recently replaced my furnace and air conditioner. Ryan and Bolton were the installers. They arrived 8:00 am and worked throughout the day and completed the install by 4:30. I am so pleased with my new equipment and great job both Ryan and Bolton completed. They placed cloths down to protect carpeting and stairs. Both even wore cloth booties over their shoes. They explained the install process and the operation of the new equipment and answered all questions. I could not be happier with making the decision of choosing Custom Air.

Like may In central Ohio my basement flooded with water! As a senior citizen I was so impressed how fast they responded to replacing my furnace. Thank you for a job well done.

First of all, I am VERY surprised that Custom Air got this high of a review with all of these people. I am very unhappy with these people. I was tricked and they played me for fool only because they knew I had the money to pay for their services. In addition to that, my AC went down for the 2nd time in its 3 year full operational use. They installed LEMON of a Trane unit and Custom Air benefited highly from their ungodly labor rates.My most recent repair happened about 3 weeks ago while I was in the process of moving out of my property. There was a water leak out of the ac unit in the basement and of course I had to get CA to come in so I could close on the house. Diagnosis was a frozen evaporator on a 3 year old unit! The tech that did the Diagnosis, Josh, told me fairly nicely that it would cost $410 to replace the evaporator. I was very pissed knowing that about 13 months prior to this issue, I had another part fail that caused freon to leak as well. Josh showed me his paperwork and told me $410 was the for sure cost to do the repair in and out since the part was still under warranty. The next day, Randy from the quotes office calls me and informs me that the part is available and that it would cost $655. I was livid at this point. The tech told me to my face $410. And since I was in the middle of moving, I forgot to ask Josh to write down his quote of $410. Randy was going to check with Josh and called me back; between the two of them, they teamed up on me and basicallyLIED to me over the phone. This very same day, I mentioned this issue to one of the guys helping me move and he heard for sure that the quote Josh gave me was $410. Mover guy is my witness. I could sue Custom Air for all I know. But I had to move on and do the goodwill with the new owners and get the system repaired.And of course, once the part was replaced, I wanted to see true evidence of the leak. After asking the guy that replaced the part, all I could do was assume and trust their judgment that that was truly the issue. HOW CAN I BE FOR SURE THAT WAS THE ISSUE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM IF YOU COULDNT SHOW ME EVIDENCE?!With all that said, I loved that house I lived in but I HATED that Trane system and it was VERY UNFORTUNATE that the people installed it were from this corrupt company called Custom Air Heating and Cooling!

Scott Wittler, a friend for over 10 years, had always talked about how much he enjoyed working for Custom Air so I thought I would set up a meeting to see about replacing a 50 + year old furnace and adding central air. Scott Haring came by explained all my options and answered all my questions. He did a great job of explaining things in simple terms that I could understand. After meeting with other companies, I choose Custom Air because of Scotts presentation and also the great price that was being offered. On installation, Justin and Bolten were on time and did a fantastic job. Went way faster than expected and they walked me thru all the work that was done. Fantastic experience. A week later, my neighbors AC went out and I had told them how great a job Custom Air did. They chose Custom Air and said they did an excellent job as well. I will sing their praises anywhere I can. Excellent experience(s) with them. The service techs are very knowledgeable. I have had some ghost in the machine issues that they have diagnosed and fixed. I have had warranty issues which the main office people have worked hard to resolve. I mentor small businesses on customer experience and this company meets the high standards that any business should have when it comes to customer experience. I highly recommend calling them for your HVAC work.
