I chose the lowest level -- what was covered completely by my insurance -- and they are working perfectly. I even got the hearing aids in less than two weeks. The location is in a busy area with no on-street parking, so the Hearing Center even pays for valet parking for their clients. In short, an excellent experience. Great customer service. The audiologist took his time with my husband to pinpoint the problems and then had to put together the hearing aids that would help him best. My husband can now hear a pin drop.

I have been to The Hearing Center of Ohio about a dozen times and EVERY time I am treated professionally by the entire staff. When they call with appointment reminders, I can actually see the smile on their face. The work ethic is great and when a commitment is made it is kept. I wouldnt even consider another office for my hearing needs.

Went for hearing test, after test Dr. says, Wow, how can you live with your hearing so bad? He then went over the data and said my hearing was at 88% and wanted me to buy $7,000 hearing aids, $3500 after insurance. After I refused, he couldnt get me out of his office fast enough. When I got home, I noticed they didnt get any paperwork on my hearing test. They told me I had to ask for the test results, I thought how unprofessional. After research, I found the same hearing aids for $3500 without insurance.

Covid brought me in. Ive had trouble hearing since childhood but with masks and a world full of plexiglass, I have had so much more trouble with my hearing. Of course, reading lips has also been out of the question. Thank God I found The Hearing Center!! Great customer service!!! Very friendly office staff and doctor. Felt like I had known them for years on my first visit. Diagnosed my hearing problem after testing. Go to them first if you have a hearing issue. I love being able to hear out of my right ear now. I was terrified when I realized i could not hold out any longer and needed hearing aids. the whole experience at the Hearing Center de-panicked me quickly, and I have loved my in the ear aids which are easy to use, impossible to lose, and have allowed me the conversational life I formally had. It was easy to make an appointment, and the whole staff is warm, friendly and thoughtful. I have already recommended them to friend who are beginning to think they might need to have a hearing test.

My mom’s hearing aid was broken on 1 side. She was 3000 miles away from home and didn’t have hear spare pair with her. I have searched for places that would take a look and repair her hearing aid in a hurry. We first went to a store in north Columbus and was told it was not repairable and was demo a brand new pair for $3000+. After a friend recommend us to check with Dick at The Hearing Center of Ohio, we were so glad we did. Dick was super courteous from the first time we talk. He offered to take a look at the hearing aid and called us on the same day that it was repaired! There was nothing more than a clog inside the unit and he fixed it. He also replaced the tube that was harden, gave battery packs, and gave the beautiful carrying case. Not once that he tries to sell the new hearing aid unit to my mom. He was honest and very professional. It was wonderful experience for us and we highly recommend The Hearing Center of Ohio. Before we left, he offered a free hearing test and consultation for when there are hearing aid sales. We will definitely be coming back!

The “free hearing test” got my attention, so I stopped in and made an appointment. I’m sure glad I did. Dick, Lisa, and Vicky were wonderful. I had a comprehensive exam, and Dick worked to determine what my insurance would pay for hearing aids. He explained everything about my hearing loss and available options for hearing aids. Since then, he has adjusted them when necessary and has gone above and beyond to ensure that I am happy with my choice. I am so glad I stopped in that day and would recommend the Hearing Center to anyone.

The Center was convenient with parking available. My appointment was on time and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Those who I have told to go there have been extremely satisfied. The Hearing Center of Ohio solved our three year search for a hearing aide thanks to Dick Frankenberg and his high tech equipment. We have been to several other hearing professionals, but here we got clear information, straight forward answers to questions, and an opportunity to see and try a hearing aid to meet unique needs.Four days after getting the hearing aide it got wet in the shower. I called Dick in a panic and heard back in an hour. Forty-five minutes later a hearing dryer was delivered to my house. I cant begin to thank Dick and his receptionist enough for the top notch service I received at The Hearing Center of Ohio. Not only did they accomplish in one visit what I could not get done in three weeks from another provider, they were able to do it in a welcoming, professional manner. After having parked mistakingly at a meter the receptionist even ran out and fed the meter when my appointment ran long (my fault). At some it was just time to get assistance to stay connected to the audio world. Working with Dick to modify my new hearing apparatus helped customize the hearing system in order to get the most out of it.

Prior to visiting the Hearing Center of Ohio, I could hardly communicate with others in a one-to-one communication. Now, I could hear clearly even when attending a public meeting. My recent visit to the center helps to eliminate the buzzing noise in my hearing aid when I’m around a loud environment.My experience with Mr. Dick Frankenberg was terrific! He is a very patient and dedicated hearing specialist. The hearing test was conducted in detail and accuracy. During our second visit, Mr. Frankenberg gladly and sincerely helped me with my buzzing hearing aid. As a doctor, he cares earnestly for his patient’s condition and understands his patient’s needs. He is also able to detect a problem and take the right action to overcome it. Despite the language barrier between us, due to my poor English proficiency, he could understand my problems and give the right solution.For room of improvement, the speaker on the hearing aid I purchased is located at the rear of the device, thus increasing the volume of the speaker behind me more rather than the speaker in front of me.-Liem Eng Hwie
