1 star because I never received my items fully. I ordered some things I needed from their online store. When I received the package I only received half of my items. I called them and they said they would ship out the rest of the items right away (August 2021). After a few weeks of not receiving my items I called them again and explained the situation again, I was told I was getting transferred to the customer service department. It went straight to voicemail. I’ve called numerous times after, a couple days in a row and every time I get voicemail for customer service. Left multiple voicemails never got a call back. At this point I just want my money back for the items I didn’t receive.

UPDATE: OPT is working diligently to help correct my mistakes on my order. I look forward to being a repeat customer in the future.I accidentally ordered 2 boxes of the wrong size nitrile gloves. I immediately emailed the company after I realized I ordered the wrong size to see if they could be changed to at least large or xl. No response from them, they just sent me the 2 boxes of gloves way too small to wear. So now I have to find someone with tiny hands and take a loss on them. Glad it was just gloves and nothing too expensive but it is still annoying when they could have done something to help me long before my order shipped.

The best place to buy tools, especially Milwaukee tools, they have everything you could imagine, and crazy deals all the time....I wish they were local to me, so I could drop big orange all together...but the customer service and shipping are top notch so it almost feels like they are local.
They sell quality tools at fair prices. Some of their sales on Milwaukee tools are great. Employees are nice and I believe they want to help. Why 2 stars then?Ive put in 5 or 6 orders with OPT and havent had a single smooth transaction, where I pay for my order and receive it in a reasonable time, or at all.Every single order Ive placed has required me to either reach out to them for a status on my order or them reaching out to me to let me know of an issue. At least twice, they emailed to let me know that they did not have stock, contrary to what their website stated. Told me they would order it and I would get it in a few weeks. A few weeks later they contact me to let me know they can not get the item(s) and asked if there was another item I would be interested in. Maybe it took them that long to realize they couldnt get it, but had I known sooner I would have found another source for the items.I cant recall having a single issue when ordering from HD, Acme, International etc.Bottom line is they failed numerous times to meet what I consider to be reasonable and industry acceptable expectations.
Great customer service! I bought a heated jacket for my husband for Christmas and it was way too big. USPS took a full month to get the jacket back to Ohio Power Tool but in the meantime, I had direct contact with a human being who was constantly checking their warehouse. Very responsive, helpful, and personable! Very rare nowadays!

Purchased a hydraulic jack cost over $500.00 got to use it 3 times and a part went missing on it. Spent several months trying to get it warranted finally got a return for the jack and said they would send me a new one, that was in October of last year. Been going on a year now and I cant even get anyone to respond to my emails. Wont do business with them again!!!
I had a minor snafu on the web site with some great coupons but Nick took care of business and made it right by going the extra mile! That is customer service done right. Things may not always go right but what matters is what a company does when things are less than perfect. I know that I can count on Ohio Power Tool to make things work out right.

Got a hell of deal on some Milwaukee gear, there was an glitch in how the deal stacked. That made it even better of deal. A lot of people took advantage of the great deal. It oversold and my order was slightly delayed. A fantasic employee reached out & informed me of the delay. No excuses no BS just facts. I asked direct questions, the same employee replyed and gave me solid answers and gave me a time frame. The customer service of the this company won me over!!

Was looking for a table saw blade and Freud showed it could be purchased at Ohio Power Tool. Had never heard of this place before but was blown away with the products they carry. Ended up buying the blade I was looking for plus couple other items and ordered a couple more. Things are set up for employee and customer safety during this time of covid. Was shocked employee sprayed paperwork down after signature to make sure next person was safe in our order process. Will definitely be going back!

Had bought a Bosch saw a few years ago and contacted them regarding service. Since I purchased the saw, Bosch changed the warrantee to a single year. I was promptly persuaded to purchase a Milwaukee saw for about the same price as the repair with a five year warrantee that I didnt have to activate as they will track the purchase right there at Ohio Power Tool and they will service it within the covered period...Genius!
I cannot say every transaction has been smooth, but their customer service is second to none and they have gone over and above to accomodate.

I’m a local contractor and I found myself in a jam yesterday. I needed a very specific clamp - immediately. Same day. After striking out with all the usual suspects, I tried out Ohio Power Tool. Michael answered my call and took complete ownership of the problem. He knew what I was looking for, found one in stock, and it was a bit cheaper than Amazon Prime had it. I paid over the phone, sent someone to pick it up, and it saved my job. Afterwards, he emailed to check back with me and give me a receipt. I was looking to buy the Milwaukee M18 1/2” high torque impact driver. Went to Home Depot and I couldn’t justify the price. $250 driver, $270 battery and charger and a battery, which they didn’t have. That purchase would have been near $700 if not more. A buddy of mine told me about Ohio Power Tools. The best advice I listened to. Got the driver, battery, charger and case along with another battery for $399 and change. Best decision ever!! Will be back to buy more tools!!!!!!

Ordered on a sale OhioPowertool had and one item was hard to get Milwaukee Heated Gear. Good communication while I waited and they gave me all options too. I missed the Email when it came back in-stock and they waited longer than I think any company Ive ever dealt with where most would have cancelled it. So I thought I would give praise where it is deserved. That was Michael in Internet Sales who did that. Also got an invoice so I can have for the manufacturer warrantee. Five star service. Only use the big box store when I absolutely need to....and they have sat on my order many times where it was at the HD over the weekend.....when I could have used it the most. Ordered online on 4/15/2020 and was the first time I have ever ordered from them. It is now May 15th and still have not received the order. I have emailed them 3 separate times about the order with no response. They charged a ridiculous shipping charge and never shipped anything. Do not order from this company! No customer service and they do not fulfill orders. Total scam.
I ordered on 5/15 and unfortunately the manufacturer was slow to fill the order and placed my items on back order which can happen during a pandemic but I called today to check because I noticed my card was being charged and spoke with Michael in customer service and he was great to deal with, my order is shipping today and I am super happy that I called. Thanks Michael for helping me today and clarifying things on my order ! ill be back!

I have also had a problem in figuring out when I’ll be getting my two m18 6.0 battery’s and wet dry vacuum. I ordered it 05/10/2020 and it’s now 05/28/2020 and have yet to hear or see when it will be coming in. I understand the times but where is my order or details on when I will get it?
Use them for work and personal. Amazing service, and in this case, when working with myself and the wife trying to exchange a heated jacket Christmas gift for size and fit for the wife. Unfortunately no fit was available (seasonal product availability) which led to a return of a one-day used jacket. Will try again next year on the jacket due to their prices beating everyone else (even amazon). Top notch.

Pre Amazon era level customer service which is so dearly missed these days. A newer sales rep quickly tracked down a Makita tool for me, got the sku into their system, got a demo scheduled with the local maktia rep at a day and time that was convenient for me in my front yard. All happened very quickly. Wow! Incredible service. You have to factor in the convenience that OPT is offering when price shopping.

Dont waste your time or money. I placed an order for a trimmer/blower set in the beginning of May with an estimated ship date towards the end of May. After that date had come and gone with no updates to my order status on the website or any form of communication, I decided to contact Ohio Power Tool to see what was going on.I wound up having to call three different times and speaking with three different people. One of the times, I wound up having to leave a voicemail which will come into play later. When I finally spoke with someone, I was told that the set had been very popular, but they were getting a shipment in that day and by Monday (June 5th), the latest, my order would be shipped. I was perfectly OK with this, even though it was almost a week past the original estimated ship date.About an hour later, I get a call back from a different employee, returning my voicemail. Even though I had already gotten an answer, I figured it wouldnt hurt to get some reaffirmation that my order would be shipping soon. Imagine my surprise when the first thing I am told is Oh, you ordered the trimmer/blower set - well sorry, but I have no good news on that one. When I asked him to elaborate, I was told that they were still working on fulfilling orders that were placed in the beginning of February and IF I ever saw my order ship, it wouldnt be until FALL!!! All this time, keep in mind that I was told less than an hour prior that my order was shipping Monday, the latest.I fully understand that things happen, and I can accept when an unforeseen situation occurs, but that is clearly not the case. First of all, if the package had been out of stock since February, the item should have been marked out of stock on the website, just as the same set was marked on many other websites I checked. At the very least, I should have been contacted at some point within this month long wait and notified that my product was at least not going to ship by the estimated ship date. I mentioned all of this to the associate I spoke with but the outcome was basically it isnt our fault, nothing we can do. Not even an offer of store credit or any attempt to make things right. To add insult to the situation, I missed out on tons of Memorial Day sales on similar items because I had already ordered this set.Bottom line - I can deal with things going differently than planned. I cannot deal with a company that takes 0 responsibility for themselves - from not contacting me to inform me of shipping delays/item unavailability to not trying to even offer a simple solution to an obviously mistreated customer. There are many other companies out there that will go above and beyond to keep you happy when they drop the ball, dont enable companies like this to treat paying customers like this and get away with it.

Ordered a tool we needed ASAP had to call three times to get the information I need to get everything i wanted. final got in touch with Dave. Dave said they had almost everything I wanted and what they didnt have they would have shipped direct from the manufacture I would have it in no more then 3 days. well after 7 days of not getting anything called Dave. his response was they ordered the things i wanted as part of there stock order so it would take longer to get but once they got everything they would ship everything at one time. So needless to stay he out right lied to get the sale had he been honest I never would have placed my order. Canceled my order and wont even use them as a last resort there are a lot of online suppliers that are honest and can take care of there customers so that they keep them. I buy a lot of tools online and have always had great customer service till this experiences with Ohio power tool. If you can wait till there good and ready to ship you what you paid in full for then this is your source if you need your stuff in a timely manner then do yourself a favor and find someone else..

I was happy with my purchase, the only reason for the 4 stars is the lack of any communication from them. I didnt receive anything letting me know when I might get my purchase or if my order was even processed.I paid for it thru PayPal and then I only got information from them after I contacted them asking what was going on. Any purchases I make online with other companies they always contact me and let me know that it was ordered and shipped but Ohio power tools never did. Thats the only thing that I didnt care for. I will purchase tools from them in the future as I was happy with the price and speed of delivery.
Good prices, but Ships within 1 business day is a complete lie. Item was shipped 3 business days after ordered. Dont count on them to process your order quickly.

Did not feel Comfortable sending out the product I ordered, because it was a different address than the home office. We are working to help with the temporary housing in Baton Rouge, and needed the product immediately, even paid $131 for overnight. Ordered on Saturday and on Monday late afternoon I was contacted via email stating the order has been cancelled, without an explanation. Called directly and sent over some information but still was told they could not ship. At the same time our funds have been taken out of our bank account. Not really sure what the problem was, but very disappointed. Went to Amazon, no problems and cheaper.
Best of both worlds. . .Speed and efficiency of an internet store with the expertise and personal customer service of a local brick-and-mortar. While my items were in the internet cart, I was contacted via email by Colton Johnson in the Ohio Power Tool internet sales department to answer my questions and help me find the proper tool for my needs. Although I am thousands of miles away, I felt like I was treated as a local customer at Ohio Power Toolss Columbus brick-and-mortar store. I will definitely be back for additional purchases from Ohio Power Tool.
I have always had great experiences at Ohio Power Tool. Their experience, knowledge, and inventory is 2nd to none. My last tool I purchased was a mag. drill, and what a drill it is...wowl. Thanks everyone there for all the help through the years.

Good selection. They do in house torque testing on the drills since Milwaukee, Bosch, and Dewalt do not publish to the same standard. I would suggest them for advise and Milwaukee tools.

I placed an order back in Apr 3rd for a pack of the Milwaukee Matrix Carbide bits. Here we are sitting at the 16th and they still haven’t shipped. I emailed them and asked for an update. On the 15th i was told they were picked and awaiting shipping. Well now here on the end of the business day on the 16th they still haven’t shipped. I paid more for shipping than i did the bits lets hope i get next day for the money. If i do i’ll Adjust this if not i will let this 1 star stand because i’ve Had a screen shot stating they have been in stock for at least a couple days. I see customers all over OPT’S Facebook talking about how happy they are with the bits they got from them but can only hope they ship mine soon.
Absolutely horrible service. I ordered a $200 jacket online Monday, paid an extra $15 for UPS delivery. Received an email receipt with my order number and charge to the credit card. It is now Thursday and did not receive a package or any update on shipping. Called the company and found out that the jacket will not be in for 2 or 3 weeks. Good thing I called or I would not have known. I cant believe a company operates this way.

Placed an order for Milwaukee tools on May 3rd, on May 4th I was contacted and told that my order would not ship for 2 weeks (05/18). I check on my order on 05/18, told that they hoped it would ship by the end of May!? Cancelled my order and purchased with CPO Milwaukee like I should have done in the first place.

We have had two very poor experiences with OPT. They promise delivery and then cant do it. I have had a significant job put on hold as a result of their broken promises. We will be shopping elsewhere for our Ridgid products.
Its hit or miss, sometimes they have what you need. Tried ordering a few things from them, but they are always 3 to 4 weeks out and they would only put the order as part of a stock order. The Dublin Rd location was far better. This Goodale Rd location has empty shelves and power tool selection is weak. Nice displays but not alot of tools on them.I feel that the staff doesnt have the knowledge about their products that they should. Everytime I go in the store someone different is working there. I shop around first and Ohio power tool is usually a last resort.They just had thier annual cookout were they bring vendors in to show off there products. The week before this cookout I was in there buying some drill bits, and the shelve were pretty spotty. They had Bosch in there stocking some stuff, I assume for the cookout. But I guess what Im getting to is, why not have the shelves full and ready for the customer?Theres alot of options in town, be a smart consumer.

This place doesnt even deserve a one Star but I had to give it to them. Lets begin with it all started with trying to get an estimate to fix my main line machine....It only needed a foot pedal and some bearings for my wheels. The salesman said it would take 7 days which for an estimate seemed like a long time. 11 days later I had to call to only find they hadnt touched it yet. No phone call or any communication to let me know what was going on. The estimate ended up being for $500. WOW!! Thats not even all if it. I was just going to order the parts and fix it myself. The order was placed...Said two or three days to come in. A week later I called back in to see about the parts AGAIN she never had placed the order and they had no idea who I was. Had to reorder again...Oh but wait, theres more...When I went to pick up my machine it was took apart and I said What the Hell!! Salesman said since I refused for them to do the work they wouldnt put it back together. I do not understand how they conduct business this way and are still open. I have given this company thousands of dollars and this is how they treat their customers?! I will never use them or give them another dime.

Very similar experance as the others. I dropped off a bandsaw was told they would look at before weeks end and I would have an estimate. Two weeks later and I callled for a progress update and they had yet to even look at it. Two more weeks go by and I call again finally they had an estimate. But why wouldnt they call me? Told me they had to order parts and should be fixes within a couple weeks. Two more weeks go by and I call them again, told me parts were on backorder. Really!! Customer serves is horriable, just a call with updates is so easy. Why not appoint someone to follow up with customers? If BPT reads these reviews dont you think they could fix this? Just a little communication with your paying customers goes a long way.
